Bolded words are mine:
April 30, 2006 --
John Kenneth Galbraith, 97, Dies; Economist Held a Mirror to SocietyNovember 16, 2006 --
Milton Friedman, Free Markets Theorist, Dies at 94
Economist Friedman accomplished more in reality than Galbraith ever did in theory or in reality.

November 20, 2006 - 00:34 ET by PSOSThat's completely outrageous. There's been a campaign in the far left newspapers to discredit Friedman, who was both a great economist and a great man. The Toronto Star absurdly declared Friedman's legacy "would not be well served by a careful examination of either the efficacy of the ideas he fought for, or a true measure of how widely they have been genuinely implemented" and implied Friedman was a hypocrite for not working in the public sector, while The Guardian's headline declared, "Friedman's theories leave a mixed legacy." The Guardian then decried the "disgracefully disrespectful, comments after Galbraith's death" and said "commentators last week went over the top in praising Friedman, whose contribution to the public weal was not quite as glorious as initial reactions suggested." Nowhere is failure so glorified and success so reviled as on the left.

November 20, 2006 - 04:53 ET by Andrew H.Mr. Friedman has been one of my political heroes since I learned about him in college (1971-1975). He was an economist of the highest order and I use the word politcal hero because the very foundation of conservative economic principles were widely disseminated by his writings and proven by this great man--they work every time--they are true. May he rest in peace.
Never relent.

The Keynsians just can't quite get over themselves, can they?
Well....to put a better spin on this story (why not, the MSM does it all the time?).
Milton Friedman was an economic theorist whose theories were equivalent to the theories of the physicist's greatest theorist....Albert Einstien.
An economic genius.

Well said. Even in a man's death the liberal msm can't bring themselves to tell the truth. It is very sad.
