(Update below fold)
Rosie cited yet another conspiracy on the May 22 edition of "The View," this one of the Michael Moore variety. The co-hosts of the ladies’ chat show discussed Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards and his extravagant lifestyle. Joy Behar stated that she would rather have someone who earned their way up there than inherit it, like the Bush family. Rosie responded likewise implying there is a connection between the Bush family and the September 11 hijackers.
ROSIE O’DONNELL: Where did they make that money?
JOY BEHAR: I’m not sure where they made the money.
O’DONNELL: Oil, yes, deals with the Saudis. 19 of the hijackers were Saudis.
[laughter]
Video (0:25): Real (675 kB) or Windows (756 kB), plus MP3 (336 kB).
Besides the loony conspiracy theory, Rosie once again got her facts wrong. 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudi, along with two Emirates, one Lebanese, and one Egyptian. But facts don’t matter in Rosie’s world.
Update/Related blog (Ken Shepherd | 17:08 EDT):
Ian at Hot Air weighs in:
But hey, let’s acknowledge a little progress here: Rosie at least believes that hijackers were somehow involved in 9-11. Now let’s get her to lay out how you can have 19 hijackers plus the Bush administration plus Rudy Giuliani and whoever helped him (shipping WTC steel to China before it can be checked for explosives, er, except the pool of molten steel found in the basement of WTC 7, er, and the whole thing about fire not being able to melt steel, er, and the steel that that one guy did test and found thermite on), without anyone coming clean on the whole thing by now.

Well it's nice to know that Joy admires someone who made his money by

It is rumoured that she wears ear plugs so that when she turns her head the light doesnt shine through. This woman is excellent material for a Dem presidential campaigner. You can bet the person she stumps for will have a harder time of winning.

From the NY Post:
I suppose that this is off limits to Rosie, as well?
And compliments of Laura Ingraham, quoting from USA Today, on May 14, 2002:
My goodness, Rosie, did Bill Clinton have a closer relationship with the Saudi's than did George Bush?

Tue, 05/22/2007 - 13:51 ET by Gary HallActually, Clinton did volunteer his view. He was so in favor of it, that Rep. Peter King of NY suggested that Clinton be sent to broker the deal. The MSM was opposed to it, so as usually the case:
When they agree with Clinton (or anyone they like) they all scramble to get that view out. When they don't agree with Clinton (or anyone else they like) they just sorta ingore it.

I didn't believe it until I researched it myself.

But look at why they may have done so. Excerpt from that article:
Perhaps as a result, the Saudi donations to the Clinton library are raising some eyebrows. Mr. [Craig] Unger said he suspects that the Saudi support may have something to do with a possible presidential bid by Senator Clinton in 2008.
"They want to keep their options open no matter who's in power and whether that's four years from now or whatever," the author said. "Just a few million is nothing to them to keep their options open."

Tue, 05/22/2007 - 16:08 ET by jpatchRosie is a traitor. Same with Bill Maher. I was having a discussion earlier with Sergeant someone about re-defining what it means to commit treason in this country, because they should both be tried on those counts.
I was home from work yesterday, and was lucky enough to catch an episode of the View, and God as my witness, this woman is an enemy of the United States, plain and simple.
Rosie and Bill Maher need to be embedded with the troops in Iraq to see whats up, this stuff that they say is too sick and too disrespectful to continue without consequences.
