“Transgender” and “model” are not two words that should go together. Caitlyn Jenner disagreed when the former Olympian posed on the cover of Sports Illustrated wrapped in nothing but a flag. In fact, transgender models are so popular that they now get their own TV show! Whoopi Goldberg, co-host on The View, recently announced that she will be executive producing a show about transgender models called Strut. Set to air later this year on Oxygen, the show will follow a group of “models” as they strive to make their mark on the fashion industry.

Blake Lively is a beautiful young Hollywood actress and new mother.  She’s also very shapely – in the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian – she’s got an ample behind.
Lively recently graced the red carpet at Cannes wearing a tight dress and later posted on social media a photo with the caption, “L.A. face with an Oakland booty,” because…well…it was a picture of her backside in the curve hugging dress.  And all hell broke loose on social media. Rolling Stone magazine wrote an article on recent comments by Billy Corgan – the former lead singer of the 1990’s hit grunge rock band Smashing Pumpkins. Incidentally, the interview had nothing to do with a possible Smashing Pumpkins reunion or some other musical tidbit.  Instead, the article focused on Corgan’s comments about social justice movements, Bernie Sanders, and liberals.

“Look at anything Trump’s done. It plays into hatred,” actor Jeff Daniels charged on Monday’s With All Due Respect, before sneering: “The hat should say, ‘Make America White Again.’” As for the far-left socialist Sanders, Daniels trumpeted how “I love Bernie. I love the ideas he’s got,” citing his “ideals, let’s just make the world a great place” with “free health care and free college.” Alas, standing in the way is the fact “that thing called ‘Congress’ is a problem.”

Progressives kowtowed to the Pope after he commented on climate change and homosexuality. But one liberal activist in the entertainment industry thought he left an important cause unplowed: cow poop.

Russell Simmons, the so-called “godfather of hip-hop” and CEO of Rush Communications, urged the Pope to speak out against animal agriculture, in part, because cow manure produced greenhouse gas emissions.

Politics is downstream from culture, and telenovela culture is still very much pro-life.
