Ziegler and Shuster Fight Over Palin, Round Two

Round one between MSNBC's David Shuster and Sarah Palin documentarian John Ziegler was delicious.

Round two, which took place later in the day Friday on "1600 Pennsylvania Ave," was a tad less contentious, but still quite entertaining.

Pay particular attention to the moment at 6:10 when Shuster actually says:

When you're doing a documentary, when you're evaluating the credibility of someone, because you're going to spend a lot of time doing a documentary or a news story, isn't it important to at least try and test her credibility as opposed to just being taken in by their wonderful personality?

Shuster missed the delicious irony in that being exactly what he and the rest of the Obama-loving media did with the president-elect the last two years (video embedded below the fold, h/t Hot Air):

I almost died laughing when

I almost died laughing when Schuster asked Zeigler if he had tested her. He said something like did you ask her what was on the front page of the Boston Globe, I think it was. Uh, what does what is on the fp of the Boston Globe have to do with her job in Alaska? And I kept wondering, did he think Zeigler should have held up flash cards or something? I loved the irony of the reporting on someone objectively. Schuster wouldn't know how to be objective if it bit him in the butt. I wonder if he knows how stupid and silly that made him look, or if he was thinking, well, I told Zeigler! LOL.

 Shuster couldnt possibly

Shuster couldnt possibly have caught the irony in his statement, the media is so self centered that they are generaly unable to see their hypocisy ... they are only are aware of the hypocisy of others ... comical, not surprising and sad rolled into one

save money dumb bombs for dumb people... durka durka ... dark_ds said that

dark

Sadly, they seem to have no idea how hypocritical they really are. Can you just see Schuster, though, meeting the Governor, and whipping out a big stack of flash cards with stories from the headlines from around the country? I'm sure he knows every headline from every paper, for every given day.s/ I wish Palin had told Couric, no, I don't read newspapers, they are too one-sided, plus they are going the way of the dinosaur, anyway. I get my news from the internet.

They Know!!!

They know exactly how hypocritical they are. What they are doing now is purposeful. They are protecting the empty suit that they were so instrumental in getting elected.

Sarah Palin is pointing out that it was the lack of credibility in the MSM that put the Affirmative Action Hero in office. This terrifies them because if he flounders, so will they. So now they're denying her charges as well as her qualifications.

The Media Hypocrisy Machine is in hyper-drive.

Delicious, indeed

Need more Zeigler!

This guy's tactics with the ever-lying MSNBC are beautiful.  Toss it all back in Shuster's face, repeating his stupid allegations with a note of disbelief ("really, See what?" with eyebrows going up).

Then correcting Shuster..."your tease was misleading".

Once again, he had Shuster spitting like Chrissy Matthews.

Oh...and that parting shot was hillarious.

I also like the fact that he's just like Ann Coulter....walking into the Lyin's Den to take on the biggest liars, and being friendly and undefensive, then totally exploding the liberal lies.

NS....send the man an invitation.

gotta love that Shuster

First he gets suspended for saying the Clintons pimped out their daughter, and then he names Republicans who endorsed Obama as reliable criticism toward Palin.

He's quickly becoming one of my least favorite people in the media.

I'm a typical white person.

The list

Colud David Pimp tell me if that list that he showed as "conservatives" are really conservatives.

Difference between conservative & republican

Auctually, the list was titled republicans. Probably made up by some poor intern lacky at PMSNBC.

Did you notice Colin Powells name on the list. If I was Ziegler, I would have brought that glaring mistake up.

Sheeese, Shuster is a pompus ars. Ziegler was far too nice to him. I would have tossed all his smart alec questions right back in his face.

I couldint believe when Shuster brought up a poll about Palin. I would have asked to see the poll data and, where the poll was taken. The poll was probably taken in the staff restrooms at PMSNBC.

The underlying fallacy in

The underlying fallacy in all this is the idea these types are trying to promote is that the publications of the mainstream media really inform anybody about anything.

Also, who says that the people on their list are Conservatives?  Krauthammer or whatever for example is a run of the mill talking head to me.  Not a Matthews or an Olbermann to be sure, but conservative?  Just not being a rabid Liberal now makes one automatically a Conservative?  I guess so.  Also, Krauthammer worked for the Carter administration and was a speech writer or something for Mondale.

One of the 24% who thinks George W. Bush was a great President. One of the 89% who wants to bring back the stock and pillory.

As usual, he misses the point

"When you're doing a documentary, when you're evaluating the credibility of someone, because you're going to spend a lot of time doing a documentary or a news story, isn't it important to at least try and test her credibility as opposed to just being taken in by their wonderful personality?"

As usual, he misses the point.  This documentary isn't about Sarah Palin, it's about the media's attack on Palin.  In this context, Shuster just passed the (dis)credibility test.

Obama: My job is above my pay grade

Obama or Palin?

My favorite part was Shuster's list of complaints against Palin. Ziegler did precisely what I was thinking and turn it around on Obama.  I too can come up with a list of liberals who felt that Obama was not ready to be President, not to mention Joe Biden!  But of course it never became a theme of the liberal media like it did for Sarah Palin. I wonder why that is?
