After stating on the air that the death of a conservative talk show host's mother in a tragic fire was "the vengeance of God", you would think that liberal talker Michael McGee would be apologizing in an attempt to keep his job.
Wrong.
He has merely stepped up his ridiculous attacks. In his recent followup interview with the local Fox 6 news, he compared Charlie Sykes to Satan and Hitler and then said the only thing that he regretted was that “his stringy haired ho son wasn’t layin’ there with her” when Katherine Sykes died in a tragic fire.
Does he still have his job? As of right now, he is just suspended. Where is the national media outcry?

Where's Al Sharpton to jump
May 6, 2007 - 20:28 ET by GregEWhere's Al Sharpton to jump all over this one? (right!) Let's see, what if this fire happened to McGee's mother and Charlie Sykes had said it. We all know if that was the case, the words would be racial and the hammer would be falling fast, and be held in the hands of Sharpton and J. Jackson. Double standard.

Damn.
Psalms 5:9
For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulcher; they flatter with their tongue.
Romans 3:13-18
(13) Their throat is an open sepulcher; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
(14) Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
(15) Their feet are swift to shed blood:
(16) Destruction and misery are in their ways:
(17) And the way of peace have they not known:
(18) There is no fear of God before their eyes.

May 6, 2007 - 23:05 ET by OIFveteranOh joy! Another sermon. This is the best church ever. Wait, what...it isn't a church?
I come to newsbusters to read about liberal bias. Not to be preached to in every other posting. The only reason I didn't pm you this is because I'm sure that I'm not the only one who feels this way.
If the thread is about religion, fine, no big deal. But not everything is about religion, and not everyone here worships the same god, yes god (not God), you do or in the same manner.
Instead of quoting phrases from the bible, you could have just said that the guy was a jerk and made a better point.

May 7, 2007 - 05:14 ET by ArchConservativeJust like everything else, you don't have to read something if you don't want to. If you feel a "sermon" coming on, just skip to the next comment. At least NewsBusters, unlike the HuffPost or Daily(lost)Kos, doesn't advocate hate, death or vile speech. I'd rather see posts with quotes from scripture (even though I'm Jewish) than have to choke down the bile that is those other online pubs.

May 7, 2007 - 05:10 ET by ArchConservativeJust when you think that things might be turning our way, something like this happens and it makes you become more vigiliant about your beliefs and how you should stand up and fight for them at every opportunity. Because G-d knows that the media, the Left, and Democrats (and sadly some (r)epublicans) won't. Those in Wisconsin need to get this guy off the airwaves. Imus him, so to speak.

May 7, 2007 - 06:08 ET by old croI hears tell that fibber mc gee(/clinton accent) is mad at Sykes for exposing his son the alderman or something of having an affair or such while in office. He is using the clintonista defence of sex doesn't matter. Well having an affair while in office is a "character" issue, and it does matter mc gee. I would like to hear more on just how and over what this fued got started. I am sure mc gee's "feelings" were hurt over Sykes shining light on his son's malfeasance while on the public dole, but even I could be wrong :-)

May 7, 2007 - 11:58 ET by Heather RadishIt was a little more sordid than Clinton; McGee Jr. threatened to kill his pregnant mistress during a paternity hearing and Sykes mentioned it on his show. I believe Sykes also supported the recent petitions to have Jr recalled as an alderman.
Badger Blogger has a good round-up here. The comments from McGee supporters are...interesting. Especially since this week the local paper is running a series about how they can't figure out why kids in Milwaukee Public Schools are so violent all of a sudden.

Let's do a little comparison
May 7, 2007 - 07:45 ET by BeowulfLet's do a little comparison between Imus and McGee and see if there is some reason McGee would get a pass:
Both are Liberals
Imus made "racial" remarks about black women
Mcgee makes hienous comments about the death of Sykes mother and wishes he too had died in the same painful manner
Imus is white
McGee is black
Never mind...
