CNN Reassigns Reporter Who Called Group of Israelis 'Scum' on Twitter

The liberal media is hemorrhaging foreign correspondents from Israel and the Gaza Strip. Only one day after NBC suddenly pulled anti-Israel Ayman Mohyeldin from Gaza citing security concerns, CNN was forced to relocate journalist Diana Magnay from Israel. Both correspondents struggled to keep their reporting and social media presence neutral in tone.

Magnay reported during The Situation Room from a hill in Israel where citizens were “cheering”while watching the “astonishing” and “awful” launch of missiles into the Gaza. The CNN correspondent, normally based in Berlin, followed the segment with a tweet calling the celebrating Israelis “scum.”

In a statement released by a CNN spokeswoman, Magnay claims the she was “threatened and harassed before and during a liveshot” but that “she deeply regrets the language used.”

While Diana Magnay was merely reassigned, her anti-Israeli Tweet recalls the fate of another CNN reporter, Octavia Nasr. The former senior editor of CNN’s Middle Eastern affairs was fired from CNN in 2010 after tweeting her condolences for the passing of a prominent Hezbollah cleric, who in her words, was “one of Hezbollah’s giants I respect a lot.”

Meanwhile, liberal Twitter rants remain undisciplined at other outlets, like HBO, where Real Time host Bill Maher compared “dealing w/ Hamas” to “dealing w/ a crazy woman who’s trying to kill u” that you have to slap. No discipline should be expected from HBO for this misogynistic and insensitive comment.
