Leave it to liberals to pile on Sen. John McCain with cheap shots about his age, and we're not talking making jokes about him serving in the Civil War or what not. Mocking John McCain's age, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann imagined that the senator could easily segue from talking about foreign policy or the economy to talking about "buying more Depends or something like that." (h/t Conservative Punk)
"You can dissassociate yourself from that remark if you wish," Olbermann immediately added in his exchange with Rachel Maddow of the liberal Air America radio network.
Yesterday NewsBusters noted a liberal blogger who took a cheap shot at McCain's false teeth. McCain's teeth were bashed out by North Vietnamese tormentors during his time as a POW.

They don't call Keith "Bathtub Boy" for nothing.
March 27, 2008 - 15:18 ET by kgThey don't call Keith the "Bathtub Boy" for nothing.
I agree about boycotting his sponsers.
"Forget change, I want improvement!"
Of course.
March 27, 2008 - 15:40 ET by Missouri ConservativeBathtub Boy doesn't leave the friendly confines of Seacacus, NJ. Whenever there is "reporting" on his show, it's just recycled stock footage from NBC with Keef doing his lame commenting.

No More Secaucus
March 28, 2008 - 07:51 ET by allanfIn a cost saving move, NBC closed its Secaucus studios. Broadcasts now originate from NBC's Rockefeller Center studios. Perhaps the Secaucus studios would still be open if Keith had higher ratings.
Isn't Rachel Maddow that air
March 27, 2008 - 15:11 ET by RESTLESS 1Isn't Rachel Maddow that air america dude whose only claim to fame is his sexuality?
Oh, and I refer to keith as keith olber. There is no form of "man" associated with this loser.
My problem with Olberjerk's comment
March 27, 2008 - 15:24 ET by Jack BauerMy problem with Olberjerk's comment is that it is so damn UNORIGINAL -- and it wasn't THAT funny first time around... a while back.
In fact, it's a comedy rule that incontinence jokes are hardly ever hilarious.
But then as others have pointed out, the short-changed in the Weiner department (allegedly) one reads his scripts straight off the email from David Brock and Media Matters.
And boy, those guys sure know shit.
Hey that's the first time Brock and straight have appeared in the same sentence for a long time.
And as many people have pointed out, you wanna make fun of a guy's teeth when, the reason he hasn't got any, is because they were SMASHED IN by a commie swine..
Go ahead...
Make McCain's day.
If McCain makes another hideous speech like he did yesterday...

Hi RD... I just consider
March 27, 2008 - 16:49 ET by bigtimerHi RD...
I just consider the source when it comes to Ubermann....and Maddow for that matter.
As far as the cute RINO long speech and the question and answer period...it was pathetic..especially when he got to global warming, oil and the terrorists and illegal immigration...same ol' same ol'...
I still haven't heard it all...but enough to know I am still angry...I can't believe this is who we have left to vote for.
Yes, I know all about his POW status and his service, he is appreciated for that....still doesn't qualify him to be President and I won't vote for him either....
Btw...this is nothing when the other leftists start in on McCain, he is just getting a free ride for now...until the dems get done destroying each other and their party...which is amusing.
As an aside...redlasso is freezing up this site on my end here...anyway it was earlier, for about an hour.

Hi, bt,
March 27, 2008 - 17:31 ET by R D HelmOlbermann is a first-rate dufus. It blows my mind that any rational person would take him even remotely seriously about anything.
Normally his mindless pronouncements make by blood boil, but not this time. Actually, I thought it was almost funny, except I have heard it somewhere before.
I know many here will disagree, but I think McCain's age will be an issue, and it won't be just the MSM and dorks like Olbermann pointing it out, either, but a lot of conservatives.
Having watched him get confused on several occasions in the republican debates, as well as seeing Joe Lieberman whispering in his ear the other day (and I don't care how it was played by the MSM or the conservative blogosphere, it didn't look good), I think the man is in for a very rough time, no matter if its Obama, Hillary or even Gore he will eventually be up against.
As far as that speech goes, particularly in the area of the war against the Islamo-supremecists, it is clear to me that he just doesn't get it. Not even close.
It's like I told someone here yesterday, at least Hillary has PMS going for her.
What is worse still, once the convention has come and gone, the MSM is going to really start going after him far more aggressively than they have so far. I'm not sure McCain is up for adequately deflecting what we all know is coming.
It is most distressing that a country like this, which has produced some of the world's greatest minds, and has accomplished more than any other nation in history, can only come up with three vengeful duds for the highest office in the land.
Hillary is looking to take her rage out on the whole country. Obama wants to get back at all who reflect more light than he. McCain, who was selected for us by the liberal MSM and dem cross-overs, is just itching to stick even more daggers into the backs of us conservatives.
At this point, I'm just praying that McCain somehow manages to implode before the convention. While there is still time to correct this lunacy.

Apparently Olbermann doesn't read NB
March 27, 2008 - 15:24 ET by candanceWe were informed from a very reliable source that the left in America would not be launching hit pieces against McCain.
Someone needs to clue Keith in that McCain's age has already been discussed.
candance,

Republicans
March 28, 2008 - 08:00 ET by allanfKeith must be a Republican. According to Paul Waldman it is the conservatives who are hate based and will run a dirty campaign.
Perhaps these Democrats ascribe to Republicans what they see in themselves?
I saw this comment
March 27, 2008 - 15:37 ET by marpelI saw this comment yesterday, and I was hoping someone would mention it today. Olbermann may think he's a man, but he's nothing but a gutless worm. I bet he'd scream like a little girl if McCain was after him to kick his ass. I bet he runs like a girl too...
POS OLBERMANN
March 27, 2008 - 16:36 ET by DRM 23Olbermann should wrap a depends around his head, to catch all the crap that will probably leak out of his ears.

Olbermann should apologize

Sometimes I like Keith
March 28, 2008 - 02:50 ET by Cureboy675Sometimes I like Keith Olbermann. He can say things sometimes that are genuinely funny. But Depends jokes about John McCain. That's pretty lame. And this obsession he has with Bill O'Reilly kind of scares me sometimes.
