Somebody needs a hug. Asked by David Gregory on this morning's "Today" whether his dismal poll numbers would deter a presidential run, Kerry responded: "Not in the least. You know, most of those other people haven't had several hundred million dollars worth of negative framing against them."
Aw-w-w. Love Hillary or hate her, but I'd say that over the last 12 years a penny or two's worth of "negative framing" has been laid on her. Yet according to the poll NBC displayed she has a more than 3:1 lead over Kerry.
Kerry did offer a huge ray of hope, informing us that he's "sitting here in Damascus, trying to figure out how we're going to solve the problems of the Middle East."
Be sure to let us know when you have, senator.

Actually having him sit on hi
December 20, 2006 - 09:34 ET by Ruths husband BenActually having him sit on his brain trying to solve the problems in the Middle East is counter-productive. One of his handlers should tell him to stand up and get some blood flowing to it.
But he does have a catch-phrase, "I was against the terrorists before I was for them, and visa versa!"

Whenever I see Kerry on TV, I don't know quite what to do...I can't help but laugh at what a fool he is, but he's so condescending and pompous that I want to explode his stupid face by throwing the remote through the television set.
John in CA - President Bush is NOT an idiot
December 20, 2006 - 19:40 ET by kwYou know very well that President Bush is not an idiot. Nor does he pretend to be some kind of pompous, genius, more-educated than you like the esteemed Senator from Massachusetts. By the way, remember that President Bush had a higher GPA than Senator Kerry. Finally after Kerry disclosed his grades in JUNE of 2005, his GPA was lower than Bush's. Even though the headline read - "Bush, Kerry GPAs at Yale SIMILAR" (emphasise mine)

December 20, 2006 - 09:38 ET by HypocriteHaterWhat a cry baby! He thinks he's the only politician who's ever had anything negative said about him. Hey Kerry, have you been watching any of the news for the past 6 years? Every day our MSM, including your interviewer, David Gregory, spends their millions to bash Bush with "negative framing", as you so eloquently put it.
And another thing. Don't come home until you've figured out how to solve that mess that is called the Middle East. Knowing Kerry, he'll probably be FOR solving the problems in the Middle East before he becomes AGAINST it.

December 20, 2006 - 11:05 ET by GalvanicKerry possesses the kind of ego that won't accept blame or loss. For example, remember a Kerry-moment during the '04 Presidential campaign, when Kerry was skiing and took a tumble on the slope? When he reached the bottom, waiting reporters asked him about falling down up there. A smart candidate might have said something like "I think that was a Red mogul back there," or showed a regular-guy side with some self-depricating humor. But Kerry flatly and sternly stated, "I don't fall down," and blamed the spill on a Secret Serviceman skating too close to him.

Kerry is alone now, an infectious man with political herpes and no one wants to get near him. Bye bye John, sorry you didn't get picked. I do believe you should be flattered though becasue it appears Heinz has modeled their bottles of ketchup after you.

December 20, 2006 - 13:44 ET by GalvanicKerry ran and lost to the most vilified Republican incumbent since Richard Nixon, and the Dems won't forget that. Publicly, they'll agree with his claims of being screwed, because they have to reassure their minions that it wasn't the DP agenda that lost,. but the man. Privately, they knew his candidacy was going to be difficult. It's tough to get patricians to appear like regular people, and Kerry's case bore that out.
But Kerry now has a track record on the Presidential trail --- his fowl-ups and vulnerabilities have all been revealed and recorded. He's too easy a target.
Furthermore, Kerry is just the kind of politician that would spend too much time refighting the '04 Campaign, as if an '08 victory would change the results of the '04 Campaign. He'd still be blasting the Swift Boat Vets for Truth, for instance, and campaign managers know that's the kiss of death for a candidacy.
So, while Kerry can't be ruled out, I don't think there are enough supporters in the DP to make him a true contender. His ego may not accept that, but it's true.

December 20, 2006 - 11:23 ET by spiderdanIt is almost certain that the morons in the MSM are propping up Kerrie the Kommie's "Save the Arab Dictatorship" tour with softball interviews and unchallenging questions, but legitimate Americans see right through it.

What this cretin and those supporting him haven't understood is how universally ridiculed this guy is -- a pathological liar, a fraud, and dishonorably discharged from the US Armed Forces after fabricating three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star in order to cut and run from Vietnam only three months into his twelve month tour.
Now, this buffoon and his enablers in the MSM want legitimate Americans to believe he is in Syria seeking viable options for "peace"?

Good. You deserve it John Kerry. You never deserved a shot at the Presidency and when you got it you had to face your past and it didn't hold up too well, huh?
And if you run again the same thing will happen.
And if you are now beginning to realize you have no chance in Public Life at the Presidential level; good.
Your pathetic approach to politics paid you back and appears to continue to pay you back.
As a CV, I really resented what you did to my comrads during the Senate hearings; your false bravado in throwing medals over the White House fence (which you later claim weren't even your own) and your continued snobbish condenscending attitude to our men in uniform.
I hope you turn bitter. I hope you sit at your desk someday with no office to dash off to and no staff to surround you and you realize just how lonely you have become and why.
