Somehow...
September 26, 2008 - 18:12 ET by aeroveloToday John McCain went to Washington to help push the "bailout" plan through. Now, according to Reed, McCain didnt say much, but somehow he managed to derail the whole thing...he just ruined it.
What ever could McCain have said or done that destroyed the whole plan?
As I understand it, there was no agreement on any plan either before or after McCain came in and "wrecked" everything. Supposedly the meeting with the president, Obama and McCain was mostly Obama speaking and apparently it degraded into a bit of yelling and screaming and the result was, Obama floundered around as he was unaware of the details and couldnt hold the meeting together for lack of information and leadership.
The Dems spent the rest of the day making McCain looking like the one factor that destroyed the plan as a means of covering up Obama's failure to lead the meeting. Obama even broke into Brit Hume on Fox to make his little statement about being better able to work over the phone (with handlers whispering in his other ear).
The Senators are getting 10:1 calls opposed to this plan and the dems are hesitant to push anything through without Republican signatures so theyre not entirely on the hook alone. The Dems are in the majority, they dont need substantial Republican support to push any plan through.
The moral of the story, if you see the Dems lips moving, they are lying. Hopefully tonite McCain can explain what happend, if not the downstream media will play it out as Dem talking points specify and make Obama look like the savior of the free world while making McCain look like a senile, grumpy old man....pathetic!

To McCain: Senator, you dropped what you were doing, went to Washington D.C., and tried to actually do something to try to straighten out this financial mess. Can you explain whether this shows America how you will act as President?
To Obama: Senator, you kept on with your campaign, made some phone calls, gave some speeches, and only went to Washington, D.C. to attend Thursday's meeting when asked to do so. Can you explain whether this shows America how you will act as President?

Obama and his teleprompter
September 26, 2008 - 17:55 ET by ConLosRepublicanosNoWhenever Obama is without a teleprompter he struggles, I
expect the same this time around. Also voters like direct answers, Obama
doesn't know how give a direct answer. Hillary is not the best debater and she
beat Obama in 22 of the 22 debates they had. McCain can give a direct answer,
just like Bush did in 2000 to beat Gore, I expect the same strategy. Am more interested
in the Palin-Biden debate, I expect Palin to surprise a lot of people and put
to rest all the bs she has been getting from reporters and CNN, the most hated

Childishness?
September 26, 2008 - 20:56 ET by Mike BrattonChildishness is Obama pretending President Bush is his opposition, rather than Sen. McCain.
Childishness is Obama refusing to answer questions, steering wildly back to his handful of talking points, repeatedly mugging for the camera while Sen. McCain is speaking, then repeatedly interrupting him.
Obama is, for now, having his hat handed to him, though I concur in wishing Sen. McCain would give him a plebe-style dressing down. I do know that driving to Oxford for the debate would've been a bad idea, because I wouldn't have been able to keep my mouth closed.
