As NewsBusters reported earlier, the Associated Press's Ron Fournier published a surprisingly accurate analysis of presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama's decision to tap Joe Biden as his running mate.

Not surprisingly, the far-left organization MoveOn -- never happy when a mainstream media outlet has the nerve to actually say anything bad about a liberal -- has posted a strongly-worded rebuttal at its website that repeatedly asks readers to send e-mail messages to the wire service warning that "the public's faith in the 160-year-old AP will be gone if Ron Fournier is allowed to continue his slanted articles against Democrats and for McCain."

I kid you not:

Dear MoveOn member,

Today, the Associated Press (whose articles are published in thousands of newspapers nationwide) wrote a story about Barack Obama's vice presidential pick that sounded more like right-wing FOX than an unbiased news organization. [...]

This isn't an isolated incident for the AP reporter who wrote this story, Ron Fournier--who was recently appointed as the AP's Washington, D.C. Bureau Chief. Media watchdog group Media Matters wrote a report showing that Fournier's presidential coverage has consistently smeared Democrats and favored John McCain.2

Can you email AP reporter Ron Fournier and CC his boss, Managing Editor Mike Oreskes? Tell them that the public's faith in the 160-year-old AP will be gone if Ron Fournier is allowed to continue his slanted articles against Democrats and for McCain.

The posting cited ultra-left leaning shill Media Matters for America, which as readers know isn't interested in exposing what it believes to be conservative bias in the press, but instead wants to eliminate all right-leaning opinions available in print and across the airwaves.

Of course, why shouldn't MoveOn use MM as a reference given both organization's ties to George Soros?

Oh you whining, stomping

Oh you whining, stomping feet, sniveling little leftists, go cry me a river...

Maybe conservative sites should counter-attack to the AP and thank them for having a rare fair and balanced report...hopefully we can look forward to more of the same in the future.

Excellent!

The lefties at MoveOn say "the public's faith in the 160-year-old AP will be gone if Ron Fournier is allowed to continue his slanted articles against Democrats and for McCain"

If that is true, and given that the right has pretty much given up on AP, then NOBODY will have any more faith in the AP and they will fold up tent and leave town!

Whoo hoo!

Wow. And tney say we

Wow. And they say NewsBusters is overreacting when they document 6,389,543,785 instances of liberal media bias over the course of a year.

And the crowning irony...

... is that Fournier's article wasn't even "right-leaning" or "biased" - it was an honest analysis of the facts.

So now at least we know the rules the left is playing by:

  1. Anything favoring a liberal is "balanced reporting", and
  2. Anything resembling "fair and balanced" is, in fact, "ultra-right-wing bias".

It's good to know what the rules are before we play the game...

Pro liberal stories are a given to them - the very rare honest criticism and analysis of Democrats by the MSM is absolute heresy. These liberal zealots are the new Inquisition.

Well I see Moveon and MM

Well I see Moveon and MM aren't the only critters that have expressed outrage about all of this concerning good ol' Ron and the AP...here is a link to MyDD...scroll on down and you will see FireDogLake's Nedra Pickler and her response and so-called signatures, plus the blog post from MyDD....

What these hypocritical leftists will do to stop free speech is beyond filthy...it is maddening...not satisfied unless their agenda is fulfilled.

Pickler's blog spot/letter has a number in it ect.

Too funny ...

While it is hilarious for MoveOn.org to think that the AP is anything but a liberal organization and mouthpiece, their real problem is that they realize Biden is a lousy choice for Democrats.

Hm, why don't we flood the

Hm, why don't we flood the AP box for every article? Maybe there's a way to have a quick-link to email the NYT, AP, etc?

AP Is Like the ACLU

Just like the ACLU once in a blue moon stands up for the Constitution that slightly falls on the conservative side, the AP once in a blue moon lists the actaul facts on a liberal. They do this just so they can point to an example when they wrote something that didn't make the liberal look great.

Just shows once again

Why I call the media corporate fascist.  Show any bit of integrity and the neo-fascists come unglued.  Even if it's from the last two letters in the word crap.

These mental retards need to know that this is ANALYSIS, something that needs to be done on them for their mental retardation.  It just goes to show that liberalism is, has been and always will be for forever and a day, a mental disorder.
