Fox’s ‘Minority Report’ isn’t Concerned About People Dying, but Those Poor Agave Plants Killed Off by Global Warming are Another Matter

On Monday night, Minority Report almost made it an entire episode without inserting any global warming fear-mongering. But, they just couldn’t help themselves.

In an episode titled “Honor Among Thieves,” pre-cog Arthur (Nick Zano) is sitting with a gangster whom he is about to turn over to the Chinese because he stole their money. However, the gangster doesn’t know this yet, and he thinks that he is about to kill Nick.

Which leads to a long, drawn out lead-up to the delivery of a very silly, silly line:

Gangster: You know what that is? Mezcal. It was popular back before the deserts swallowed up the last agave plants. It's pretty rare stuff these days. We should have respected this planet when we had the chance.

What makes this even richer is that about three scenes before this one, this very gangster was bragging about how he had essentially killed his way to the top. Which makes his concern over the plight of the precious Agave, shall we say, unconvincing.

Yet again, global warming wackos believe in de-population anyway. So, maybe he thought he was doing the Earth a service?
