The next time someone tells you that there aren’t any liberals in the media, make sure to point out the following to said person.
Former WCBS TV (New York) and KCBS TV (Los Angeles) anchorwoman Bree Walker is buying Cindy Sheehan’s Camp Casey near President Bush’s ranch in Crawford, Texas.
For those unfamiliar with Walker, she is now a "progressive" talk radio host on Air America’s affiliate KTLK in Los Angeles.
As reported by the Associated Press:
Cindy Sheehan will sell her war protest site near President Bush's ranch to a California radio talk show host, who will preserve it as a peace memorial, her spokeswoman said.
Sheehan, who announced on Memorial Day that she was stepping down as the face of the anti-war movement, will sell the 5-acre site in Crawford for $87,000 to Bree Walker, Sheehan spokeswoman Tiffany Burns said.
Liberal media bias? What liberal media bias?
As an interesting sidebar, Sheehan paid $57,250 for the property, giving her a nice little 52 percent return on her money in less than a year.
As the funds to buy the land came from insurance money she received after her son Casey was killed in Iraq, a cynical person could make the case that she’s profiting from a war she's been protesting against.
Of course, we know that only warmongering conservatives can do that thereby likely making this an angle the media won’t be covering.
Or, is that just too darned cynical?

As for the sheehag making a profit-it's quite fitting isn't it. I was personally hoping someone would buy it and sell it to that Melanie Morgan kind of like old Sheehag did when she sent that guy in who was supposedly from NOLA and had sufferred so after Katrina but in reality he was a scammer like Sheehag. Sorry, used to feel pity for her now I do not. There are others parents I know who do not carry on such as she and they lost children too but the only one getting press is her ugly, skank self. Okay, off my soap box.

C'mon, Noel, that's quite a stretch. I'm no fan of Sheehan, but it's her money to do with as she pleases. If she made a profit on selling her land, so what? The only way I think she could reasonably be criticized would be if she donated the money to the enemy.

But as a citizen of the USA, Bush owns a personal residence. To buy property for the sole reason of protesting is a character trait of a stalker when that property is situated adjacent to the victim's home.
I think it shows incredibly poor character to pursue someone all the way to the legal border of their residence. It knocks on the doors of personal freedom and the sanctity of one's dignity.

Now, she was born with a disabilty as was I, but mine is Asperger's Syndrome (form of Autism--you can look it up I would say Google, but that would be playing into the enemy hands). But disability or not, it's NO EXCUSE to hate your country. By the way, i didn't find out about my disability til I turned 21 years of age. Before finding out, I was working in the media, for an NPR station.
I think ever since then, my disability has prevented me from living my dream of working in radio, crazy enough in news. But I want to break the liberal rules of journalism and writing all these cliches--if you;ve never heard of Mervin Block--search his name and trust me a lot of things about the media will be exposed like the overuse of so many cliches, you'd think news people were writing a bad Hollywood script!
I know, you're thinking don't use the disability as a crutch and I assume Walker did not do so--if so good on her. Major problem with me--I BELIEVE IN THIS COUNTRY I am a conservative--even to the right of Limbaugh--yes one might call me a Savage.
