Bozell on Hannity 'Media Mash': Gingrich Claim Was Not Newsworthy
"There was nothing newsworthy" about Marianne Gingrich's latest claims about the dissolution of her marriage to Newt Gingrich, NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell told Fox News host Sean Hannity on his January 20 program.
"We looked at the September 2010 Esquire story on the marriage" and found "there's nothing, let me underscore, nothing in the story last night that wasn't in that interview," Bozell noted during the "Media Mash" segment [MP3 audio here; videofollows page break]
Also discussed on Friday's "Media Mash" segment was how the media have attempted to contort Gingrich's "food stamp president" critique into a cynical use of the "race card," the media's faulty attack line on Romney's tax rate, and Newsweek hitting Obama's conservative critics as "dumb."

So now we are taking a page from the Klinton administration and stating........
Oh, it's old news.
What have we become???
Certainly nothing resembling liberal---

It is like this --- Newt Gingrich's ex-wife said she will destroy his career with one interview. See? ABC said they will hang back with the interview so that voters will know this thing is just hanging out there ready to be dropped at any time. Just wait. Let it burn him for a while that we have this bombshell interview that we will release when we release it. Shut up. He is going down when we are ready to bring him down.
In the meantime. see, after the interview is finally shown. THERE WAS NOTHING IN THERE THAT WOULD DESTROY HIS CAREER. See? See how it works? It was nothing more than a rehash of an interview from nearly a year and a half ago. See? No new information despite the ex claiming there was new information. See?
Not that it was old news, but there was nothing there there when something was claimed to be there there. See?
Classic

This "story" was nothing more than the failing, leftist media throwing sh*t against the wall and seeing if it would stick. Unfortunately, it blew up in their face when Newt took John King head-on in the debate.
They are pathetic and I hate the left-wing media in this country.
We need more conservatives to take the media out behind the shed like this. If it doesn't force them to be a little more equitable to us, it will at least discredit them in the eyes of an increasing number of voters.
Apparently

The yellow "gotcha" journalism of ABC has back-fired on them. It was a close race between Mitt and Newt until that "interview" aired and was played over and over by every other news outlet. This apparently pissed off quite a number of people, especially in South Carolina where it was quite obvious that ABC was attempting to directly influence the outcome of a primary election by manufacturing a scandal where none existed.
Maybe for Florida, NBC or CBS or CNN can gin up an interview with Newt's first wife?
Madison and Jefferson and Franklin built a Republic - Roberts killed it!

ABC did not manufacture anything. The Newter former wife merely stated that he lacked character in how he dealt with her. I believe she didn't care for his preaching family values in public but whoring around in private. ABC merely reported a fact. Is it false that the Newter whored around on his wives?
C'mon, buddyc, give us the---

He is a disgrace to republicans everywhere and if elected has no clue and no leadership ability to get us out of the mess we are in. When Obama was elected it was because the public was prepared to elect ANYONE but someone associated with W. In 2008 the democrats failed in their responsibility to nominate a qualified leader. I fear republicans are about to do the same thing.
Why don't you just create a forum subject and

So, my personal question would be, if you hate Newt???
Submitted by acaiguana on Mon, 01/23/2012 - 9:09pm.
Why would that be?
Is it that he had problems standing against the Establishment Republicans when he was Speaker?
Or was it when he was absolved about his 'ethics' violations?
Or was it when he was 'thrown out' by a buncha so-called revolutionaries who could simply not see the path he laid out?
Or was it when he set the MSM straight?
What in the world do you not like about Newt that the MSM didn't create during his tenure as Speaker?
I'd guess, not much. You haven't get a point. Make a point, Mr. Establishment!
Newt can beat Obama. Let it go.

Why didn't the LSM (in this case the LA Times) release a video they have of President Downgrade praising a spokesman for the PLO when it was designated a terror group by the US?
This scum is more than happy to do what they can to bring down any threat to Odumbo.
It was said before, Journalism died in 2008, I hope to see the LSM buried in 2012.
Why is it not "newsworthy"?
Submitted by buddyc on Mon, 01/23/2012 - 6:02pm.
Why is it not "newsworthy"? Who made you the judge of what is newsworthy and what isn't?
Character matters. Glen Beck has been very successful in generating interest in voting for people with better character. I can't think of someone who is a better of example of having poor character than the Newter.
He lacks character in his lobbying activities, he has treated his wives poorly and he treated his fellow congressmen poorly. Where has he given evidence of having good character? Where?
The issue is whether character is more important than the economic issues we are facing. I believe it is equally as important.
Did the Pope die and Newt threw his hat in?

I'm all for treating the majority of congressmen poorly.
As I said before, why don't you just vote for Obama and be done with it, because that's what you're advocating.
Whatever paultard.

It is the paultard way. They can't push the crazy crank Ron Paul or any of his crazy crank policies without being roundly mocked so the only way forward is to viciously attack the other candidates.
Either that or this guy is truly insane. e has been told to knock it of with the constant insults from an anonymous moniker without a real name and real history and continues on anyway.
