First it was Jon Stewart going wobbly. Now this.
Ominous enough for Obama that a left-wing propagandist like Stewart should turn on him, as Stewart did in skewering Obama's initial response to the arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr.
All of a day later, on Friday, liberal radio and MSNBC host Ed Schultz said this on his radio show about Obama's lackluster performance at his July 22 press conference (click here for audio) --
I thought the president was off his game the other night. You may disagree. At times I thought he looked like he was a beaten man. You may disagree. And there was just a moment that went through my body, soul, mind -- I wonder if he's going to run for re-election? I mean it, that's how I felt!
Just goes to show that at least one alleged parallel between Obama and Jimmy Carter doesn't stand up to scrutiny. As I recall, it was not until the third year of Carter's term that he looked like a beaten man, somewhere between the attack of that killer rabbit and Carter dropping out of a 10-kilometer road race.
Schultz quickly reverted to form, however, saying this about Obama clarifying his remarks on Sgt. James Crowley, the Cambridge police officer who arrested Gates (here for audio) --
Can I just say that this police sergeant's a flat-out idiot? It was a serious error in judgment and now the president, the White House is saying they regret the fact that he addressed it at the press conference. The president shouldn't regret addressing anything, anywhere, any time!
Next thing you know, the peasants will think he's mortal!

SPECIAL ED...
July 27, 2009 - 23:10 ET by danybhoyThis could be the begining of the end of the free ride for Obama, from the left. Schultz is a big union guy, or should I say paid union hack, & even he will see the problem with Obama's agenda & what it will do to America's workers.
He might be ahead of the curve in blindly following the Obama party line. Now what is sad is that a comic & a former football player are the first to figure this out in the MSM, the "actual" MSM, who went to elite eastern j-schools, are so in the tank & are so invested in Obama's success that they cannot afford to not continue cheerleading for him. He might very well be at risk at MSNBC if he continues to question Obama & point out how his policies suck.
The higher-ups at GE will not put with Schultz questioning their boss, who is for all intents & purposes is Obama. If Ed can get it into his his thick skull that the Cap n' Trade bill will kill the American worker, & denounces it, GE will sack him. Since they have the biggest stake in it. I can see Ed stepping into this potential turd. I'll keep an eye on it.

OBAMA: THE BLAME SHIFTING PHASE (again)
July 29, 2009 - 09:48 ET by reelman46OBAMA: THE BLAME SHIFTER
JULY 29.2009:
“For a guy who campaigned on taking responsibility and looking forward,
he spends an awful lot of time pointing fingers and looking backward,”
said former Bush deputy press secretary Tony Fratto, who has begun
defending the previous administration.
But Democrats think Mr. Obama would be remiss if he did not point out what he inherited.
“I’m not convinced that Obama and his supporters are bashing Bush as
much as they are quite rightfully reminding people that our current
economic mess and the wars were inherited from the Bush
administration,” said Democratic strategist Bud Jackson. “It’s
important to remind people of this because Republicans are now
criticizing the Obama administration as if they had no role in how we
got here.”
CRAWFISH NOTE:The democrats have controlled the
congress since Jan. 2007. The democrats borrowed a trillion for the
vote-buying STIM this year. The democrats have had 7 months with the
votes to pass anything.
J. Carter Obama claimed for a year that he had all the answers. Now
that he has to “walk the walk” in manly realism we get crybaby looking
back. No voting “present” anymore.
Step up and apply your secular socialist pacifist principles. Ooooh, you have been. So there you go.

July 27, 2009 - 23:13 ET by slickwillie2001Any time a President becomes unpopular this kind of talk will start. I've noticed that the questions for Hillary about her future are suddenly coming up. She's the obvious one to pick him off in 2012.
The Bamster probably seriously underestimated the amount of work it is to be President. He thought it would be a 10 to 3 job like every other job he has held. M'chell as well can't be that thrilled. The fact that the Bamster felt he had to risk public disapproval to keep her happy with million-dollar flyaway dates tells us a lot. In Chicago apparently their life centered on regular attendance at the PC parties and events, and now there's not much time for that.

Do not take rabbits lightly. I know of a rabbit that lives near a cave in Perthshire that has a mean streak a mile wide. It is the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on.

July 28, 2009 - 07:54 ET by rightwingidiotEd, Ed, Ed. I have been so critical of you in the past and, now, you come and say something I might actually have to agree with. Yes, the Prez was off his game during the presser. OUCH! That was almost too painful to type. I agreed with Eddy.
Beaten? No. Dejected that things aren't going his way? Yes. But, I don't count that as much. Dejection can give way to strength.
As for "regret", Obeyme should have just shut his massive pie hole on the Gates thing. Newsflash! Barry. You ain't the smartest guy in the room. You may have won but that doesn't mean you're equipped for the job and you certainly ain't very good at making it up as you go. On prompter, you're medicore. Off prompter, you're simply pathetic.
This could be, could be, the start of a trend for the slobbering Obeyme media. We're seeing glimpses of disention in the media ranks as they figure Obeyme out. We can hope that the media will wake up out of their coma and change how they report on this crappy ass president.

July 28, 2009 - 13:35 ET by jessieHI don't think obama needs to worry about being re elected. The ones in congress comming up for election in 2010 won't be re elected, which means he won't have a monopoly on the house, anymore.
