An Atlanta judge on Friday sentenced a child molester to life imprisonment for the sexual assault of two children.
However, during sentencing, Superior Court Judge Craig Schwall reserved his harshest criticism for the mother who allowed it to happen.
The following video of a WSB-TV report on the matter contains some possibly offensive language as it included specifics of the crimes committed by the assailant (extremely grateful h/t to our dear friend Ms Underestimated).
Regardless, it is well worth the time to see a judge say what every right-thinking person would want to tell this mother if given the chance.
In reality, his tongue-lashing should have been national news, for it properly pinned responsibility for these heinous acts on a mother who was too busy with her own social life to be home protecting her children.
In an era when we are continually being told by the left and their media minions how bigger government can solve all the nation’s woes, and that crimes are often a product of circumstance, it is indeed refreshing to see a judge hit the nail on the head.
Alas, a Google News search of his name produced no results.
Not one.
By contrast, the now fraudulent Duke lacrosse rape case was national news for months.
Anyone care to venture a guess as to the difference, or would that be too politically incorrect?

Gee, Noel, I'm feeling pretty brave at the moment, so I'll take a stab at it.
It wouldn't be due to the fact that the two perpetrators in this hideous affair don't reflect enough light to be noticed by the PC-infected national media, would it? :-)
While this disqusting story wasn't picked up by the national media, it was huge around here. WSB Radio repeatedly ran the audio of Judge Schwall's admonition to that monster who calls herself a mother. I first heard it as I was pulling into a parking space at the local Publix.
It made me want to get out of the car and cheer!
It was even more surprising given that Judge Schwall is a Fulton County judge, who, as a group, aren't exactly known for upholding law & order around here.

May 26, 2007 - 15:26 ET by Ran56In 1987 I was on a team that raided a second story home used to sell drugs. Inside, we arrested the dealer but in the back bedroom we found a retarded girl, middle to late teens tied to a bed, she had been molested terribly by this guy. Her "Mother" was in another room, loaded, and passed out. She was "trading" her daughter for drugs. The man admitted everything!.. saying nothing would happen to him because the mother wouldn't press charges. At the top of the stairs, I pushed, I got a 90 day "Vacation" and was required to take "Anger management" classes. he was in the hospital for 4 months. I regret nothing.

May 26, 2007 - 16:24 ET by Amanda Justiceheh... love it, Ran. I've seen similar things happen, and gee, suddenly my attention was distracted. I, too, regret nothing; especially when it comes to children.

Thank you judge.
So sad that the world and departments aren't made up of more of you, rather than the reverse.
I mean that with all my heart more than you know.
Her children..
May 26, 2007 - 16:26 ET by Amanda Justicebotg, didn't you hear the reporter Dale Cardwell at the end there say that as of the moment he was reporting, her children were still with her? Here in GA, our DFACS dept. is not known for its competence.

May 26, 2007 - 16:31 ET by botgAs motherbelt posted the files were transfered. Unfortunately a system which would have immediate response would also be prone to mis-use. Can you see children removed from homes by lib 'educators' because the parents parent (discipline) their children?

May 26, 2007 - 16:41 ET by Ran56LOL.. interesting sidenote, yes.. my partners were "Distracted".. never saw a thing. Also, before my suspension even started, a "kitty" was put together to help myself and my wife, even THE Captain kicked in!.. Oh.. and my 1st month?.. "Scheduled" Vacation time..*S*, funny how those things work out, on top of a "killer" overtime schedule afforded me weeks before everything kicked in.

May 26, 2007 - 19:06 ET by Sonny LykosAs far as I'm concerned, Ran, you are one big hero. I can only hope and pray that more like you exist in our various police departments. I had heard similar stories from my wife's cousin (we're from chicago like her) who married a now retired Captain, who had the same philosophy as yours. And as he told us, they tried to not have as a partner, one of the then newly minted police woman civil right's activist who were more concerned with the "rights" of the perp. because her presence stopped them from doing what should have been done i these cases.
A White judge humiliated this
May 26, 2007 - 19:46 ET by MikeBA White judge humiliated this poor, Black woman, a victim of her environment and of the inherent racism she experienced in America... my hands! My hands! I can't even type such arrant nonsense without my hands giving me pain.
But, I fully expect Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to run squeeling down there and initiate a circus to get this judge thrown off the bench for telling the truth to this ... person. It is a shame that the judge could not sentence this "mother" to the same punishment as the "man" who molested these kids. She fully deserves to have her children taken away, and be forced to undergo sterilization, so she can never be so stupid ever again.
