Entertainment Weekly TV critic Ken Tucker put both Keith Olbermann and Rosie O'Donnell on his Best of TV List for 2006.
6 Countdown With Keith Olbermann MSNBC The best anchor in the biz right now books off-the-beaten-pundit guests, refuses to maintain the ridiculous pose of ''objectivity,'' and is funny as hell. Which is where some of his competitors wish he'd go.
7 The View ABC Detonate the small nuclear bomb called Rosie O'Donnell and watch a mere chitchat show explode with barbed wit and fierce sociopolitical debate. She's forced Elisabeth Hasselbeck to try to learn how to form coherent thoughts, made a revitalized Joy Behar her ally in common sense, and frequently left her boss Barbara Walters speechless.
It's quite knee-jerk of Tucker to assert that Rosie is the apostle of "common sense" and the ninja of "barbed wit." She agrees with me, therefore she is brilliant and witty. And her conservative opponent eats paste.

Tucker must be an irrational
December 30, 2006 - 19:37 ET by Andrew H.Tucker must be an irrational liberal fruitcake, full of himself, which is a complete load of human excrement. Olberman--and Rosie??? Heheh. A dogeared blind mule wouldn't have extolled the virtues of this pair for it would be his job to lead them to safety.
Liberalism is a convenient lie.

Excuse me, Mr. Tucker, Olbermann himself claims to be nonpartisan. He's the one maintaining what you call a "ridiculous pose".
And it is indeed ridiculous. And a pose.

Ratings

Keith Olbermann is now number 18.
Olbermann's ratings...
December 31, 2006 - 17:16 ET by Guy Arthur ThomasOlbermann's Nov ratings are still benefitting from the election carry over. But even with Nov ratings he is in the high 600,000's and currently isn't seeing any increase. In fact, during the month of December Olbermann is missing about 150,000 viewers on average on many nights. That represents a significant chunk of the November audience which was artificially high due to college viewers during the election cycle. Look to see Olbermann settle in the 590,000-630,000 range and drop back to 20th. This is good for MSNBC...if MSNBC was only competing against itself and this time slot before Olbermann showed up for Countdown...but horrible when you consider that Nutcase Nancy Grace is often right behind Olbermann in total viewers and both are a minimum of 3 and often 5 times less the number of viewers of the highest rating cable news show during the 8:00 pm time slot.
If you claim to be a conservative, please don't disgrace yourself and conservatism by thinking and arguing like a liberal.

I admit, I feel sorry for her because she is in that gaggle of Leftists day in and day out. (That, and I also admit she has my sympathies for another reason: she's hot!)

Saying this about "The View" is like watching chimps throw their own feces and calling it a baseball game. Mocking Donald Trump's comb-over, laughing along with a drunken Danny Devito while he insults the President, and butt-kissing egotistical liberal celebrities hardly qualifies this show as either witty or sociopolitical.

Debate?
December 31, 2006 - 23:35 ET by SportPoliticsDebate? No debate on that show either. Elizabeth tries to say something, she get most of one sentence out, and loudmouth Rosie, or Joy, or any other buts in and cuts her off, then cracks a rude smart aleck snap, goes for audience cheers, then jabbers some more, Elizabeth tries to respond, and they cut her short again, or off completely, almost never, perhaps actually never letting her finish. Then she sits back and smiles and looks good, real good.
So, debate isn't allowed on that show either. There may be a huge sociopolitical ranting shrieking cheering hate Bush psycho set of minutes every single day, but that's the extent of debate, ZERO. Fluffy brained moron EW crackerjaw suckbutt should be able to figure that out with one viewing.
