Schultz Slams Fiorina's Liquor Shot—How About Hillary's?

By Mark Finkelstein | October 11, 2010 | 21:25

A  A

When is it OK for a politician to slam a shot to show she's a regular gal? Easy: when she's a Dem.  If she's a Republican?  Well, that's a shot of entirely different sort. She's a wasted drunk.

Just ask Ed Schultz.  On his show this evening, the MSNBCer took Carly Fiorina to task for taking a shot of tequila on the campaign trail.  Schultz slammed the California Republican senatorial candidate as "drunken" and "wasted."

Does Ed remember when during the 2008 primary campaign Hillary, seeking to show she was a woman [of the bitter-clinging] people, threw one back in an Indiana bar? Apparently not.

View the two videos and consider Schultz's egregious double standard.

Double standard? I think not

Submitted by QMCS on Mon, 10/11/2010 - 9:39pm.

This is the same standard Ed and the MSMers use against all republican candidates, If a Dem does than its ok, If a Rep does it then they are evil, drunk, capitalistic pigs...or racists.

Dear Prez, the village called, they want their idiot back.

Ed, us Texans remember Ann Richards...

...the patroness of gin, tequila and anything else over 100 proof!  The idiotic things that came out of that hack's mouth were 50% stupidity or 50% alcohol.  Texas had a bad hangover until W. was elected and Boozy Richards was out on her incompetent butt........

And we have a Democrat

Submitted by Dan The Man 2 on Mon, 10/11/2010 - 11:39pm.

And we have a Democrat waiting the wings named Bill White.  I am scared stiff that White will be governor.  I was cruising down many rural East Texas roads this last week an there were frightenly a multitude of Bill White signs and not many Perry signs.  I pray this is not a sign of the future for Texas.

Submitted by Martin2717 on Mon, 10/11/2010 - 11:54pm.

I see a lot of Bill White signs around my neighborhood, too. I think I saw a recent poll that says Perry is up by about 9. In the end, he should win.

You won't see Ed.

Submitted by Texndoc on Mon, 10/11/2010 - 10:50pm.

You won't see Ed anywhere on election night.  Believe me, the bosses at MSNBC keep Ed and Luke Russert both out of prime-time.  In fact, keeping Sgt. Shultz out of their "new" promotional pieces and out of any prime time line up is what I thought caused him to go ballistic and to be called into the offices to be told he was being fired (he cried his way out of it said sources).

As embarrassing as it is to see Luke Russert stumble through a story, it still does not compare with "Politico's Mike Allan" who I look forward to on Morning Joe.  He shakes and spits and stumbles and bumbles and bounces up and down and he has no upper lip and his eyes pop out.  I love it and end up literally laughing out loud.

SPECIAL ED...

Submitted by danybhoy on Tue, 10/12/2010 - 12:58am.

There are stories about him getting into altercations in bars or pubs, even to the point of physical contact if you believe what is out there about him. With his temper & what we actually know, I tend to believe the stories. Many of them from folks around Fargo & Grand Forks.

RE SPECIAL ED...

Submitted by danybhoy on Tue, 10/12/2010 - 1:31am.

He gets pissed when you bring up the dog. His reaction tells me he did do that.

As for wife beater accusation, at this North Dakota public records website...

http://publicsearch.ndcourts.gov/default.aspx

...click for "Cass County" & click "Civil, Family, & Probate Case Records", that will take you to the info page.  In the "Party Information" box, punch in the name "Maureen Zimmerman" into the correct boxes, then click "Submit". A results page pops up, & then you see the case records info. You will see a link for case # 09-93-C-00131, click that & the court record pops up. Go down to Doc ID# 71, 72, & 77. Example, 71   involves a "DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROTECTION ORDER", it does'nt say if Ed did or did not physically abuse Zimmerman, but the fact that an order like this was taken out in the first place tells me everything I need to know about Ed's character. Or lack of it in this case. Judging from what have seen from Ed as a broadcaster, & several incedents I have read about, & from the court document, I suspect he did abuse his ex-wife. I feel this guy is a dirtbag, & I think MSNBC/NBCnews is looking for any reason to dump him like CNN did with Sanchez. I gotta believe he'll be gone soon.

Thank you and drunkeness...I knew nothing about this regarding Special Ed...truly fits that POS to a tee.

They may fire him, someone else of his ilk will be waiting in the wings, unless they've been hit over the head enough with that clue-bat... and what little was left of the brain matter sunk in...but I doubt it.

What I did not mention is that both Ed & his ex worked on air at WDAY-TV news in Fargo. This was'nt a secret up there. While I'm at it, goole "Ed Schultz whiskey bottle incident". You will see his lack of judgement on display there as well.

Thank Me!

It's going to be a great night of television on these lefty channels.  Olbermann, Matthews and the Sarge all bundled up crying and hugging each other as the reps/conservatives taking back control.

If that's the best they can do against Fiorina then I'm definitely voting for her.

Too bad I can't post photos cuz I have a library of images on my computer of Obama and Hillary Clinton chugging their booze.
