Reuters Emailing the Terrorists

  • Bookmark and Share

We already know that two of the Reuters' reporters covering Haditha were once imprisoned by Coalition forces for their terrorist ties. Now we hear that Reuters is communicating with Mullah Omar (or one of his reps) via email...

"PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Reuters) - Taliban chief Mullah Mohammad Omar has added to the mystery over Osama bin Laden, saying he hasn't seen his ally and fellow fugitive since U.S.-backed forces ousted the Taliban from Afghanistan in late 2001.
"No, I have neither seen him, nor have I made any effort to do so, but I pray for his health and safety," Omar said in an e-mailed response to questions sent by Reuters.
The questions were relayed to Omar through his spokesman Mohammad Hanif, and a reply was received late on Wednesday."

Okay - Reuters has email contact with Mullah Omar, Taliban chief, fugitive, terrorist, etc. and reports it as if it is no big deal. What the heck is wrong with this picture? Where did Reuters get the email address from - Omar's MySpace page? Has Reuters shared this email address with the authorities - i.e. the military hunting for terrorists? Or is the email addy for personal communication only. Which Reuters' employee was involved with the email communication?

Why do we continue to tolerate this blatant terrorist enabling so-called media organization? These journalists are responsible for "telling us the story" from the front of the war on terror. I just didn't realize it was only the terrorists' story they were interested in promoting.

Why do we continue to tolerate this blatant terrorist enabling so-called media organization?

1) Because Western society has decided it is no longer willing to fight-not just to save others from tyranny, but to fight even for its own survival.

2) Too many people of the leftward persuasion in the media, not just here but the world over, share many of the goals of the Islamo-fascists-particularly those goals that relate to the destruction of our way of life.

mb,

It falls well within my definition of it. What I find so frustrating is the seeming unwillingness of the Justice Department to go after some of these people.  I know Reuters is a European news agency and is probably beyond their reach, but we have the NYT, Washed-up Post and other "news"  organizations here in this country that have, in my opinion, crossed the line numerous times.

Remember that most of these people spent their formative years in our wonderful institutions of "higher learning" being told by their learned Marxist/Leninist professors how lousy Western society is and how it is responsible for most of the world's problems, etc., etc.  They now operate under the delusion that if that society were somehow weakened, or even brought down alltogether, that this world will somehow be a better place, which is why they support anything that promises to bring that about.

Also, liberals the world over have a certain fondness for tyrannical totalitarian forms of government.  Look at their outright admiration, if not blatant support for communism, particularly over the last fifty years.  Islam has many similarities to their favorite form of government, which I truly believe is one of several reasons why most liberals are on their side in this war.

Dave R - Frustration

Dave R - Frustration. Just last eve talking to my wife over dinner, I was telling her about some really bad issues in our country and how our officials are nutless and will not do anything about it. Yet, whan a patriotic American tries to do something about it, he/they get severely punished. The threat of someone showing the country how easy it is to enforce some laws triggers the officials in to a frenzy. I am still extremely shaken about the two border guards who will be reporting to prison for 12 years for doing their duty. Who is the bitch in Texas who went out of her way to find the "victim" so that she can show the Border Patrol that she is in charge, not them?

We citizens are better qualified to administer the laws of thsi country than the people elected and appointed to do so. Down with the ACLU!

mb,

Let's not forget about many other of our brave soldiers who seem inexplicably to be in deep legal doo-doo simply for doing their jobs.

It's enough to make me want to puke.

OH, how I long for the good o

OH, how I long for the good old days when people were shot for TREASON! That would make ALL of these terrorists lovers think twice about their actions against the U.S.
