I already linked to Flopping Aces, read his bust of the AP here. Given that, or even aside from it, should this, (registration required) via the AP, be in the main Iraq story in the Chicago Tribune today?
Separately, police and witnesses said U.S. soldiers shot and killed 11 civilians and wounded five on Sunday night in the Baghdad suburb of Husseiniya.
"We were sitting inside our house when the Americans showed up and started firing at homes. They killed many people and burned some houses," said one of the witnesses, a man with bandages on his head who was being treated at Imam Ali Hospital in the Shiite slum of Sadr City. The police and witnesses spoke with Associated Press Television News on condition of anonymity to protect their own security.
The military denies any operation in the area, still the AP feels compelled to print this trash from sources who won't even identify themselves?
The U.S. military said it had no record of any American military operation in the area.
Will anyone hold the AP to account? Or the above be headlining the MSM network coverage tonight?

The reporting of the MSM on I
November 27, 2006 - 17:29 ET by bassndudeThe reporting of the MSM on Iraq seems to lack a little something. Perhaps some character, truth and some integrity might serve to improve there reporting. Not to mention the fact that they have forgotten how to verify a story. Dan Rather has indeed left his mark on the american media.

Not until someone has the stones to step forward and show damage by this non-stop fraudulent, deceptive and fallacious reporting in a civil suit. At best, a large enough number of such civil suits could render reporting this jihadist propagada too expensive. At the least, such a legal process would encourage these no-name, nobody stringers to be introduced to the world by reporters writing this fiction. At worst, if these reporters refuse to name names, then we can anticipate them having to provide their own name while introducing themselves to their new bunk mates in cell block D. Whether financial or personal, fear is a great motivator for behavioral change.
When will the MSM stop this?
November 27, 2006 - 17:43 ET by terrigI cannot understand the zeal of the MSM to look for something bad with the US Military. I would like to bitch slap these people and shake some sense into their heads. What in the hell is their damn problem? I cannot fathom where their hatred of America and the military comes from.
terrig, you just don't get it!
November 27, 2006 - 20:33 ET by UnsaneBecause, terrig, other countries allow the United States to exist out of the kindness of their hearts. Therefore we don't need a military. If we just dissolved our military, concentrated on exterminating the REAL terrorists (Rich Leeches and successful people), and had our government turn into an agency that pampers and spoils its citizenry, the ENTIRE WORLD would LOVE the United States, and world peace would be at hand!

November 27, 2006 - 18:25 ET by idahoguyUmm, yeah, uh, I was sitting inside my house yesterday when some AP reporters showed up and started firing at us. They killed many people and burned some houses. Evidence? No, I don't have any. How can I if my, ummm, house burned down. Again. But go ahead and run that story anyway. And be sure to arrest those violent reporters. And oh yeah, I'll be unavailable for comment because, ummm, it's a holy day, and umm, I'm grieving from the anguish inflicted on me by the AP. Huh? Oh, right, umm, I mean you can't contact me to protect my own security.

November 27, 2006 - 19:19 ET by liberal_bug_zapperThis won't end until we get a true leader with some stones. Until then, Liberals run the country and the news that the country reads.
Did you know that the alternative media means nothing? Have you seen the stories? Yep, the alternative media is meaningless and has no power. This is why they are now going to continue to write this stuff. They believe that sites like this don't get coverage with enough people to make a difference, and they never get punished for writing lies.

November 27, 2006 - 19:27 ET by GritsThe MSM lives and dies by market share and circulation figures. It is within your power to deny both to the MSN and the print media. If more of us had done that, the democrats would not have won. There are not enough liberals to support the Three Blind Mice, CNN, and the liberal press. Turn them off and cancel your subscription.

November 27, 2006 - 19:56 ET by misterbillI do my best to deny income to the MSM. I do, though, subscribe to a liberal rag.(Atlanta Constipation) (oopps Constitution!) They got me because their sports page and puzzles are the best around here. Their editors are liberal beyond belief. One of them is a black female who is one of the worst racists I have come across in print. I also subscribe to a local (Marietta Journal) conservative paper to get the truth. They, in fairness, have a columnist who is one of the biggest anti-Bush , anti-conservative writers I can think of. I guess I have to take the good with the bad.
