I understand the media coverage, his policies and everything else relating to Barack Obama has been repulsive but good Lord, his grandmother has just passed away. Regardless of political affiliation, show some class in not kicking a guy when he's down...will i vote for Obama because his grandma died? No. Would I have voted for him anyways? Hell no. Just show some class...

I have to admit I had similar wild thoughts about what happened to Mrs. Dunham, but I rejected them immediately.  I don't want to be a conservative version of the Daily Kos whack jobs.

Unless we hear evidence to the contrary, don't blame Mrs. Dunham for the way her grandson turned out.  Barack had an incredibly disfunctional childhood.  Unfortunately he doesn't seem to have had many good influences, nor has he made good choices.  Of course, he is responsible for his words and actions.

It never ceases to amaze me how the "family values" brigade has no sympathy or respect for someone who's been through the loss of a family member, regardless of their politics. Aren't we supposed to put partisan politics aside in the face of human tragedy? Isn't that what religious faith and church are all about?

Look, Obama doesn't need for his grandmother to die for him to be the favored candidate to win. This country, and the world, are obsessed with him. Just check out his ratings on a href="http://www.perspctv.com">http://www.perspctv.com</a> which tracks not only voter polls but also media and public interest by measuring how many mentions each candidate's name is getting in the press and in the blogosphere. Needless to say, Obama was hardly suffering for lack of attention long before his grandmother died. Do you really believe he needs to pull a stunt of that sort? That's what he's made his name on throughout this sordid, bloody campaign--someone who stands for common a human decency, one that rises above partisan politics. Something that is a true rarity today, and which sets him above the rest.

I'm glad he was able to see her last week, but I wonder if he had the desire or opportunity to tell her he was sorry he called her "a typical white person."

Seems funny how Michelle and the girls have stayed out of the grandma visits...but then again, there are so many 'funny' instances in this man's life, they are more normal than odd.

Obviously there was room on the plane, but I'll assume that Obama wanted his daughters to remember their great-grandmother as she was when they last met, and not in her frail condition.

I was reading this week's issue and I have simply taken to turning the pages - his article on how Obama will preside...no mention of how McCain will preside...turn that page real quick!!!

How I hope that we will have cover pictures next week of all the news magazine editorial staff and writers sitting around a table eating CROW!  With a teeny-tiny headline on the bottom of the cover stating that John McCain and Sarah Palin WON!  Followed by 10-page stories of how Barack should have won!!

So that's what he was doing while pulling himself up from the streets of Hawaii!

OK, Yahoo said that she died of Cancer. Now that said. I seem to recall that the Dems & Media were whining that McCain and Palin had to make their medical records public. Apparantly, all that was required of Obama was a 1 page letter from his doctor saying that he's OK.

Add to that, the Left and Media's constant drumbeat of how McCain is so old that he's about to kick the bucket ( age 72 ) and that Palin isn't ready to take over; never mind that just about everyone in McCain's family lives well into their 90's.

Knowing that. Here's more food for thought. Obama's mother died of cancer ( age 54 ). Obama's grandmother died of cancer ( age 86 ). His grandfather died at the age of 74. His father died at the age of . . .what 46?

Obama was a smoker, and not only does cancer run in the family, but so does early death. Will the media note this? or will they continue to harp that McCain is on his last legs.

I'm moving on, so will everyone else....even the left...this isn't going to change a vote one way or the other...nada.

I'm really uneasy about all of this.  Real uneasy and have huge mixed emotions. 

If we could go back in time when Hitler's, Stalin's, Mao's mother/grandmother died would we mourn them and send our condolenses or wish that they'd never given birth to this vermin.  History would have been completely changed by an ox cart running over one of these people's parents/grandparents.  I'm not saying I'm glad the poor lady is dead..certainly not...however, why on earth besides trying to take the moral high road do we have to give our condolenses.  Did we give our condolenses to Saddam when his sons where shot to death?  I don't think so. You might say - well, that was different, they were evil little bastards who deserved what they got.  True, yet what if they would have died at let's say the age of 16.  Sad maybe, but it would have saved the world a lot of hurt if that would have happened. 

I reckon we will have to go through a lot of pain first then make our wishes but by then it will be too late.

 Like I said..mixed emotions.  I feel bad about what I just wrote but I'll get over it.  I just hope that we aren't all feeling real bad on Nov. 5th.

And you get a chance to vote like everybody else. As soon as there are more people like you and less like the producers then we will become the socialist Europe you want to be.

You call that "crucifying'?  Hey even your press threw out McCain under the bus once it became clearer about the choices they have to make about whom to tout in the election.  It became clearer each day that the media liked your guy and separated itself from the old man.  Get your facts straight...and no I am not a neo-con.  I am just plain conservative and you sir, are nothing more than a troll.
