Where is the outrage? Only one small local media outlet, Channel 12, and a number of blogs (Badger Blogger, Marquette Warrior, Michelle Malkin and Gop3.com) have covered it. If this story was reversed, and a conservative said this about McGee's mother, the entire national media along with Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be on the scene. The article on Channel 12 has indicated that McGee's next show will not air but subsequent shows are not in jeopardy yet. Without public outcry, this type of double standard will continue.

Sometimes, it doesn't take an offensive comment at all, as long as a comment can misinterpreted and called offensive. If you have not heard WTMJ morning host Charlie Sykes, he is a very popular radio host. I listen to him when I get a chance - I'm down in the Chicago suburbs. Sykes and McGee have had their disagreements going on for a while - but my gosh - McGee has throughly planted his foot up some part of his body with this one. Now I could be wrong, but I would be very surprised if McGee is found anywhere near a microphone anytime soon.

He sounded like he was totally stoned.
I asked him what he was going to do about this outrageous comments and he said the "appropriate action" would be taken Monday but refused to comment further.
If you have unlimited dialing, you should call this number just to hear what's running the show there. You won't be disappointed.

The Left all too often gets away with this kind of irresponsible and hateful speech and are never called to account for their egregious behavior. How many times has Huff-n-Puff been closed down due to hate speech from the Left directed at the Right? Two that I know about. And that's two times too many.
The Left demands personal responsibility from the Right, and we concur, but The Left (and the Right) holding the Left to the same standards seems to be a pipe dream. Why? Descend upon this liberal talk show host Michael McGee, Sr., and hold him (and those like him) stunningly accountable.

After reading throught the comments, I've just called and spoken with Mr Jones at the number provided by NewsBusters.org member PShannon.
Mr Jones, while not Mr McGee's employer (Mr McGee barters for his time at the station) agrees that Mr McGee's behavior was "disgusting, hateful, unprofessional, and uncalled for"; Mr Jones also reminded me Mr McGee is protected by the 4th Amendment despite the hateful content of his opinion (and briefly discussed the situation with Don Imus), and Mr Jones made very plain to me he does not defend Mr McGee's comments (opinion) in any way.
Mr Jones will be having a meeting with Mr McGee at 10:30 tomorrow morning to discuss the matter.
I'm sure we will all be looking forward to the outcome of that very important meeting.
