As we reported last year, a stunning undercover videotape surfaced that appeared to show a staffer at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles advising a woman whom she thought to be a 15-year-old girl to conceal a statutory rape. Even though this eye-opening episode happened right in the backyard of the Los Angeles Times, the paper did not publish a single story about it. Not one.
Yet last week (6/9/08), the Times published a glowing, front-page feature about a 15-year-old "sex ed girl." The impressionable young teen walks the streets of Los Angeles and speaks to other teens about "safe sex." In the most flattering of language, the Times beams, "She has memorized pages and pages of information on sex education and sexually transmitted diseases. She's ready to pass out cards from ... listing services and clinics. She is also armed with condoms." A pair of flattering, smiling photos of the teen accompanies the article.
Any guesses on which organization trained this poor girl?
Andreina is 15. She's been attending Planned Parenthood sex education events since the age of 13. She had just finished eighth grade when she became one of the youngest students ever hired to be a peer advocate in a program whose goal is to reduce teen pregnancy and STD rates.
"13"?!? Un-be-liev-a-ble. This is a textbook example of how Planned Parenthood deliberately targets the youngest and most impressionable members of society to further their agenda and line their pocketbooks. But rather than reporting this scenario with the outrage it deserves, the Times actually celebrates it.
Also ... In addition to not even mentioning the scandal from last year, the Times conveniently fails to mention that Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in the United States. Planned Parenthood doesn't make money handing out free condoms and "information." Abortions equal revenue for Planned Parenthood. In 2004-2005, they ended the lives of 255,015 unborn humans (link). Each abortion costs in the hundreds of dollars. Do the math.
It wouldn't be the first time that we've exposed the Los Angeles Times for negligent reporting in this topic area. (See this, this, this, this, this, this, this, and this.)

Forget how wrong planned parenthood is,,,
WHY is a 15 year old girl walking the streets handing out condoms?????
Am I the only one who finds this obscene??
Holy crap this is just wrong on so many levels... I fear for our children and our country,,, truly the liberal mindset has run amuck..

June 18, 2008 - 00:28 ET by SchnikeysIt's interesting how they say she's ready, as if those who don't do what she does aren't "ready" and are hiding behind a tree, scared of something. Nice subtle character assassination, just like the peer pressure you saw in high school.

June 18, 2008 - 13:58 ET by GrannyGrump42They say it's "okay to wait" -- until you are "mature enough" to have sex. Well, what teen doesn't want to be mature? That's not a sales pitch for waiting. It's a sales pitch for starting sexual experimentation in order to prove, if only to one's self, "maturity".
When REAL maturity is manifested in having the self-control to keep it zipped!

also, note how the story says She's been attending Planned Parenthood sex education events since the age of 13., yet the caption states Cordova has been doing sex-ed counseling since she was 12, when one of her classmates became pregnant and dropped out of school---a seemingly important fact mentioned exactly nowhere in the story.
something about this story just doesn't ring true, ya know?
I have to ask where the heck
June 18, 2008 - 02:07 ET by jcrapes4I have to ask where the heck are the parents????? A 15 year old young woman that informed on STD's is a good thing though I would rather the info came from parents not from a clinic. If you have time check out local health department regulations concerning interviewinig patients with STD's ie gathering information on the patient's sexual contacts. If the patient is underage sometimes you are not allowed to notify the parents as to why you need to speak with their kid.

June 18, 2008 - 05:28 ET by NonanonI've said it before, the 'news' media are far beyond being biased. They effectively are the ad agency for liberalism. There has been no semblence of attempting to actually report the issues so as to inform the American public what is happening so we can decide what to think about it. At best, we get the sanitized version of the positive view they try to create about liberal philosopy, while never being told about the damaging and destructive aspects.
It is scary how many people seem to slurp it up without thinking about what they are hearing.

Let Darwin's law run its course. If every pedophile in the world catches onto her promiscuity, who does she have to blame? Herself - not the government, not her parents, nobody else.
Though I do agree the parents should have received prior notification. Not that it would've done any good.

It is not "her fault" that the liberal agenda is being forced on the younger, defenseless, uneducated masses.
It's called indoctrination.
One of the big deceptions
June 18, 2008 - 07:25 ET by sam.i.amof this article is how the anecdotes show she is always counseling teen boys, never teen girls. The LAT knows how that conversation is purely about "health services".
In the second half of the article it becomes clear the purpose of the teenage shill. For boys, here's a handful of condoms, enjoy! For girls, here is a pamphlet with the directions to the abortion clinic.

Good business
June 18, 2008 - 13:56 ET by GrannyGrump42PP makes money by getting as many people as possible to be sexually active, especially in situations where it is highly likely that an STD or unintended pregnancy will result. After all, PP makes their money from contraceptives, pregnancy tests, STD testing, STD treatments, and abortions. None of which chaste people have any use for. So the goal is to get kids to start experimenting sexually at as young an age as possible, preferably with multiple partners to increase the STD risks.
Getting an attractive teenage girl to recruit other teenagers makes perfect sense. Call her "Joesephine Camel Foot".

June 18, 2008 - 14:07 ET by nkviking75It wouldn't surprise me if this chick has slept with half the guys in her school, had a couple of abortions, and dates a 23 year old.

There is no such thing as "Safe Sex"
June 18, 2008 - 17:07 ET by deerjerkydaveThe problem is that there is no such thing as "safe sex." Contraceptives reduce some risks but there are many other risks that are not prevented by contraceptives, like the HPV virus which leads to cervical and anal cancer. Just a few weeks ago a report came out showing that one in four women have an STD. This is a tragedy on women in this society. They've been told that sex with contraceptives is "safe." If you read the contraceptive websites they make it sound like a lifetime of medication is no big deal if you get an STD.
I am not surprised...
