It seems that Rosie did more on “The View” than lame Donald Trump imitations, belittle Elisabeth Hasselbeck (as well as Republicans in general) and advance ridiculous conspiracy theories that defy logic, not to mention physics. Rosie also controlled the issues discussed on the “The View,” and while she was on the show, certain issues were off limits...like heterosexual sex.
According to the TV Guide, during a June 13 appearance on the popular LA-based radio show “On-Air with Ryan Seacrest,” Barbara Walters revealed the control that Rosie wielded over the show's daily discussions. From the TV Guide (bold mine throughout):
While admitting, "It's very hard for anyone to follow Rosie," boss woman Barbara Walters says she is rather pleased with “The View” performance since O'Donnell's famous walkout. "There are things we've been able to discuss that we weren't able to discuss with Rosie, like heterosexual sex," Walters told Wednesday's “On-Air with Ryan Seacrest” radio show. "We are perhaps not quite as political [or] vocal about [things], but the Hot Topics have been very fun, and the ratings are up, so we're quite happy. Obviously, the audience is very loyal."
Not for a second do I believe that Walters and ABC would have tolerated that kind of bias from Hasselbeck, but they willingly altered their content and avoided certain topics for a ratings-winner who is a member of a protected minority class. Before Rosie, the show frequently delved into heterosexual sex issues, usually addressing it with a frankness and humor that the audience loved. That ended when Rosie took the moderator's chair.
Of course, Rosie fired back on her blog in response to a reader's question about Walters' comment, hyperbolically stating, “my response is, she is almost 80.” (sic)
Nice way to dodge the issue, Rosie. I'm not exactly sure what Walters' age had to do with Rosie's apparent aversion to discussing hetero sex, but it did seem to show a bit of additional bias on her part--bias against seniors. Shame on Rosie for that terrible age-ism! Doesn't she know that senior-Americans can have vibrant, healthy sex lives, even those who are cursed with mundane heterosexuality? Hasn't she seen the Viagra ads?
One would think the media would report this. First of all, it concerns Rosie, who's always popular and brings in extra readers and viewers. Then there is the issue of a talk show host restricting discussion because of her her sexual persuasion. I can't imagine that if Walters had been talking about Elisabeth Hasselbeck preventing “The View” from reporting stories about homosexual sex, or even chatting about it, the media would be so disinterested.
Equality means more than having the same rights. It means having the same responsibilities and being held to the same standards as other groups, particularly the majority. If we're all equal, then anti-hetero bias by a gay activist is just as newsworthy as an anti-gay bias by a hetero activist.

The deeper Meaning

Realize how limiting, idiotic and disfunctional it is to DEFINE PEOPLE BY A SEX ACT.
Think about it. Would it not seem off the wall to define your entire life if your navel was "an inny or an outie"? Yet, this is the same situation people like Rosie define all they are first by a sex act. How about defining your entire life if you leave a toilet seat up or down. It is all just nonsense and for people to be so controlled and obsessed to categorize themselves by what or who you have sex with is a psychopathy. It is not healthy for people to define themselves not by who they are, but by some action they choose to control them.
Sex is an action. That means it is a choice. It is not like eating or breathing to survive, and yet, in those far more vital areas one does not say, "Oh I am a long breather so I can discuss running or I am short of breath so I can not discuss the Olympics".
Whenever obsessions get involved that people define themselves like vegitarians or homosexuals when it starts defining who they are instead of healthy outlooks like, "I am a parent. I am a teacher. I am a farmer. I am a Christian. I am an artist", great chaos starts erupting as Rosie is a perfect example. Rosie is not disruptive because she is a lesbian, but disruptive because she can not come to terms with things hidden inside of her.
I have an idea what is going on in Rosie as most people who define themselves by sex were abused in some form sexually. Her not being able to deal with nature created sex reveals she has not come to terms with who she is. That is really sad, because her entire life is overcompensating in eating to things she has hidden.
She needs help and not catty remarks by Babs Walters who pimped her for profit and is now getting in her final digs. I only feel sorry for Ms. O'Donnell and the hosts of people attaching themselves to her as she is a sinking ship of self destruction like all people are suffering as she does. She can not control herself so she seeks to control others. She can not bear or bare who she is so she surrounds herself with a possee and she can not hate herself so she creates people to hate to vent upon. Kelly from Regis and then to the Donald to vent on, but always Rosie is expecting to loose as that is what she wants to happen.
Rosie is punishing herself in revenge for being born. Allot of people in this world are doing that now and several of the top democrats are in that same sphere.
God help them because they require it and like an alcoholic they will not seek it until all the defintions they are hiding behind fail to hide them any long from themselves.
