NewsBusters, I sincerely hope you won't mind me sharing some amazing personal news with you: moments ago, my son Brandon cleared a personal best 2.10 meters (6-10 3/4) in the high jump finals at the Big 12 Championships earning him seventh place and an invitation to the NCAA Midwest Regionals in two weeks:
Yeah, baby!!!

Jonas was not the only Husker to jump well on Sunday as freshmen Paul Hamilton and Brandon Sheppard each placed in the top eight and recorded new personal bests.
finished third with a jump of 7-3 (2.21), improving his regional-qualifying mark and increasing his personal best by 2 1/2 inches. Sheppard placed seventh, adding his name to the regional list with a jump of 6-10 3/4 (2.10). Hamilton
