Van Jones: Romney Should Pick Condi Rice as VP and 'Watch the Obama Campaign Go Crazy'

By Noel Sheppard | April 01, 2012 | 18:32

When the Roundtable discussion on ABC's This Week Sunday predictably turned to who Mitt Romney should pick as his running mate if he seals the Republican presidential nomination, former Obama green jobs czar Van Jones made an interesting observation.

"You want to do something bold, put Condoleezza Rice on the ticket and watch the Obama campaign go crazy" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

NYTimes Editor Rosenthal: 'Bull...' and 'Pernicious Nonsense' to Suggest Paper Is Lefty Equivalent of Fox News

By Clay Waters | March 09, 2012 | 18:00

It's "bull..." and "pernicious nonsense" to suggest the New York Times is the liberal equivalent of Fox News, says Editorial Page editor Andrew Rosenthal, because "Fox News presents the news in a way that is deliberately skewed to promote political causes, and the New York Times simply does not."

Rosenthal was one of several guests on a Freakonomics podcast back on February 16 (h/t Jim Romenesko) with the intriguing subject "How Biased Is Your Media?" (The 2006 book Freakonomics was the surprise best-selling collaboration between journalist Stephen Dubner and economist Steven Levitt.)

Ann Coulter on Media's Breitbart Smear: 'Even in Death He Shows Liberals in Their True Colors'

By Noel Sheppard | March 03, 2012 | 16:34

As NewsBusters has been reporting, the liberal media have been less than gracious following the surpising death of conservative publisher Andrew Breitbart.

On Fox News's Hannity Friday, conservative author Ann Coulter said it best. "Even in death he shows liberals in their true colors" (video follows with transcript and absolutely no need for additional commentary):

By Noel Sheppard | February 21, 2012 | 10:39

Libtalker Mike Papantonio - who happens to be a frequent contributor to MSNBC - said on Westwood One's radio program Ring of Fire Saturday that the entire Republican Party, along with prominent conservatives Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and Michelle Malkin, are dimwitted, anti-Semitic racists (audio follows with partial transcript and commentary):

Communism by Insurance Mandate

By Ann Coulter | February 17, 2012 | 17:43

One theory for why Barack Obama pushed the contraception mandate right now is that it helps Rick Santorum. Others theorize it's because Obama is an anti-religious bigot with a left-wing agenda. Reasonable minds can disagree on this.

But it may end up helping Mitt Romney by reminding people that the "individual mandate" is the least of the problems with ObamaCare. (The "individual mandate" is simply the legal argument for why ObamaCare is unconstitutional in a country that has accepted Social Security and Medicare as constitutional.)

CBS's Rose Scolds Newt: 'Why Are Drudge and Ann Coulter Attacking You?'

By Matthew Balan | January 30, 2012 | 16:19

On Monday's CBS This Morning, Charlie Rose hammered Newt Gingrich on the issue of the opposition his presidential campaign was receiving from some prominent conservatives: "Why are so many conservatives, including...Drudge and Ann Coulter, attacking you?" Rose also spotlighted how apparently "there are those who say that you [Gingrich] are angry and you want to get even with Romney."

The anchor started relentlessly pursued Gingrich not long after he began the interview. He asked the Drudge and "get even" questions in quick succession after getting the former House Speaker to reply to a recent comment from opponent Mitt Romney. Later, the CBS journalist pounced when the Georgia Republican raised what George Soros said recently, that "there isn't all that much difference" between President Obama and Romney [audio clip available here; video below the jump]:

Kathleen Parker: National Review 'Created From an Ideological Point of View...As Opposed to Washington Post'

By Noel Sheppard | January 29, 2012 | 16:05

Those familiar with Kathleen Parker's work are well aware that this supposedly conservative columnist is a fine example of a Republican in Name Only.

On CNN's Reliable Sources Sunday, Parker proved it once again saying that the National Review "was created from an ideological point of view...As opposed to, for example, the Chicago Tribune or The Washington Post" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Howard Kurtz Rips Ann Coulter for Being Bleeped by MSNBC, Defends New Morning Joe Ad

By Noel Sheppard | December 04, 2011 | 16:00

CNN's Howard Kurtz on Sunday seemed to be oblivious to his own sense of irony.

Seconds after the Reliable Sources host ridiculed conservative author Ann Coulter for being bleeped by MSNBC while on Morning Joe last week, he actually praised a poorly received promotional ad for the very show she was on (video follows with transcript and commentary):

By Noel Sheppard | November 29, 2011 | 22:22

Barnicle Barely Blinks As Coulter Calls Ted Kennedy 'Human Pestilence'

By Mark Finkelstein | November 29, 2011 | 08:56

Can you imagine the holy hell Ann Coulter would have unleashed if Ronald Reagan had been described in similarly scathing terms? But when the irrepressible Ann called Ted Kennedy "human pestilence," long-term Kennedy clan retainer Mike Barnicle barely blinked.

It happened on Morning Joe today. Coulter, who has called on conservatives to rally around Mitt Romney, was defending Romney's adoption in the past of moderate positions.  Ann argued he did so in hyper-liberal Massachusetts while running against Ted Kennedy and  that Romney "came within five points of taking out that human pestilence."  The best Barnicle could muster was a stumbling "I, I, I, I don't know that I'm going to do that with Ted Kennedy,"  that "we miss him in Massachusetts" and that Kennedy would have facilitated the ObamaCare debate.  Video after the jump.

Bozell Column: NPR vs. 'Minstrel' Cain

By Brent Bozell | November 15, 2011 | 23:46

National Public Radio proved a long time ago it disdains black conservatives. Remember when NPR’s Nina Totenberg launched the unproven sex-harassment charges against Clarence Thomas? NPR doesn’t even like black liberals who appear on Fox News: they canned Juan Williams. The sex-harassment charges against Herman Cain aren’t ruining him quickly as the media hoped, so on November 11, NPR viciously attacked Cain for being an enemy of blacks, and a “minstrel” to white conservatives.

Reporter Karen Grigsby Bates began with Harvard professor Randall Kennedy. “Black people know that if Herman Cain had his way, their lives would be diminished,” he announced. “And they intuit that Herman Cain's policies are against their interests.”

By Noel Sheppard | November 14, 2011 | 01:24

Treasured friend of the Media Research Center's and NewsBusters favorite Ann Coulter did an absolutely scintillating telephone interview with us on Thursday.

The primary topics of discussion were the media's coverage of the Herman Cain sexual harassment allegations as well as how they've been reporting Occupy Wall Street protests around the country (video follows with transcript):

Black NPR Reporter Rips Cain: 'Willing to Be a Minstrel' for White Republicans

By Tim Graham | November 12, 2011 | 09:01

On the same Morning Edition broadcast on Friday that made time to honor Obama's tender concern for veterans, black NPR reporter/Obama supporter Karen Grigsby Bates ripped into Herman Cain with a chorus of condemnation from black liberals.

Harvard professor Randall Kennedy claimed “Black people know that if Herman Cain had his way, their lives would be diminished.” Former Time reporter Jack E. White added “Herman Cain tells them what they want to hear about blacks, and in turn, they embrace him and say, see, that proves we aren't racist. He's even willing to be a minstrel for them.”

By Noel Sheppard | November 06, 2011 | 20:33

Libtalker Malloy: Ann Coulter Is a 'Closeted Killer' Who'll Probably Enter 'Suicide Pact With Glenn Beck'

By Noel Sheppard | November 03, 2011 | 09:38

For those that have been wondering, crazed libtalker Mike Malloy is still on the radio, and in a post-Gabrielle Giffords world continues to make utterly disgraceful comments about conservatives with total impunity.

Wednesday was a fine example when he called author Ann Coulter a "closeted killer" and a "real murderess" who'll "probably enter into some kind of a suicide pact at some point with Glenn Beck" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Ann Coulter Calls Politico's Herman Cain Hit Piece 'Another High-Tech Lynching'

By Noel Sheppard | October 31, 2011 | 01:39

Politico stunned the presidential campaign Sunday night with a hit piece on Herman Cain alleging with unnamed sources that two women accused the Republican candidate of "inappropriate behavior" decades ago.

Appearing on Fox News's Geraldo At Large moments after the story broke, conservative author Ann Coulter said, "It's outrageous the way liberals treat a black conservative. This is another high-tech lynching" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Ann Coulter: Media 'Will Lie About the Economy' To Get Obama Reelected

By Noel Sheppard | October 15, 2011 | 10:13

Just how far are the media willing to go to get Barack Obama reelected?

Does Rick Perry Have a Performance Problem?

By Ann Coulter | September 29, 2011 | 09:55

Liberals, whose entire political strategy is the smoke and mirrors of showbiz, have concluded that Rick Perry put in a poor performance at last week's Republican debate and has got to step up his debating technique to get back in the game.

Actually, it wasn't Perry's "performance" that was a problem. It was his "answers."

On PBS, Former Bush Aide Laments Perry's Importing Ann Coulter Lingo Into the Campaign

By Tim Graham | August 21, 2011 | 08:09

It might not be surprising to see someone sit in the rarefied liberal air of a PBS set and dismiss the undignified palaver of talk radio and Ann Coulter, but on Friday's PBS NewsHour, this line was coming from former Bush speechwriting chief Michael Gerson, and the target was Gov. Rick Perry.

Gerson and liberal Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus were sitting in for David Brooks and Mark Shields. (In other words, Gerson was in the "I agree with Mark" chair.) Both agreed that Perry really gaffed in suggesting Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke was "treasonous" if he shoveled more dollars into the economy before the election:

Coulter: Upside of Media Vetting GOP Candidates - We Don't End Up With President Voting Present as Economy Falls in Toilet

By Noel Sheppard | August 19, 2011 | 10:57

As NewsBusters has been reporting, the Obama-loving media are working overtime examining the records of every GOP candidate for president.

"The bright side though is," conservative author Ann Coulter told Fox News's Sean Hannity Wednesday, "we don't end up with a Republican president who is suddenly having an affair with an intern, or a Republican president who votes present for his entire term as the economy falls into the toilet" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

MRC Study: ABC, CBS and NBC Cast GOP as Debt Ceiling Villains

By Geoffrey Dickens | July 27, 2011 | 09:46

On Election Day 2010, then-CBS Early Show anchor Harry Smith posed a hypothetical question about newly-elected Republicans to Ann Coulter: “There’ll be a routine vote, for instance, to increase the debt ceiling and the Tea Party guys are going to say, ‘Over my dead body,’ and the government comes to a screeching halt. Then what happens?” The conservative author confidently predicted: “Well, the media will blame the Republicans.”

And that’s precisely what has occurred. A Media Research Center study of the Big Three network evening and morning programs finds that, when it came to assigning blame for lack of a debt ceiling resolution, ABC, CBS and NBC’s coverage has placed the overwhelming majority of the blame on Republicans’ doorstep.

NYT Reviews Ann Coulter's Book Cover But Not the Actual Book
