Lib Talker Malloy Oozes Hatred Against Michael Reagan, Mocks Fact He Was Adopted

Hate-filled left-wing talker Mike Malloy was at it again last night (see our full archive on him here), hurling hateful invective against conservative talk radio host and author Michael Reagan.

The occasion? Malloy took perverse delight in 31-year-old Reagan son Cameron's recent arrest by Los Angeles police. The incident, Malloy declared, was sure fire proof of how "these right-wingers so pollute and destroy their own families."

Of course, Malloy had no evidence to back his claim, and even though he's never met the man nor does he "ever want to," Malloy lashed out at Michael Reagan as "an absolute ghoul" and "sick bastard."

But perhaps the most astonishing part of his screed is that Malloy was not just content to bash Reagan personally and politically, but that in doing so he threw in a gratuitous and mean-spirited attack on the institution of adoption (emphasis Malloy's):

Speaking of the right wing, did you hear about Michael Reagan, the adopted son of former President Ronald Reagan and his wife Jane Wyman?

I say adopted son because Michael Reagan likes to claim kinship with Ronald Reagan to further his own tacky career, but it usually doesn't work - I think most real conservatives understand that Michael Reagan is only there by virtue of the fact that Ronald Reagan and his first wife, Jane Wyman, adopted him. That's the only reason he could make that claim.

It's one thing to rant against Michael Reagan -- who a few years back penned a book about his adoption and Christian faith called "Twice Adopted" -- it's a whole new low for Malloy to make a statement that is bound to be hurtful to listeners, regardless of their ideology, who were raised by adoptive parents and lovingly recall their nurture.

In the midst of bashing Reagan as a family values phony, Malloy does nothing more than trash adoption, an institution which people across the political spectrum can agree is the very embodiment of family values.

Shame on Malloy, that is, if he is capable of feeling shame.

The full transcript is included below (emphasis mine unless otherwise noted):

MIKE MALLOY:  Speaking of the right wing, did you hear about Michael Reagan, the adopted son [emphasis Malloy's] of former President Ronald Reagan and his wife Jane Wyman?

I say adopted son because Michael Reagan likes to claim kinship with Ronald Reagan to further his own tacky career, but it usually doesn't work - I think most real conservatives understand that Michael Reagan is only there by virtue of the fact that Ronald Reagan and his first wife, Jane Wyman, adopted him. That's the only reason he could make that claim.

But Michael Reagan, who has said some things on his radio show that are just outrageous - I mean, really, really disgusting stuff; violence and ugliness and hatred and blowing up Muslim babies - and just, I mean, insane stuff.

Well, his own son, Cameron Reagan, who's 31, was in jail in L.A. this morning after police arrested him at Michael Reagan's house in Van Nuys, outside of Los Angeles. He was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, and apparently he was very drunk on his ass when people got there.

Michael Reagan said that he didn't know he had tripped an alarm when he arrived home with friends early in the morning, about one o'clock in the morning. When Cameron, that's the 31-year-old's name, heard a commotion outside, he went outside and found the house surrounded by police.

Now Michael Reagan, the great family values freak, he doesn't live there,  I don't know who lives there. Michael Reagan is just an absolute ghoul. I've never met him, don't ever want to. Uh, you contrast Michael Reagan with Ron Reagan. Ron Reagan, who is really a decent guy. Michael Reagan, who is an absolute monster!

Well, here's another example of how these right-wingers so pollute and destroy their own families. Cameron Reagan, Michael Reagan's 31-year-old son, busted by L.A. police for all kinds of bad stuff,  he was drinking, very uncooperative, according to an LAPD officer, uh, arrested on suspicion of arrest [sic], resisting arrest, and was held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

I'm sure by now this sick bastard Michael Reagan has probably posted the bond for him.
