Editor's Note (Ken Shepherd): The 9/11 conspiracy nuts behind "Loose Change" are supposed to be guests on the May 24 "The View." It's odd that Rosie wouldn't be on to share her thoughts about fire being unable to melt steel.
After Rosie O'Donnell's now infamous fight with Elisabeth Hasselbeck on the May 23 edition of "The View," Rosie hinted on her blog that she may not co-host the show tomorrow. The homepage of rosie.com starts with a rambling poem ending with, "tomorrow [Rosie's partner] Kelli turns 40. I will not be at work."
The question and answer page contains a few anti-Elisabeth commentors that Rosie either does not respond to or implicitly endorses. Rosie filters her questions and selects which ones she wants to put up. A few select ones are below. Note that the commenters and Rosie use text/instant message style formats.
Frank:I have learned to appreciate EH because of your friendly interaction with her. However, her refusal to support you over FOX’s characterization of you, changed my mind about her.
Rosie: [No response]
Amy: It seems some can’t see the real EH. And for her to not answer yes or no?! It’s clear who your friends are.

Donna: Ro- my heart hurts for you right now. EH not much of a friend. Glad you have true friends & know the difference. Today she was mean spirited & that is saying something about her. Glad 4 U 2 B out
Rosie: i am glad 2 b out 2
Angela: What is wrong with EH. I was yelling at my TV today, she cant be serious. I agree with you 100%. answer the question - yes or no! Not that hard. Keep on rocking, peace - a true fan
Rosie: not hard at all
Sharon476: elizabeth’s POV is ALWAYS on the airways, 24 hr a day. yours isn’t. we need to see/hear you. please stay on broadcast tv/andor/cable. btw, EH’s claim to fame? is? what? right wing tool?
Rosie: [No response]
Amanda: Hi Rosie, I dont understand EH at all now. I know I wont be watching the View after you are gone. And for EH to bring up D.Trump on the show today, what was she thinking?. I dont enjoy her at all now
Rosie: i do not know
Marie: If you re-watched a prior show Eliz said in res. to ur question..”Do you are troops are terrorists” SHE planted that in the media. And won’t admit it. I hope you get a new show. I can’t watch View.

It's funny they make no mention of how Wosie has maligned, lied about, ranted and raved, shot off her big fat mouth, and spewed hatred toward the President, Christians, our troops, et al - and these brain-dead, twice-dead, plucked-up-by-the-roots, left-coast, bleeding-heart, 'do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do' liberals kiss her fat butt like someone died and made her queen!

May 23, 2007 - 19:49 ET by Mr. BishopMaybe you should research what an accelerant is. When you're done with that, research what equipment was located on the floors in question, and what temperature they burn at, as well as how hot they can get when they are burning. When you're finished with that, research what temperature steel BENDS at. There is a world of difference, by the way (for your limited brain capacity), between melting, and bending. Once steel begins to bend, due to heat, it will allow for the collapsing of the steel girders in place. Once that happens, the sheer weight of the levels above the several floors of weakness, will cause the entirety of the building to begin to collapse under the pressure and weight.
You've already been told this before ToiletPaper... you just choose to ignore it because it proves your conspiracy theory false.

Look up the temp that will weaken steel enough to cause catastrophic failure under the additional load of a 757. Also the buildings support system included the exterior walls which were breached by the plane "not flown" by Muslim extremists.

Haha. Seriously though. You guys sound like your reading straight out of the PM handbook for those who can't think for themselves. Show me ANYONE that has done scientific research into how the towers collapsed AFTER the initial point of collapse (in other words, once the building started to fall, show me the evidence to prove it would have kept falling and would not have been stopped by the other 90% of the building). Oh wait, NO ONE HAS DONE THAT. Not even your beloved NIST. They stopped after point of initiation. Hmm, wonder why? Oh yea, probably because the building wouldn't have collapsed in 10 seconds if it were a normal collapse.
And to whoever said buildings are demolished from the bottom up, you would be right if you are talking about a conventional demolition (such as WTC 7 which was a classic bottom up demo). However, when you have two 100 storey buildings, it's quite a different scenario.

...for making conspiracy theorists look even more ridiculous.
Plane hits building. Causes massive explosion and fire. Weakens steel. Top of building collapses. Steel can't hold weight and pressure from falling structure. Collapses. Shock and vibration from collapse weakens other nearby buildings.
Meanwhile, no demolition crews spotted entering any buildings to cause a collapse, despite tremendous proliferation of cameras in that area that day.
It's really not that hard of a concept.

Crack?
May 24, 2007 - 11:26 ET by Mr. BishopAre you on crack? Really? I mean, you ask for one scientific research, but you are ignoring all the scientific evidence showing how the towers collapsed under their own weight on 9-11 in favor of an unproven, wild-eyed conspiracy theory? It took longer then 10 seconds for the buildings to collapse. It took almost an hour for the steel to get hot enough to bend.
The only person here, trying to function on illogical ideas, has been you. You can't disregard steel bending, thus allowing the entirety of the structure to collapse, from the top down. Yet somehow, you manage to simply ignore it because it doesn't sit in with your conspiracy crackpot theory. We've all shown you this information. We've helped you in every way possible to see that your idea is ludicrous, yet you still want to ignore it. You're living in a dreamworld ToiletPaper. You need to come back to reality.
However, in answer to your question about showing a scientific study... blah blah blah. At what point, do you plan on convincing someone to actually fly a 767 into a 100 story building, built exactly like the WTC, to prove you wrong? Good luck finding that. In the meantime, I'll stick with reality, and what happened... planes-crash-fire-bend/melt-collapse. Can't do any better then that, since that is the proven method of what happened.

May 24, 2007 - 12:57 ET by bassndudeTP..compute this, a man weighing 150 lbs, falls 10 feet, he impacts with 1500 pounds per foot. Now, say a building floor is constructed to carry a dynamic load of, say, 100,000 pounds max safe load. Ok? Now suppose the floor above is built the same way. The floor its self weighs some 100,000 pounds and there is another 100,000 pounds on the load of the upper floor. One floor fails and falls on they one below. It falls 10 feet, to keep is simple. There you have 200,000 pounds falling on the floor that was designed to carry only 100,000 pounds. Question, what happens to the floor below the one that falls and why?

May 24, 2007 - 12:46 ET by bassndudeTP, in reality, steel cuts at about 2500 degrees F. Thats about the temp of an acy oxy torch set up. It readly cuts all ferrous steels. Steel begins to weaken at about 300 degrees F. Most steels will fail under a moderate load around 600 degrees F. Oxygen aids combustion, and raises the temp of a fire. The wind tunnel effect would have provided enough oxygen to raise the temp considerably, maybe as much as 1000 degrees. At any rate, once the temp of the steel reached a temp of 800 degrees, welds would have begain to fail, connections and bolts and beams on span would have weakened to the point that they could not support themselves, let alone any weight. Steel dosent have to melt to fail, it just needs to get hot enough. And that is way below 2500 degrees. I have told you this before. Guess it dident sink in. Crome molly steel will retain most of its strength up to about 800 degrees. But it is only used in pipe and is much to brittle for structures.

USA4freedom, Behar wasn't trying to shut Hasselback up. She was trying to end the embarassing scene by appealing to the only rational participant.

May 24, 2007 - 09:12 ET by jpatchLeon, please, enlighten us to what magical logic Rosie uses to blame the U.S. for 9/11, to call our soldiers terrorists, to assert that fire can't melt steel, and to assert that terrorists are mothers and fathers, and are just misunderstood. I'm guessing that it's probably the same logic that you use when you post here. Go find Rosie and play with here, we don't want you here. You're a traitor if you're defending Rosie's "logic" and her claims.

The wind that you heard was going through your cavernous, yet unbelievably thick skull.
You and Balboa exemplify liberalism perfectly...no matter what the topic is, you have to add something that is contradictory to the truth, or just plain stupid. I think that your last comment is a little bit of both. Good start to the day for a liberal!!

May 24, 2007 - 10:06 ET by LeonWhoa buddy. Didn't realize you were so sensitive about Hasselback. Do you have her poster hanging above your bed or something?
Rosie and Hasselback are by far the two most annoying talking heads on television. Neither of them have any clue what they are talking about and they're shouting cuts into my brain.
The world would be a better place without both of them

May 24, 2007 - 10:39 ET by jpatchNo, Leon, here on NB's, we're sensitive to ignorance, idiocy, dishonesty and half-truths. But since you are who you are, I'm sure you've already got a PhD in all of those disciplines.
I'll reiterate: You are a traitor and an enemy of the United States if you defend Rosie's "logic", beliefs or comments. You're just like her...you even do the same, "I support our troops" thing that she does, when you preface your comment with, "don't get me wrong, I hate Rosie, but she does have a point about [insert unfounded, ignorant treasonous claim here]"
We're Americans here, so take your Bill Maher wanna-be as* elsewhere...

May 24, 2007 - 11:10 ET by jpatchNo, leon, unfortunately for me, I read all of your horrible posts, and they go a little something like this...
"don't get me wrong, I hate Rosie, but I could hear the wind blowing through hasselbeck's cavernous skull as she tried to form some semblance of an argument..." so right off of the bat, you jump into this conversation trying to tear-down the only woman on the show that stands up for most of our American ideals and beliefs, and you also used the Rosie tactic, that is, "I support our troops...but they are terrorists"..."trust me, I hate Rosie, but she has a point..."
then, you go on to do the same thing over again, "even as distorted/twisted Rosie might be, she does follow some form of bizarre logic...but hasselbeck is completely braindead" so again, you pretend to insult Rosie, but you defend her apparent adherence to some form of "logic", while again trying to undermine elizabeth, the only person who's trying to use REAL LOGIC AND REAL FACTS TO DISPUTE A LYING IGNORANT BLOWHARD
then you go on to just say that the world would be a better place without the both of them...um, excuse me sir, but why is elizabeth someone that we want to do away with? she's not a bullying mindless zombie of Soros and the DNC, she is actually trying to defend her beliefs with facts, something that is foreign to most liberals. you try to put elizabeth on the same level as that lying treasonous swine.
I know you think you're clever and insightful, but you're just as bad as Rosie. you adhere to the same brand of twisted, bizarre "logic" that she does.

May 24, 2007 - 11:57 ET by Leonjpatch, you used a lot of words to say nothing. It's quite an impressive skill actually. You should consider being a campaign speech writer.
I never defended Rosie. Again, you are missing the point. Rosie's arguments are insane. But they do follow a logical path, albeit insane. Rosie has an irrational hatred of W, which leads her to blame everything on him, and to think America is evil. This is way out there wacky, but it does follow a logical path. Hate bush = distrust of all things America = insane conspiracy theories. There is thought involved, despite the fact it's disturbing thought. Furthermore, these thoughts were actually created in Rosie's big fat head.
On the other hand, Hasselback reminds me more of a parrot, simply repeating talking points/key words without any real explanation. She is every girl in High School that I knew whose father's basically told them what they should believe, but not why. So when they got into a debate, it was more like regurgitation than actual thought. Hasselback might as well have a draw string hanging out her back, which when pulled elicits any of a number of canned kool aid style remarks without any substance.
Neither of these two clowns have ever used a fact in their life. To say so is completely wrong. They're both morons, just b/c Elizabeth supports your beliefs doesn't make her any less worthless.

May 24, 2007 - 12:32 ET by Jack BauerLogic is the application of reason conducted to strict principles of validity.
Insanity is a state of mind which prevents normal perception, and or any action caused by madness.
Insane logic is an oxymoron. The insane cannot be logical as the two states are polar opposites.
This is a common mistake people make -- rather like claiming they are putting in '150% effort'.
While this sounds plausible (as does insane logic), it is, in fact, meaningless, because 100% is everything. So how can one give more than everything? The same as the insane cannot be logical. They're frackin' insane.
Thank you, I'll take your ope
May 24, 2007 - 12:39 ET by jpatchThank you, I'll take your opening words as a compliment..
But I think that your assessment of Elizabeth being a talking points puppet is wrong; regurgitating talking points is EXACTLY HOW ROSIE BEHAVES!! I mean, she basically gets her "news" directly from Media Matters. I saw it the other day..."did you know Bill O'Reilly insults someone every 6.8 seconds?" Too bad that George Soros had paid Indiana U $5 million to do that study, which included the words "liberal", "conservative', "centrist", and about 15 other words that are NOT insults...Rosie is the puppet, not Elizabeth.
You're right, though, that Rosie has an irrational hatred of W, although her hatred doesn't end there...it extends to Cheney, to Rumsfeld, to Rove, to our Troops, to our country, and so on, and so on...but back the bigger picture...
I'm sure you've heard of BDS. It wouldn't be a problem at all if Rosie O'Donnell was the sole sufferer of this epidemic, but it has been institutionalized within the democratic party now. We have people that want to be in the White House afraid to debate on Fox (only the most professional news outfit in our country), calling the war an "ideological doctrine", and a "bumpersticker slogan."
Rosie is just the most unscrupulous, ignorant and obvious victim of BDS, but her symptoms tell us that this illness is widespread; and such a blind hatred without facts or logic is exactly how facism takes it roots, and it is the tool that radical Muslims use to justify their actions and to create further generations of blind, malevolent killers. Please, help us defend this country and it's ideals, it's not too late.
