Media Mash: Despite MSM Slamming 'Cut, Cap and Balance,' 66% of Americans Want It
While the media have been busy persistently denouncing the Cut, Cap and Balance plan as Republicans "wasting time" with a "show" plan that has "no chance of passage," the public aren't accepting the media spin.
A CNN poll shows nearly 2/3rds of Americans favor that approach to tackling the national debt and balancing the budget, NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell noted on the July 21 "Hannity" program (video follows page break):
Let me show you something. On the CNN poll, one thing no one at CNN is mentioning, is that question #23: Do you want Cut, Cap and Balance? Sixty-six percent of the American people want it. Question #25: Do you want a balanced budget amendment? Seventy-four percent! This is CNN's own poll and they're not reporting it tonight.
Bozell was on the program for the recurring "Media Mash" segment that examines the preceding week's worst of media bias.

To me it seems the liberal
Submitted by Beukeboom on Fri, 07/22/2011 - 10:48am.
To me it seems the liberal MSM has abandoned their normal role of reporting the news and have chosen to be the self-made definitive arbiters of what the American public should want and should reject. Normally such was limited to the op-ed pages where it was made clear it was opinion only. Now the lib MSM brazenly puts it in what passes for "news" reporting. I don't know when that line was crossed, but the lib MSM is certainly deep into territory where they do not belong nor are wanted.
CNN, we report what we want you to know.

I think the line was crossed when President Bush won his first term in the 2000, Gore v Bush race.
After that it was 8 years of Bush hating followed by the last 2 or 3 years of Obama kissing.

Why? Because you say so? Prove it.
What is it about your opinion that elevates it to the level of truth or "fact."
Sorry but you'll have to do better than just claiming it's true because you believe it to be true. And before you deflect and turn the argument around on me, note that I never stated I am right and you are wrong; I simply pointed out that your statement didn't necessarily "prove" what you were claiming.
Now backpedal and amend your "but not in this case" statement to add, "IN MY OPINION."

Still just OPINIONS

I asked you what made your opinion rise to the level of fact since you stated it as such. You answer by directing me to more opinions, from other people. Still doesn't make it a fact.
I have tried to remain neutral regarding the numerous calls here to ban you as a troll. I won't join in on those calls, but I am done with you. I can understand why those calls go out, though. Someone asks you a direct question and you just never seem able to answer it directly. A simple Yes/No question posed to you is met with equivocation, deflection and attempted misdirection.
Respond to this if you will. I'll likely even read your response. But no longer shall I reply to you. As stated above, I'm done with you.

You have this offputting habit of making these sweepingly authoritative 'carved-in-stone' pronouncements as if they were established fact and settled law subject to neither reasoned dispute nor reasonable debate.
That's what I mean when I say you are "wrong", not that your argument is utterly devoid of merit--there is indeed a FF & C issue, although the clause must also be viewed in the context of clearly recognized qualifications and limitations--but because of your absolute insistence there is no other possible interpretation or outcome.
The sissy troll takes arguments that are based on the thinnest of reeds and brings them here as though they are established fact.

When the ratio in a poll is 2 out of 3, it usually means that out of three people, the Republican and the Independent were against the Democrat on the issue. This is almost always the case.
You might have a right to, but you have no business voting on how to spend other people's money if you do not pay federal income tax. Do the decent thing and just don't go to the polls.
