ABC Highlights Military Wives Who Still Support US Presence in Iraq

  • Bookmark and Share

On Thursday's World News with Charles Gibson, ABC correspondent Erin Hayes showcased military wives who voiced support for America's continued presence in Iraq and are worried that a troop withdrawal will come too soon. Hayes noted, "Some might assume that bringing all the troops home quickly and for good would be a great relief to those families. But that is not how many of them see it." Referring to the "war's eye view that convinced them there has been progress," Hayes played several sound bites of these wives making such assertions as "we do need to stay until it's done" and "I don't think that it would be in our best interest to just pull out right now." (Transcript follows)

At one point Hayes commented, "And so the increase in violence has not diminished your resolve," to which one wife replied, "I think it's just proof that we need to be over there." Hayes relayed one wife's concern about "soldiers in Iraq who worry deeply whether the American people still believe in what they're doing there." After showing a clip of that wife contending that "if you're willing to give your life, they wanna know that what they're fighting for and what they're dying and bleeding for is important," Hayes concluded: "And considered worth, they truly hope, all they've sacrificed for it."

Below is a complete transcript of the story from the November 30 World News with Charles Gibson:

Charles Gibson: "Finally tonight, the human side of the debate over Iraq policy. As the options get discussed -- does the U.S. send more troops, stay the course, begin withdrawal? -- what gets overlooked is the effect that uncertainty about a future course has on the individual soldier and his or her family, for they are the ones with the most at stake. ABC's Erin Hayes went to Fort Hood, Texas, focusing on 'The Home Front.'"

Erin Hayes: "These soldiers, in Iraq for over a year, just came home."

Unidentified male soldier, holding his baby: "I feel like we did good things."

Hayes: "And they fully expect to go back next year, part of the rotation of a long and difficult war -- not easy for their families. Some might assume that bringing all the troops home quickly and for good would be a great relief to those families. But that is not how many of them see it."

Unidentified military wife #1: "I know all of us want our husbands home and everybody else who has family members over there, but I think we do need to stay until it's done."

Lynn James, Military wife: "I don't think that it would be in our best interest to just pull out right now."

Hayes: "Lynn James' husband, Randy, is in his second deployment to Iraq, along with the husbands of many of her friends, who hear the debate over what to do in Iraq and worry what it may mean. So this political change, on some level, affects you, with the-"

James: "Absolutely."

Unidentified military wife #3: "Oh, most definitely."

James: "The debates make it difficult for us. Before we had a straight, steadfast path, and now we're kind of sitting on the fence post. We don't know which way it's gonna go. We don't know what's gonna happen."

Unidentified military wife #3: "I just hope they support what we're doing."

Hayes: "And so the increase in violence has not diminished your resolve."

James: "I think it's just proof that we need to be over there. This is not over."

Hayes: "They are aware many don't see Iraq the way they do, a war's eye view that convinces them there has been progress."

Wendy Fil, Wife of military officer: "And that's what I think keeps them going. The soldiers, they live that. They see that on a day-to-day basis, many things that Americans don't see."

Hayes: "Wendy Fil is married to Major General Joseph Fil, commanding soldiers in Iraq who worry deeply whether the American people still believe in what they're doing there."

Fil: "I think if you're working for something, you wanna see it through. If you're willing to give your life, they wanna know that what they're fighting for and what they're dying and bleeding for is important."

Hayes: "And considered worth, they truly hope, all they've sacrificed for it. Erin Hayes, ABC News, Fort Hood, Texas."

It takes a special woman to

It takes a special woman to be the wife of a professional and career warrior. She must know what makes her husband tick. Why they are in the armed forces, why they do what they do. A wife of one of these men would understand that if the American people break faith with our warriors that will have an impact on his psyche, and might cause him to reconsider his commitment to a career in the military. That might cause an unhappiness that can be an aching feeling of misspent years and commitment and loyalty.

Sure, wives, husbands, Moms and Dads and close family of a military person certainly worry about their deployed loved ones. But they also have to understand that for those people different things drive them to do that, that some might not fully understand...

Hope that makes sense. I think it's just something most media don't understand.

To the Liberals:

As the wife of a deployed soldier, nothing angers me more than hearing people who never cared for me or my family before telling everyone what our familiy needs and wants.  I love our country, our country is our soldiers, without them, it would not be.  Listen to the soldiers and their families.  We all want to win and be proud of our service, we all want to know that our sacrifice is not nulliefied by a change in political power.  We are not a tenis ball to bat back and forth.  We are soldiers, children of soldiers, parents of soldiers, spouses of soldiers and when you discuss our fate and claim that a pull out is for us because you care about us and at the same time run around and treat us like children who have no other option but to serve, you sicken me.  To serve is noble, it is not done by idiots without any other choice.  My husband is the greatest man I have ever known, don't treat him and his sacrifice as your political tool.  Military spouses know the possiblity of death, we do not need someone to tell us, to try and scare us, we are strong, proud, and prepared.  I am an American I do not know what you are.

Amen to that Amber!

I Don't Want to be a Sailor

A little boy sat all alone, consumed by childish
dreams
A baseball glove lay by his side, unraveling at its seams.
The final game had just been played, the score was 10 to 2
His little league team had lost again but that was nothing
new.

Winning or losing didn't mean that much to this
quiet, little lad
What bothered him most and hurt the worst was the absence of his
dad.
There were seventeen kids and sixteen dads at almost every
game.
And everyone knew why his dad didn't come but still it
wasn't the same.

His daddy was a Boatswains Mate, a sailor all the
way.
He'd been on cans and sweeps and such and often was away.
But then one day his dad came home without his usual grin
And told his Mom they had to talk, his orders had come
in.

He heard his father speak of things he didn't
understand
Like duty and honor and country and what's expected of a
man.
His Mom sat awful quietly, her face was etched with fear.
He knew that she had heard some words she didn't want to
hear.

And then his daddy picked him up just like any other
day
And said "You know I love you, son, but I've got to go
away."
"You know that I'm a sailor and you know what sailors do
-
We run the ships and fight the wars for loved ones just like
you."

To the boy it seemed like that had been a long, long,
time ago.
And a boy really needs a dad around to help him as he grows.
To hold the bike when he learns to ride and to fix his baseball
glove
But most of all he needs a dad to fill his life with
love.

His mama read him letters that his daddy used to
write
With strange new words he'd never heard that filled his heart
with fright.
His daddy spoke of all the men who helped him fight the war
And how his Chief the day before had won the Silver
Star.

His letters spoke of courage and a gallant
brotherhood
Forged of soldiers and of sailors fighting for the common
good.
And he praised the brave, young warriors - Army Green and Navy
Blue
And he said "they keep the peace and fight the wars for
loved ones just like you."

Everyday the young boy waited for the mailman to come
by
For he loved his daddy's letters but they made his mama
cry.
Just how long, the young boy wondered, would his mama have to
wait
For his daddy to come walking down the drive and through the
gate.

As the young boy ate his sandwich and his mama swept
the floor
There appeared two Navy chaplains knocking softly on the
door.
We regret to inform you" was the way the speech began
Then the mother grabbed her little boy and out the door she
ran.

Nestled softly in her bosom, the young boy began to
cry
At his mama's mournful question "Oh Lord, Why? Oh Why?
Oh Why?
Even at this tender age, he knew his dad was gone
And that he and his mama would always be alone.

A little boy sat all alone, consumed by childish
dreams
A baseball glove lay at his side, unraveling at its seams.
He wiped away the tears of youth just as the hearse passed by
"Dad, I don't want to be a sailor. It makes my mama
cry."

In a normal world such an obvious and easy subject for all the networks to cover shouldn't even raise an eyebrow, let alone start a thread on Newsbusters.

But here we are three years in, and we're all gobsmacked that this is on the air.

How utterly disgraceful that we have reached that state of affairs.

It's like it takes till June 7, 1944 before the media of the day suddenly discover that... hey, these GI's families actually SUPPORT the troops and the mission.

Jack, read an article a year or so ago. Wife of a deployed soldier is interviewed by a local TV station. Lasts almost an hour. The wife expressed her worry about her husband's safety, how he is proud of what they are doing, how she supports him and his mission, how proud she is and how important she thinks the mission is.

The segment airs on the local TV news program. They take a couple of sentences and clips from that whole interview and made it look like she was totally against everything. That all she wanted was her husband to come home, damn everything else...the wife relayed how angry and disappointed with the TV station. She felt like she had been decieved and manipulated.

JICA -- doesn't suprise me.

JICA -- doesn't suprise me.

Anyone who peddles the line that the MSM is in the "truth" business is either so naive they are probably the world's nicest person; or they are part of the lie.

People who buy ink by the barrel or transmitters by the wattage know exactly what they are doing.

And it's not ususally what they put in, so much as what they leave out.

My advice to anyone who is asked to give an interview, in print or recorded for broadcast (as opposed to live) is simple.

Take your own recording device. A small camcorder, and set it up to record the whole exchange. That way you can scream at their competitors, look how they misrepresented me.

It is disgusting that it has taken this long, but not surprising that when they finally do a story that actually represents the majority of military wives it’s after the election.  You can be sure we won't be seeing any stories like this anywhere near the 2008 elections.

For me the above message says it all....

I hope the leftists and the leftist media in all forms are satisfied with their agenda driven outcome...it is despicable, detestable, and disgraceful what these so-called living creatures have been able to accomplish with their agenda driven life.....ahhhh the good old enemy within makes it easier for the enemy we are fighting in Iraq and elsewhere...

Shame is a word these people do not understand, nor do they want to....but they should be ashamed, very very ashamed.

Disgusting Insurgent Media Behavior

Hayes: "They are aware many don't see Iraq the way they do, a war's eye view that convinces them there has been progress."

Wendy Fil, Wife of military officer: "And that's what I think keeps them going. The soldiers, they live that. They see that on a day-to-day basis, many things that Americans don't see."

Many things that Americans don't see based on an American Insurgent Media that long ago made up their minds that the Iraq war was wrong and consequently only interested from the beginning in focusing on the negative in this war preventing Americans at home from seeing the truth like "the soldiers that live that."   Shameful media behavior.

Now that the Dems have inherited (thanks in part to negative reporting on the WoT) the Iraq War, America finally get's to see courtesy of the American Insurgent Media the "other" side of this war. And for no other reason than to enable their political Democrat buds to take credit for improving the situation in Iraq.  Transparant media behavior.

Why has Cindy Sheehan now dropped from the media radar in favor of wives/mothers that support the war?  Why have we not had an American body count in Iraq since the US elections when we had a daily count up and untill the US elections?  Why no more stories on supposed torture, or supposed spying on American citizens by the US government by the media since the US elections?  Could it be the media got what they wanted all along (Democrat power back in Congress) at the expense of thousands of American and Iraqi blood spilled?   Disgusting media behavior.

It is beyond that to me acume

It is beyond that to me acumen...it is and has been and will continue to be the closer we get to the next election....treasonous...the leftist in the media, of all forms, are traitors to our military and to the american people...throw in the dem. party to boot.

I was wondering if anyone else had seen this

I don't usually watch the evening news because a) it's depressing because they have nothing nice to say ever about Iraq, b) it makes my head want to explode.  However, that day I happened to turn off Clifford early so I could catch the local news & saw this piece.  At the end Charlie Gibson looked so po'd that someone actually articulated what my husband & I both feel.  It's funny because the ones who are close to it overwhelmingly feel the same way.  It's the shehags and iraq vets for peas (my slant) who get all the coverage.  The press tends (as someone had also mentioned) to clip the stories to their view which is anti-war and anti-military.  I would much rather have my husband home today, our sixth wedding anniversary (had to give a shout out there) to take me out for some wonderful dinner but we've been married 6 years and have only celebrated our first (because he had just returned from Kosovo) together on the actual day.  As that woman said, we don't know what the path will be now.  I've mentioned  this multiple times but I cannot express the depression my husband Michael felt at the results of the elections (he was home for R &R then).  He flat out stated that now he guessed the Army was going to be just a career because obviously the voters who don't know their asses from their elbows don't give a good GD at all.  If we leave now it will be worse but no one cares they just make themselves feel better by saying they support the troops with little yellow ribbons on their GD cars.  We both feel that we wish they really did and let them do what they need to do and not leave before hand.  Anyway, I guess don't get me started.  The US lost a wonderful young Capt. Mark Paine, who was also one of our groomsmen and readers 6 years ago tonight.  I can still see Mark dancing the Electric Slide with the group who had come up to VA (Fort Monore) from Fort Stewart, GA, and leading the gang with Col. Ling who came down from DC on his birthday and missed the Army & Navy game.  Anyways, I know I digressed a bit but I just wish the MSM and most of the country would get it through their thick heads that the Soldiers & the rest of the military as well as their families (for the most part) want them to finish the job even though it means time away from us.

From one woman to another, as little as this means for you, I say... "Happy Anniversary"...may you have ninety more with your man...thank you both for your service gal...may your husband stay safe, thank him and those that he serves with for me and my family....really words are nothing at times like this, it is impossible to explain the outrage I have felt since the election, it is even worse in the media since the elections with MSNBC and CNN leading the pack for withdrawal now...you rant on anytime you want, it may wake up some people here (leftists) to reality...I use may lightly.

In my view they are enemies...outright enemies and have no shame about it. It has to be five hundred times worse for you and your husband and all military families, that is the first thing I thought of after the election was our military and the glee from all enemies, they accomplished their mission...it is way past pathetic....I pray for the Iraqi people also who want and have fought and died for their freedom along side our brave soldiers.

May God watch over us all....

My hubby called about 6 this morning for about three minutes and my folks called as well.  It's nice to hear it!

My husband will behome on R&a

My husband will behome on R&R for our 7th.  We both take the time away from each other to grow and stregthen ourselves and our marriage.  It is hard, but if you want to you can do it.  I was a mechanic in the army for 8 years, but since my husband left 14 months ago I have gotten better, a lot better than I ever was.  I promised him that I will miraculously forget all I learned when he gets home for good, which should be in another4-5 months.  My husband is full time with the ANG now, he used to be active duty and I wish he still was.  In the ANG you do not have the support of a Army base.  Your neighbors and their commitment to this country are hit or miss.  I have had my clashes with local people, but I am fortunate that most people here are supportive.  There is a strength in the spouses of people who are or who have been deployed that makes me honored to be among them.  I hope your R&R was good, despite the elections.  I don't think we will turn on the TV, on the off chance he might see the news and throw something at it.  My kids are troopers too, they are really doing well, I am lucky.

Thank you for all of the well-wishing, I do appreciate it.  It reminds me that the media's goals and values are not shared by our citizens and that is very comforting when someone you love is serving.

Thank you so much.  For being you.  And for sharing what it is like to be the one who stays home and takes care of the day to day life.

I hope you know that all of us here support you one thousand percent.

We here know that the media doesn't have a clue.  Don't let them bother you....they are idiots.  And represent the worse in our country.

All the best to you and your family.

And my sincerest thanks for all that you do.

Asheville NC is having it's own little war against our military. Most of the country knows nothing of the liberal takeover of this beautiful city in the mountains, but I hope outsiders start to notice soon.

Recently our city council (which is very liberal) raised the rent on our local reserve unit. There had been a historical agreement with the city to lease the property to the reserve for something like one hundred dollars a year $100. Our council does not like military types and showed their disdain by raising the rent to over one hundred thousand $100,000. We are putting a lot of pressure on the council and hope to see their attitudes change FAST!

Clear, okay, what's a rain tax?

Read an article a few weeks ago. Someone in Idaho complaining about all the Californians coming to Idaho and trying to change things. Says they'll say we did this in CA. The Idahoan said well it it was so great and worked so freakin' well there why'd you leave?

Give a Democrat Party free America a chance!

John in CA...

The city measures your roof, driveway, patio, and any flat surfaces such as walkways. Then they plug in the total sq footage to a formula they came up with, and boom, that's what you pay in rain taxes. Their theory is... the city has to spend money for water run-off so the taxpayers have to pay. Nice liberal idea, huh?

Clear, that is a novel weal

Clear, that is a novel wealth confiscation scheme. Shouldn't that be already part of the water runoff system in the city? Part of what you pay for when you hook up to city sewer and part of the storm water drainage system?

Well, that's something they really can't get away with out here in the desert. There really is no rain...lol

Give a Democrat Party free America a chance!

Well since I work for the evi

Well since I work for the evil government and know some of the reasons for this, it isn't such a bad thing.  One problem is that the infrastructure needs to be revamped and upgraded with development in the area.  Second there will be more runoff if the soil or surrounding land does not or cannot sink into the soil, as in concrete and other non permeable materials.  So to provide drainage and to make sure everyone pays a fair share they calculate all non permeable surfaces and determine the total runoff from that.

This is in response to many federal agencies that have imposed edicts, fines or both on muncipalities and counties to fix the problem.  In short the cities are pasin gteh cost equitably, at least in theory, to the landowners because they dont have the money in a budget for upgrades needed.  In any case it will be passed along just like any expense it just matters in the way it is passed along.

All governmnetal entities have expenses and some taxing authority or som way to get money, we all pay for it in one way or another.  We should stand up to boondogle projects and politicians at all levels who want to spend money.  There are good causes and there are bad ones.  Just like in New Orleans and Louisana they decided wrong and spent the money for levies on other things.

Remember the money supply is limited and we must prioritize it.

Nuke em til they glow then shoot em in the dark. -- save my gun, shoot a liberal.

It has been going on slowly a

It has been going on slowly all over the whole NW...don't think it hasn't been a well thought out plotting plan, along with natural progression because of the socialism that has made the other leftists leave the cities and go to other locations and know better than the people who have lived here for generations and tell them how to run the place, they do this methodically and it hasn't been by accident, not by a long shot.

It is all in the votes and the proof is in the pudding every election with the growth of leftists in each and every precinct and county state by state...the big cities always can depend on the left, it is the rest they have been slowly but surely encroaching on.

I don't know what the attraction of Asheville is for liberals. I know that many areas of NC are getting more and more liberal - particularly in the Triangle area. Seems that happens everywhere there is a large university community. What a shame.

please do keep us informed on this!

About 12 years ago I went to Asheville with my parents to see the Biltmore Estate & the leaves (growing up in IN but living in FL there wasn't any changing leaves).  We stayed 3 days at the Mt. Pisgah Inn but we really enjoyed the city.  One of my friends was there about 3 years ago and said it had changed but didn't really elaborate.  I know why now.  I had told hubby that when he gets back & we PCS to Fort Gordon, that I wanted to go up there this Fall if we could swing it & have dinner at the Grove Parke Inn.  Guess we'll have to find somewhere else to go see the leaves if that is the case in Asheville.

terrig...

The places you mentioned are still neat places to go to, and I could give you a few others. Most tourists never get involved in the liberal underbelly in the city so I would say for 3 days you would survive without being scarred for life.

CT, guess you're right.  It's like HI.  People come out here and stay in Waikiki and think HI is one big luxury hotel.  They don't know who crazy liberal this place is & how anti-military a number of people are here.  I did enjoy the Biltmore winery when we were there.  I don't think it had been open that long when we were there.  It was a beautiful place to be.

A City By A Body Of Water getting theirs

Awesome!

I was so happy I was spared having to transit through that town when I transited the Pacific over the summer...

The more the military turns their back on Moscow on the Pacific, the better off we all are.  Their citizenry need to be shown that you just cannot bite the hands that protect you constantly and get rewarded for it...

Indeed, I hope and pray the Blue Angels AND the Thunderbirds avoid the place...say, if that can free up a date on the Blue Angels calendar, maybe they and the Thunderbirds can do a joint visit to San Antonio (Military City USA) next year...

I think on the Blues calendar San Fran is one of the hard scheduled shows that they do every year. Dumping SF would at least free up one show that could be used as an open show date and let some other communities witness the demonstration. San Antonio sounds like a good choice. With so much Army and Air Force in that vicinity I would think the Thunderbirds would show there often.

Give a Democrat Party free America a chance!

Why are the Blues going to SF, they have to know they're not wtd

Seriously, why are the Blues are the T-birds or any military unit going to go there?  So what if it's some place that they've gone for forever.  The socialsts don't want them there why give that stupid city one thin dime from anything that has to do with the military.  Why we're at it how come the federal government doesn't stop sending their school board money when they got rid of ROTC & do everything possible to discourage recruiting but do everything possible to embrace the gay lifestyle.  I know gays that won't even go there because it's too over the top for them.

Harmon would of been the best, as I have stated before, I watched over time, Harmon slowly back away from her support of the military and their fine work, the war and her support of the Pres. It was disappointing watching her grovel...oh well, she did it with dignity for a leftist, she is not going to forget....a woman scorned with money herself to boot!

BT'er, Reyes is a leftist. He's very anti-Iraq war. He already has plans for investigations/inquiries/hearings into Iraq intelligence and NSA terrorist surveillance. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Let's plow that ground again.

terrig, San Fran used to be

terrig, San Fran used to be a very pro military city. That's why it still gets the bennies of things like Fleet Week and Blue Angels. And there is still a big pro military community there. It's just that they can't out vote or over ride the liberal political leadership.

Since SanFranNan is now (almost) the Speaker, how much you want to bet she tries to do something to make the Navy commission that ship in SanFran. She knows it's a financial and publicity boon for her home district. They want their cake and eat it too.

On Military City USA, Air Shows, etc.

John in CA - You have no idea how looked forward to the Air Show is around here.  For years they would alternate between Kelly (now KellyUSA) and Randolph AFB each year.  When they pulled the Air Show for lack of funding a few years back it made waves across town, for that easily pulls in 250,000 people (out of a city of 1.1 million people), if not more.

Each year the Thunderbirds stop by, and when they can't make it (that's rare) the Blue Angels stop by.  The Air Show used to be the third week of May, to cap off Armed Forces Week.  Now, thankfully, they moved it to November (it's just too damn hot in May!).

This city being the Gateway to the AF and having two army facilities does not hurt, nor does a large retiree population and others with military ties.  It is estimated that one in four people are connected with the military in some fashion.  So...if Москва-на-Тихий Океан wants to cough up the Blue Angels, we'll be happy to adopt them for a day.  We'll make room.

"Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy."  -Sir Winston Churchill, British statesman (1874-1965)

I bet she does.

John, you're probably right.  I bet she does do that.  You know my ex-boyfriend Navy pilot said that's why his parents settled out that way when his father got out of the Air Force because everyone was friendly to them.  This was in 1957 though so I guess things have changed a bit.  I don't understand why they hate the military so out there.  I remember one time I was watching Hannity & Colmes & some supervisor was on there and he said something about the military should be disbanded and the country could be defended by the Coasties (nothing against the Coasties or the Police) & the Cops.  Even Alan was speechless at that statement.

terrig,I think we should just

terrig,

I think we should just pack up San Fran and FedEx them directly to Tehran.

See how they'd dig life under Sharia law.

They'd be begging for the military within about five seconds flat.

Now that's a plan!

Blonde, I am more than willing to put forth whatever I would need to, (cash advances, second mortgage, what have you) to do that! :)

terrig, I think SF started

terrig, I think SF started turning in the late 60's and early 70's, being so close to Berkely and the hot bed of anti-war activists.

I think the SanFran supervisor thing was November of 2005 when they had an initiative on the ballot to ban recruiters from high schools.

Surprisingly, (and it may very well be the same in SanFran) I went to Fleet Week in NYC around '88, maybe '89. As liberal as NYC is,  we were treated like royalty. We were required to wear our uniforms (not a problem) and you could hardly buy your own drink in a bar. If you were standing there looking sort of lost trying to find some landmark, a New Yorker would stop and ask if they could help. On more than one occassion they samaritan didn't just say oh go to the corner and go...no, they'd take us by the arm and say here, let me show you...very welcoming and very friendly and glad we were there.

It's probably the same in San Fran. But like I've said, that group can't out vote and out maneuver the politicians and activists. It's a shame the good guys have to be punished, but SanFran as a whole needs to be.

I forget that they all aren't robots.

John, you're probably right.  I forget that there are others there.

On NYC

Back in 2004, when I visited the Empire State Building, I was surprised to see military discounts offered there (I fully expected sheer hostility to the military in New York).  It's good to see you had a good experience there.

"Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy."  -Sir Winston Churchill, British statesman (1874-1965)

terri....that show was pricel

terri....that show was priceless! It even left Colmes open-mouthed and speechless with unbelief!

It is really is seriously sickening when you see this though, especially during a time of war, the men are fighting and giving their lives for the likes of the creatures that have the moxie to get on national television and represent a city...it really has to kill the minority of conservatives that live in the area....

While a great story (finally)

While a great story (finally) from the MSM, 10-1 it's a cover story so they can run story after story highlighting Sheehan types and claim no bias because they ran this one story about pro-US military wives.

sad but true

You're right unfortunately.  Now the shehag will be saying that they give too much time to pro-military wives & they don't speak for the majority (in her view).
