I've debated whether or not this should be posted.

However, as I've been a fan of Dennis Miller's since his "Weekend Update" days, and the discussion was rather timely, I hope you'll forgive the seemingly shameless self-promotion.

On Friday, I was Dennis's guest on his radio program, and we mostly discussed the extremely delicious hypocrisy inherent in Al Gore receiving a Nobel Peace Prize on the same week a British judge cited nine scientific errors in the Global Warmingist-in-Chief's award-winning schlockumentary (audio available here).

We also talked about media's decision to either not report or bury good news from Iraq.

I hope you enjoy our discussion one-tenth as much as I did.

Noel, as you have been one of the major members of the New Media who have helped to expose the blatant and colossal fraud that is Al Gore, who better than you to go on Miller's show?

I have also been noticing links popping up to your articles in some rather interesting places, such as Boortz.com. I have heard Rush reference your work here at NB many times.

I'd say you are helping the get the word out to the dumbmasses, which is a good thing. Who knows? Your work, along with a handful of others out there, could very well wind up saving us hapless taxpayers untold billions of dollars, not to mention possibly preventing hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of lost jobs, as well as help curb the more tyrannical regulatory tendencies of a government that is currently out of control.

It's funny, Noel & I had chatted about his appearing on Dennis' show last spring.  

I tried to listen to this last nite, but it appears that Dennis has changed his archives from free to subscription.  Oh well.

Interesting fact about Alliance for Climate Protection

Now Al Gore says he is donating the prize money to the Alliance for Climate Protection. What an unselfish act...and pigs have just sprouted wings and are soaring overhead as I type. According to the organization's most recent 990, Al Gore is the CEO of the Alliance for Climate Protection, formerly the Climate Project. <sarcasm>Rather unselfish of him to donate the money to an organization that he runs!</sarcasm>

Not a very efficient 501(c)(3) either. For all the money they spent in 2005, about 55% was spent on salaries. In addition, the 990 does not break down their expenses correctly, so there is no way of knowing where the remaining 45% was spent. It could all be going for programming expenses, administrative or fundraising. I would venture to guess that very little of it is actually being spent on programming expenses.

What does Miller really think

Mr. Sheppard, I would be more interested in the underground buzz Mr. Miller is hearing as to Al Gore. I realize Belzer or Whoopie are not prone to anything intelligent, but Mr. Miller bumps into enough of the players to get a feel for Gore.

Chris Matthews is not going to come out and say, "Hey Miller, I sure hauled the water for Al Gore by using Liz Edwards to advance her husband to help weaken Hillary........and my reward is taking over Brian Williams hot seat on NBC."..........but there is always enough pat your liberal self on the back from these self promoters they will always let slip something they know in their "need to know" quadrant.

That is always the interesting conversation.....not what people say on the air, but what they hint at off the air.

It is pleasing for this site to get exposure, but you are still not a threat..........bloggers here will know you are a threat when we start hearing "rumors about the editors of Newsbusters" and then they will start pulling blogs from here taken out of context to paint this site and the bloggers as racists, homohaters, religious nuts and "dangers to society".

I've been a Dennis Miller fan since his days on SNL, and I'd guess there are many others here too. BTW, with your growing knowledge in meteorology and climatology, should you be given the title of "Weatherman", as well as Senior Editor?

I really didn't like Dennis on SNL back in those days... thought he was just smug and not funny. I adore him now, but not only because of his enlightenment in the political arena, but I think I was too young and dumb to get him back then :p

Your reminding everyone about the terrorist Yasser Arafat winning it previously really puts the Nobel Peace Prize in perspective. Who's next? Interesting conversation, but I have to say I don't find Al Gore's methods to be genius at all. Even a two-year old knows the age old method of stacking the deck for an argument by waiting for something bad to happen and then seizing on that to push your agenda.

Gore using Katrina as a stepping stone to push his views has been done and copied by many others for many different reasons, from bashing the President to selling a negative view of race relations. At best it's low animal cunning, but hardly genius.
