Agreed, the truth MUST be brought to light of how this all came about.

Since the debate is about foreign policy can we get someone to ask Obama how come it took him a few tries to come to the same conclusion as Sen. McCain about Russia invading Georgia?

Today John McCain went to Washington to help push the "bailout" plan through. Now, according to Reed, McCain didnt say much, but somehow he managed to derail the whole thing...he just ruined it.

What ever could McCain have said or done that destroyed the whole plan?

As I understand it, there was no agreement on any plan either before or after McCain came in and "wrecked" everything. Supposedly the meeting with the president, Obama and McCain was mostly Obama speaking and apparently it degraded into a bit of yelling and screaming and the result was, Obama floundered around as he was unaware of the details and couldnt hold the meeting together for lack of information and leadership.

The Dems spent the rest of the day making McCain looking like the one factor that destroyed the plan as a means of covering up Obama's failure to lead the meeting. Obama even broke into Brit Hume on Fox to make his little statement about being better able to work over the phone (with handlers whispering in his other ear).

The Senators are getting 10:1 calls opposed to this plan and the dems are hesitant to push anything through without Republican signatures so theyre not entirely on the hook alone. The Dems are in the majority, they dont need substantial Republican support to push any plan through.

The moral of the story, if you see the Dems lips moving, they are lying. Hopefully tonite McCain can explain what happend, if not the downstream media will play it out as Dem talking points specify and make Obama look like the savior of the free world while making McCain look like a senile, grumpy old man....pathetic!

I am going to forgive McCain for his first 20 minutes or so...I am so tickled with what he has done tonight...I cannot wait to hear the talking heads spin this...which they will...already have the same old talking point word or phrase in the hopper...I know what to expect...but it is not going to work with us Americans out here...same as the bail-out..we see it for what it is..

Childishness is Obama pretending President Bush is his opposition, rather than Sen. McCain.

Childishness is Obama refusing to answer questions, steering wildly back to his handful of talking points, repeatedly mugging for the camera while Sen. McCain is speaking, then repeatedly interrupting him.

Obama is, for now, having his hat handed to him, though I concur in wishing Sen. McCain would give him a plebe-style dressing down.  I do know that driving to Oxford for the debate would've been a bad idea, because I wouldn't have been able to keep my mouth closed.

I'm no Obama supporter but thats been a Democratic presidential talking point for the whole campaign that Afghanistan was the 'right' war and Iraq was a bad idea.  Its kind of extraordinary in how the way far left is anti-war in all circumstances but thats where both Obama and Hillary have been the whole campaign.
