MSNBC On Woman Fainting During Clinton Speech: 'He's Still Got It'

By Matt Hadro | October 12, 2010 | 14:31

A  A
Reporting that an elderly woman fainted at a West Virginia campaign appearance by former President Clinton, MSNBC ran the provocative headline "He's Still Got It," on its 10 a.m. EDT news hour. We'll leave it to the reader to guess what exactly MSNBC was getting at.

President Clinton was giving a stump speech Monday for West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin, the state's Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate.

"One audience member was just a little overwhelmed,"  MSNBC anchor Chris Jansing remarked, as a video clip then showed Clinton pausing his speech to recognize an elderly woman in the front who had fainted. "Maybe if you're a Democrat, you'll think this is awesome," Jansing commented.

The woman had received medical attention and was being escorted away by a doctor and two security guards. "And I'm going to save her reputation. It was the sun and not me that made her faint," Clinton joked as she was escorted from the premises.

"Such a good line," remarked a beaming Jansing, who glowingly referred to Clinton as "the comeback kid."

Its true he really does still have it

Submitted by shawn. on Tue, 10/12/2010 - 2:43pm.

No matter how many people on this site slam Bill Clinton, he is still perceived as a rock star by many.

The thing is Clinton is the only home run hitter on his team and he is getting older and nobody wants to be even seen with Obama these days

Sarah Palin is still quite young and same with Glen Beck.  Rush Limbaugh can still bring out a huge crowd and same goes with Michelle Bachman.

Are you seriously suggesting that Clinton still "has" what it takes to make women swoon?

<barf>

I saw that on Drudge this AM and thought Why the H is this NEWS??

A woman faints in a crowd in the sun....big fat hairy deal.

Would they have written a story that said "Woman vomits at Clinton speech"?  or :"Woman breaks ankle at Clinton speech"?  Of course not.

The implication is that she was overcome at the nearness of the ex-Prez.

And, of course, Clinton's comment that "it's the sun, not me" is meant to convey the opposite, even though it's true.

Did you even think that maybe the woman had a cardiac arrest?

Real good time to make jokes about an elderly woman fainting.  Dumbasses are always thinking they are something special.

Does Clinton still have it?

Submitted by no tingly legs on Tue, 10/12/2010 - 3:41pm.

Dunno. Perhaps ask Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey or any of the other as yet unrevealed women he's accosted. In the past, you probably could have consulted Arkansas State Troopers who recruited women for him. Who knows who he's using nowadays. I suppose true sex addicts and sex predators, just as with pedophiles, always "have it". Nothing to be proud of.
