Set your TiVo to CNN Headline News at 9 p.m. EDT tonight. NewsBusters senior editor/MRC director of media analysis Tim Graham will be on the "Glenn Beck" program to discuss how PBS is politicizing a documentary about World War II.
The controversy centers around how documentary producer Ken Burns and PBS have dealt with pressure from activist groups to include more footage on Hispanic Americans' contributions to the war effort.

I don't watch PBS, and I wish
May 7, 2007 - 18:45 ET by ThisnThatI don't watch PBS, and I wish they would stop using my tax dollars. Having said that, though, if I were to watch this particular documentary, I certainly would not be interested in "Hispanic Americans' contributions to the war effort". Nor Irish. Or Black. Or anything in between. Just shut up!
BTW, what are the "Hispanic Americans'" current contributions to the War on Terror? Specifically, what have they done in Iraq or Afghanastan? Are they currently making a documentary on this? Do they have a blog? Are they out in force protecting our borders? Are they mounting a campaign against hypocrisy and political correctness (ie., are they trying to shoot down the term "Undocumented worker")? Is the so-called congression Hispanic caucus doing anything? Rather than trying to force people to falsely put Hispanics on a pedestal, why don't they start, first, obeying the laws of the USA?
Every year in August I await
May 7, 2007 - 22:11 ET by ahusserEvery year in August I await the onslaught of liberal hand wringing over the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. News articles and protests at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum (Sterling Va) are becoming eternal verities of August. Of course logic and reason in this matter is lacking from the news outlets and the lefties on the protest line.
Concerning Ken Burns his documentaries are excellently done and meticulously researched but have a definite liberal bent which overall you have to overlook (if you can) if you want to watch it and are of the conservative persuasion. Liberals continually try to judge the past (especially American history) according to 21st century sensibilities, mores and customs usually condemning our ancestors forefathers as bigots, racists, warmongering monsters and ignoramuses.
