Ed Schultz to Liberal Critics Angered by His Praise for Santorum - 'Shut Up!'
Ed Schultz has forgotten he works at MSNBC. His viewers have not.
Schultz, irritated that his praise for Rick Santorum set off a barrage of tweets and email, lashed out in a video posted at his MSNBC blog. (video after page break)
"All right, folks, let's have a conversation, OK?" Schultz says -- followed by dialogue consisting of nothing more than a four-minute harangue from him --
All right, so last night I'm on the coverage (of Iowa caucuses) on MSNBC and all of a sudden I start getting all of these tweets from liberals who think that I am eating Santorum's salad or I'm a turncoat and emails are coming in, Ed, wha, wha, wha, wha -- shut up!
Look, I went to Iowa as an objective reporter to bring the story to you on what's happening on the ground. And I came back and I said, you know what, this Samtorum guy (yes -- "Samtorum"), he's going to win. Why is he going to win? Because he's absolutely an ace at retail politics. And yes, whether you like it or not, he's as good as President Obama with a crowd. I know, I saw it, OK?
I, on the air, on "The Ed Show," I talked about why he's good. Because he looks right at people and gives them a direct answer and then gets into detail. He doesn't get off into the weeds with bullet points and he doesn't dismiss people, OK? There is a certain genuine quality about this guy. Has nothing to do with how radical his positions are on gay marriage or the family or, you know, the bridge to nowhere or whatever! But I want to tell you, it kind of pissed me off!
You know, look, are we at the point now where on "The Ed Show" that I can't go out and do an objective story because there might be some people out there that think, Ed's a turncoat? You know, c'mon. Is it under my skin? No! (emphatically, after having just said he was pissed off). It's not under my skin, but I just want to set the record straight that, you know, you're totally wrong (chuckles) to the point where it's almost kinda comical. But, I just thought I'd have some communication with you wonderful people about that. (sarcastically).
Notice how Schultz described himself as "an objective reporter" who may occasionally "do an objective story" -- a delusion he shares with colleague Rachel Maddow, who actually told Slate.com over the holidays that MSNBC "may" employ liberals "but the network is not operating with a political objective."
Sorry, Ed, your audience doesn't want objectivity. They want "Psycho Talk," remember? And this you provide, more often than you intend.

Ed Shultz reaps what he sows

He has conditioned his audience (what little remains) into expecting not journalism or objective discussion, but clear unadulterated partisan hype and promotion of liberal ideas and the requisite demonizing of conservatives. He has crafted a niche for himself not as a journalist but as a nightly summary of the DailyKOS.
Too late to change now Ed. You've made your bed, now you have to sleep with the fleas that you have cultivated.
Madison and Jefferson and Franklin built a Republic - Roberts killed it!
Thanks Special Ed!

Thanks for clearing up for us that you are for Obama. Why, I would have never known that unless you had given it up in this little therapy video.
Jack, thanks for watching this clown for us, and then sharing his insane rants so I don't actually have to watch his "show." Next time, however, warn me that I will put my fist down the throat of the jackass appearing on my screen.
God, please let Special Ed accept the offer for the bar fight.
Short Bus is a wine drinking cork socker, a haberdasher mother frocker, and a smelly pile of Shiite, who drinks Crown Royal IN DIET COKE!!!. That's as nice as I can say it.
I am soooooo going to Happy Hour.

Ed "I hope my face doesn't freeze this way" Schmutz, you are one lucky guy. You should get down on your knees every day (no, don't borrow Matthews' knee-pads--he still needs them) and thank God that the alphabet has the letter "I" in it, because otherwise, you'd be unable to utter more than two sentence in a row.
Has Schultz lost his mind?

put another way the "right" sees conspiracy oozing from the mouths of the left wing members of the Ministry of Truth and the "leftists" see conspiracy ooozing from the lips of the rightwing members of the same Ministry. They play everyone for suckers.
When was the last time anyone heard Shammity Hammity, Rushbo,Levin and Medved the Terd head go over the rule book. You,know the Constitution?
Has Rush, or his liberal counterparts, ever gotten into article One section 8 that lists the powers granted to the federal system by the states? There's nothing in there about foreign aid, funding education [Dept. of Education], medical care, Planned Parenthood, Freddie and Fannie type housing involvement, bailouts to banks (TARP), transfer payments to people with dependent children, ad nauseum
Ed Shultz isn't about to go over that near sacred document either. He is impressed with the "good with a crowd" Saintly Santorum but how is that supposed to make up for santorum's votes in congress for: Planned Parenthood, Foreign aid to broken wing governments, doubling the Department of [subversive]Education, subsidizing the military budgets of nations that hate us?
To the average Joe conservative that is okay as long as saintly Santorum says that marriage is the guv'ments business and kisses a baby or two.
The Santorum family isn't all bad. That nephew of his has the right idea with pointing out his uncle's failings for not adhering to the Constitution. He strongly suggests that Ron Paul is indeed the champion of the sacred document that our Founders left to us to care for and defend! But Rick Santorum has been "going through a very long phase" of ignoring it all of his political life.
Take a break, Groin.

When you go to the convenience store to pick up lottery tickets, do you put the Paul chokehold on the guy behind the counter every night?
It ain't gonna happen in a million years.

You actually have to listen to them to hear when they do it. Since you don't, you will never hear them go over it, even if they go over it every day.

Your sacred cows on radio act conservative and on a occassion they hit the mark.
RE: Rush and Hannity oppossed amnesty and helped put pressure on congress by talking about it on their show. I thank them for that! Rush and Hannity weren't leading the charge on the ground. Groups like Numbers USA set up their phone banks and email campaign and personal visits to Senators.
I donated money and time in my home town and in my travels during this period involved in different anti-amnesty group. We handed out anti-amnesty material to anyone, interested or not, and then asked how they felt about amnesty and asked anyone on our side to call call their senators.
What part did you play in that battle? McCain-Kennedy Comprehensive Immigration act was killed. We didn't care whom we bugged, even those at 7-11 with big 44 0z sodas and lottery tickets in their hands.
Michael Medved
He was on the pro-amnesty side of the debate. I wonder how many conservatives Medved persuaded to back off their instinctive opposition to rewarding criminals with citizenship?
It was at a contractors wholesale store and one of the salesman was listening to the Medved show. I asked the salesman if he had called our two senators on the McCain- Kennedy amnesty bill. He said he would. Then he described the "cultural crusader" in a way that would make "terd' look complimentary by comparison. description.
Hannity and Rush fuel the Dems vs GOP cat and dog fight. There is more beyond just one party versus another party. If we could straighten out America by simply replacing a Democrat president with a GOP one we'd win. But both party leaders deceive us and build bigger government. We end up with more debt and more government and higher taxes. Why?
Some congressman like Allen West are upset with weak GOP leaders. Maybe he smells a rat: http://dailycaller.com/2012/01/06/allen-west-house-gop-leadership-sold-u...
Rush: correct on global warming. He's described it as an orchestrated campaign full of lies and deception and based on false science.True, but... there's more to it.
The UN pushes this big government global warming agenda and the UN's IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) would not have any validity were the US out of the UN.
The UN is behind a lot of our troubles. They push gun control, amnesty (open borders) , population control (abortion and eugenics type programs), universal taxation, seek control of the internet and a plan for taxing it, globalist education of all children along marxist lines. I'd like to hear Rush speak into his "Golden Mic' words to the effect of "let's leave the UN, they're nothing but a bunch of fema-nazis!"

We get it dude. You passionately, deeply hate every single human being on the planet that isn't either you or Ron Paul.
Incidentally, if he is this "supreme expert" on the Constitution:
1) Can you show me where Congress is empowered to subsidize the shrimp industry?
2) Where Congress is empowered to purchase city buses?
3) Where Congress is empowered to pay for an Air Force, in which Paul served?
4) Why Founders ddin't go through Congress to ask permission to defend the country for such events as the unofficial war waged on the high seas against France or the military action taken against the Barbary States?
5) Why your hero has pledged to violate his own oath of office by promising to refuse to defend the country in virtually any circumstances if elected?
