NB's Sheffield on FNC Discussing CNN Reporter Scandal

NewsBusters executive editor Matthew Sheffield appeared on the FNC show "Fox and Friends" Thursday morning (7:00am ET hour) to discuss fired CNN correspondent Jeff Koinange and the scandals surrounding his apparent staging of a news story as well as his use of network resources to conduct an affair with a source.

Video (4:02): Real (2.96 MB) or Windows Media (2.48 MB), plus MP3 audio (1.15 MB).

Update 7:50 | Matthew Sheffield. Well that was fun. Unfortunately the prior segment to mine ran a little long so we didn't get a chance to fully discuss the FNC Iraq question. Please see Tim Graham's followup on the subject if you're interested in more.

All I know is....

All I know is.... I would not be a bit surprised if some day someone found out that Dan Blather et al., or someone paid to have the Abu Ghraib incident staged too

Well, good job, but the end

Well, good job, but the end sucked. They played music rudely (too damn many commercials on Fox, too) and then the Fox newsdroid plugged Newsbusters.com -- which was a 404 error when last I checked, but is now a crappy placeholder for someone's political website.

Hey- that's hipster Roger! I think the hair is perfect.

The part about the guy havi

The part about the guy having an affair with a woman 'old enough to be his mother' was pretty funny.

Oedipus Koinange

Monkeys have no tales of Koinange.

Guess he's too old for Demi Moore.

And speaking of must-see TV

And speaking of must-see TV, Ron Paul was on Colbert last night, and he did what I've been wanting various candidates to do -- promised to defund various agencies of big government. Yep, it's the YouTube election, and Steven Colbert is "passionately ambivalent." :)

I just happened to catch this

I just happened to catch this early this morning...I think not long after five this morning...clicking the channels around and there you were Matthew S.

Great job! Excellent report about CNN and another example of the blatant made up hypocrisy they have gotten away with over the air-waves, after the intended damage has been done....they do not present anything without an agenda most times.

I too wished you would of had more time to get to the FNC Iraq reference...bet there will be other chances too!

Great presentation...and a handsome young man to-boot.

Great advertizement for NewsBusters too.

IMHO-This is just the tip o

IMHO-This is just the tip of the iceberg. There are many stories that the MSM covers that cite unnamed sources that I believe they make up from the get go.

Kudos Matthew, you caught them with their underwear down, again!

Is this Mexico or the USA

Great job Matthew. Too bad

Great job Matthew. Too bad there wasn't more time. I think the worst part about this is that it took him being caught admitting it for anything to be done. We all know that this goes on all over the place and nothing is done about it. Some of the most egregious are with Hamas, Cindy Sheehan and the communist funded anti war rallies.

Don't forget to put this on Youtube!

Great job representing cons

Great job representing conservatives and exposing libs. Too bad about the rush job at the end. At least the computerized commercial break didn't cut you off mid-sentence.
