Megalo Murtha: America 'the Enemy,' I Was Way Ahead,' 'Time To Take My Advice'

'Today' invited John Murtha in for a victory lap this morning, and the Dem congressman from PA responded with breathtaking megalomania seasoned with anti-Americanism. Calling America "the enemy" in Iraq, he preened over having been "way ahead" and demanded the US now "take my advice."

NBC's invitation came in the wake of the leak of a Donald Rumsfeld memo floating the idea of redeploying American troops from Baghdad and other cities to safer areas in Iraq or Kuwait, where they would act as a “quick reaction force.”

Matt Lauer, claiming he wasn't "putting words in your mouth," proceeded to do just that:

"Do you feel that you were chided unnecessarily and wrongly and in some way made the poster child for cut and run based on some assumptions you made and suggestions you made that the Secretary of Defense later came to the same conclusion?

Murtha, in all his glory: "Well, there's no question that I was away ahead."

Murtha later took his megalomania one step further. After calling the United States "the enemy" in Iraq, he claimed "it's time to take my advice."

Seems it was still right to stay the course until Saddam Hussein was sentenced and not as hearing Murtha sounded just cut and run. Still don't remember hearing more from Murtha than our boys and girls should come home >> sound like he was saying Iraqies not worth helping. Do look to hear more foreign policy from Murtha and not just more only in our backyard Democratic party positions. Why isn't the spouse of a term limited President who clawed and scrapped to get and have this and share this power not term limited as well >> Location, location, location >> number of years allowed to live at 1600 Pennsylvania avenue and Camp David is up and not because you can't be President as women just you should have been President part of those eight years or run yourself first. America has had maximum exposure allowed of one first couple. Take this out on your husband not us and that us includes me who help you both in early 1990's specifically thinking about furthering women's rights and opportunities.

Of course Matty doesn't tell the whole story. Murtha wanted our troops redeployed to Okinawa, Japan. That's a far cry from redeploying to another part of Iraq. But why let silly little facts get in Matty's way.

Logistical plan

I am STILL waiting for Murtha to put his immense logistical expertise to work and design a plan for redeployment to Okinawa and a contingency plan to get them back to Iraq if needed.
