Everyone is a whore according to "View" panelist Joy Behar. Discussing the identity of Governor Eliot Spitzer’s call girl, Ashley Alexandra Dupre, Behar appeared sympathetic and portrayed the woman as a victim. Later in the show, in conversing about former "American Idol" contestant David Hernandez’s alleged background as a stripper, Behar hypothesized that "everybody is a whore, a little bit."
Crackpot theories are not new to daytime personality. Behar previously suggested that the saints of the past would be mental patients today. Joy Behar continued that "every time you say ‘yes’ when you want to say ‘no,’ you’re whoring yourself." Whoopi Goldberg opined "it depends what you think whoring is. You know, what’s whoring to one person is not whoring to another."
The transcript is below.
WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Isn’t it that what really all of this is about? It comes down again to morality. Did he need to be a male stripper? He might have.
ELISABETH HASSELBECK: Maybe.
GOLDBERG: Did, you know, does this girl need to be a working girl? Maybe.
BARBARA WALTERS: You know, there are night clubs all across America in which guys strip. We’ve had, by the way, we’ve had guys stripping not down to the- we’ve had them stripping on this show.
GOLDBERG: That’s the point I’m making.
JOY BEHAR: So the conclusion, the conclusion we’ve come to is everybody is a whore, a little bit, a little bit.
WALTERS: "What’s your price?" is what you’re saying.
BEHAR: Everybody whores themselves just a little bit, every time you say "yes" when you want to say "no," you’re whoring yourself.
GOLDBERG: Well, it depends on what you think whoring is. You know, what’s whoring to one person is not whoring to another.
BEHAR: Well, that’s the point.
GOLDBERG: And there’s the, there’s the bottom line. That’s the bottom line.

Jay, Laura Ingraham was on
Thu, 03/13/2008 - 13:49 ET by Chris NormanJay, Laura Ingraham was on Bill O'Reilly last night. He was indignant when she suggested that cable news shows, like his, were partly responsible for the decline in public morality, because they focused in on the salacious details of these scandals. He protested that his coverage wasn't gratuitous. A few minutes before, in the promo for his segment on "high class call girl rings" there were close up video clips of women rolling their stockings down, etc. His hypocricy cracks me up. No one, but no one, exploits sex stories under the cover of "news, like The Factor. Typical O'Reilly: "In the close-up segment tonight, teenage girls gone wild. Isn't this terrible? (While clips of half clothed girls drinking and dancing play). Let's see that clip again..."

Thu, 03/13/2008 - 13:57 ET by marpelChris, I agree. There's something skeevey about O'Reilly reporting on anything sexual. I was listening to Laura Ingraham's radio show this a.m., and she reiterated what she said on The Factor last night. Hope you saw the ex-prostitute on the show also. She was a regular Rocke Scientist.
O'Reilly's little adventure
Thu, 03/13/2008 - 18:07 ET by celator"There's something skeevey about O'Reilly reporting on anything sexual."
Yes, there is. I seem to remember O'Reilly's little sexual adventure with his then producer 2 or 3 years ago. I forget all the details, but basically she accused him of sexual harassment, phone calls, fantasy talk etc. All of a sudden it all went away. Like, instantly. As I remember, she had him on tape saying all these things.
So, yes, skeevey would be the right word here. ;+}

marpel & BT, It's no wonder
Thu, 03/13/2008 - 14:14 ET by Chris Normanmarpel & BT,
It's no wonder he and Geraldo get along so well, despite their differences on illegal immigration, etc. There's a strong whiff of tabloidism (not to mention egotism) about both of them.
I'm also getting annoyed by the "Dhue Point" segments on O'Reilly. Laurie Dhue reads the criticism, he completely rejects it, she agrees with him, and they move on to the next item. It's like a bad joke.
Chris...Yeah the Dhue Point
Thu, 03/13/2008 - 14:14 ET by bigtimerChris...Yeah the Dhue Point is a waste of time, although I think it is a waste of her talents to just have her do this segment, from what I have seen over the years she is or can be a great reporter....even from her start on msnbc.
As to BOR...he reminds me of Dobb's, they are both Populist's, so I think I have heard BOR say quite a few times anyway...they have a lot of the same view points...which I agree very few with.
bt,You're right about
Thu, 03/13/2008 - 14:26 ET by Chris Normanbt,
You're right about Laurie Dhue. I think she's all right, but these segments with O'Reilly demean her. The shame about O'Reilly's show is: I like his format - I like his topics - I like many of his guests - I just don't like him very much - or many of his populist views. I'm also getting tired hearing him refer to us as "The Folks"...
Laurie Dhue is only there to
Thu, 03/13/2008 - 14:29 ET by marpelLaurie Dhue is only there to be a sounding board for O'Reilly. He never lets anyone respond or react to his opinion. She feeds into that ego of his. His ego has it's own zip code.

Don't get me wrong, I'll tune into O'Reilly when nothing else is on. But, there's still something smarmy about him. Maybe a woman's intuition?
O'Reilly always explains it as "Ratings" go thru the roof
Thu, 03/13/2008 - 14:40 ET by JayTeeBill always claims it's a Ratings game, and when they run this type of stuff, it's a BIG HIT with the Fox's audience and they get market share from MSM. I may be a lone conservative on this....
Thu, 03/13/2008 - 13:57 ET by NavyBuckeyebut I have no problem with strippers or hookers for that matter. Especially strippers. I frequent gentleman clubs all the time. Most are decent places with women working a job just like the rest of us. I don't blame a girl for taking her clothes off for money or a guy doing the same. Hot girls(depending on the location) can take home 200-400 for two hours worth of work. Great money for such a short amount of time worked. Plus the girls as well as the guys I suppose deal with a some people who are rather rude and perverted with what they say to them.
Even hooking. Who cares....really? It's the girls choice to do so and no on forces someone else to use a hooker. Albeit it is illegal so therefore is a problem in Elliot's case or anyone else who goes that route. Also being married makes this a bigger problem. If it wasn't illegal and he wasn't married this story would be a waste of time...but it is and he is so.....it is a juicy story.
Now Behar is just doing the we are not individuals but rather a group liberal out to save this Democrats lawbreaking butt.
“Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter” - Thomas Jefferson
We should not be surprised
Thu, 03/13/2008 - 14:03 ET by dscottWe should not be surprised at the devolution of Behar and the liberals. These are the very same people who worked tirelessly to de-stigmatize breaking the 10 Commandments, remove the consequences from doing so and then elevate that behavior to a civil right.
To a feminist, being a whore is a civil right. It's her body and only she can choose what she wants to do with it. You can't have a whore without a John. The fact that dirt bags like Spitzer, Kennedy and Clinton are more than happy to affirm their rights to despoil themselves reinforces their belief. It is a sick twisted belief system where the victim requires the actions of an abuser to demonstrate their victimhood. There can be no victim without an abuser. The prostitute blames the John for her being a prostitute, when in fact both are equally guilty of using each other for their own personal ends. It is a mutually symbiotic exploitive relationship, where one can not exist without the other.
If you ever heard Prostitutes and Johns defend their behavior, it goes something like this: The prostitute says she is no different than any other woman in getting payment for services rendered, the only difference is in the timeline, they get paid piece rate instead of salary (being married or going on a dinner date), if they get pregnant it's not the John's problem, they either get an abortion viewed as the cost of doing business or have the child in order to get money from the government. From the Johns point of view, they get what they want without the hassle of the questions or demands, they know exactly what they have to pay for what they want. Plus they don't worry about a pregnancy or child support as with a girl friend. Both are a very self centered world view.

Thu, 03/13/2008 - 15:55 ET by UndercoverConservativethe people who created the above moral relativistic argument are the same ones who try to say professional soldiers are the same as either paid hit-men or murderous gang thugs.
Liberals have perfected language as a weapon. Orwellian-style redefinition of words and terms is their newest ammunition. "global cooling" became "global warming" and was exposed, so the words changed to "climate change". The "peak oil" panic mongers were proven wrong so now the definition of "peak oil" has been changed to match current deliberate cutbacks of production-and then after changing the definition of the term try to prove they were 'correct".
Same way they change national election rules and now even local party election rules. They try to say the rules haven't changed becuase they call the rules the same thing.

I think I've got a new "drinking game" here. Every time you see a breaking/current story about a Democrat scandal (bribes, sex, drugs, etc) and it includes a prominent mention of a Republican in a similar previous scandal, you have to take a drink. Every time you see a breaking/current story on a Republican scandal that does *not* mention a Democrat in a similar story, take a drink/shot.
Or, wait until there's a close election somewhere important. The MSM will do some sort of story about corruption or something out of the blue. Watch Republicans be mentioned first, and more numerously. With luck they'll add Slick Willy but ignore the Kennedys Spitzers and any Ds from Detroit.

Fri, 03/14/2008 - 03:01 ET by sarcasmoI was thrilled to see that this political sex scandal finally featured someone who actually looks sexy, but this girl's 'music' was so grating and unlistenable...I figure anything that annoying to an old geezer like me is probably going to be a big hit with Ashley's 18-25 year old contemporaries, so at this point I'm jealous of her agent. I wonder how she should play this? If I were the agent, I'd force playing a few minutes of my client's horrid 'music' on the media as a condition of any interviews.
