Open Thread: Balance the Budget in Under a Minute

November 16th, 2010 9:03 AM

We've got quite the OT today. The New York Times has come up with a nifty interactive tool for making your own preferred reforms to balance the federal budget. James Pethokoukis brags that he balanced the budget (as of 2030) in under a minute.

We have two topics of discussion here: first, check out the app and make the tough choices yourself, and then come back here and tell us what you cut or which taxes you raised (you can link right to your own results).

And a second topic: is the app fair, or does it reflect the NYT's own biases? Patterico says it's "laughably biased." What do you think?
