Conservatives need a civilized riot of our own where we get to burn effigies, and flags too.
Arafat (let's dig him up and kill him again). Palestinian flags. Iranians flags. Let's have a big bonfire.

March 30, 2007 - 20:43 ET by motherbeltLaura Ingraham wouldn't waste her time on this drivel. The clips I've seen (I don't watch the show) increasingly remind me of the "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" segment featuring Colin Mochrie as the Director. He regularly berates the others acting out the scene with lines like (pointing): You---crap! You----crap! You---your performance didn't even rise to the level of crap!

She is evidence that the left has actually become the parody we've always made of it. It's getting harder and harder to make fun of these people because they've become a satire of themselves.
It amazes me that ABC executives aren't embarrassed to put her on the air.

I believe that Rosie is perpetrating a campaign of sedition against the United States government with her comments on the View and on her blog. I do not believe that people should be watching that show anymore or supporting the advertisers who sponsor that show.

You are absolutely right. I don't watch this drivel, but I have seen and heard enough about Rosie and the View to be hopping mad. I have reluctantly looked at her blog as well.
Since I refuse to turn to that channel, can anyone supply us with a list of the advertisers supporting this abomination?

March 30, 2007 - 20:52 ET by dahliatraversRosie. You're too smart to be saying this stuff.
Look, sure, we don't know for sure what was going on on March 23 in the straits between Iraq and Iran. Maybe the British boat was doing something stupid, though with satelite technology and fly over drones, it doesn't seem likely the Brits would use a small boat to spy.
Great Britain has offered proof (presumably, Loran positioning readings - do I sound real sailorly saying that??) that their boat and the 15 sailors was not in Iranian waters. Certainly this would be helpful. Iran has so far refused to look at this evidence.
Now why would that be? Would it be inconvenient to the Mullahs if it were proven that the boat was not in Iranian waters? Could there be other reasons they took the British sailors? Are they looking for a hostage swap for the five Iranians who were taken into custody in Iraq in January? Are they annoyed that one of their top generals defected? ARE THE MULLAHS PERHAPS WAGGING THE DOG to distract from the serious internal dissent and dissatisfaction that has been brewing amoung its citizens over the failure of the Islamic revolution?
What a lot of people don't know is, Iranians are the most pro-US/pro-West people in the Middle East. Below are two articles about Iran, its people and government. It is ruled by a repressive dictatorship with no justice system as we know it that inflicts barbaric forms of official punishment on its people.
The thing is, Rosie, when you say things like, this was a false flag operation (you may want to look that up, by the way, before using it again), it's Gulf of Tonkin (... um, ditto), you believe Ahmadinijad over Great Britain, it's not just that you are taking sides against Great Britain and the United States.
You are taking the side of a dictator against his beleaguered people. Is this really where you stand?

To those who would insist that Baba Wawa or ABC shut Rosie off--to you I say let Rosie continue. I agree with above poster, in that keeping Rosie unleashed and unmugged provides a great service to real Americans. It clarifies and distinguishes the line between clear thinking and complete idiocy, and it's obvious that Rosie sides with dictators and despots over humble people.

No, she's not. Rosie the O is the personification of the saying "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing." She is the aunt that shows up at family dinners and proceeds to tell everyone in the family "what's what" and how they should live their lives. And to top it off, she is willing to give every tinpot dictator the benefit of the doubt while she automatically believes the worst of her own country. I can't believe that people actually watch those mental lightweights and think they are getting an intelligent read on current events.

March 31, 2007 - 03:57 ET by Jack BauerI honestly think she's mentally ill. And she's clearly an intolerable malignant narcissist -- so what else is new with these people.
But as I conservative I really have NO OBJECTION to her making her views known on the View. More power to us
What really pisses me off is that Walters and her bosses shamelessly stack to panel so that there is no real robust conservative refutation to her unhinged rants. No point is criticizing Hassel beck for not being what we want her tobe.
So O'Donut gets away, unchallenenged in the main, with easily refutable opinions time after time. In a way she encapsulates the bigger picture in the relationship conservatives have with BIG MEDIA.
We just want a fair shake, but they are determined never to allow that happen. I think that's why we get so frustrated with the continuing O'Donnell crap.
Not because she has the perfect right to make an ass of herself, but that there is no one to shout HER down, as she does to others.
Profoundly Disturbed
March 31, 2007 - 08:11 ET by allanfGood points.
Rosie is angry, petulant and appears unhinged. She does not use reasoned arguments, she blusters and bullies. Barbara Walters is remote and removed as she tries to shield herself unsuccessfully from the fallout from Rosies rants. Joy Behar is a gun moll type enabler who follows Rosie because she is the strongest thing there. Hasselbeck is sweet an clearly not the person to stand up to Rosie.
So what you end up with is the Rosie Show. If there are enough ladies angry and vacuous enough to enjoy the rants of a clearly disturbed woman the show will continue to do well.
What's next for ABC. How about allowing liberals to vent their anger by throwing pies at conservatives? Call it "Pie the Pig" The View is at that level now.

Good article, Guy. Excerpt
March 31, 2007 - 13:17 ET by dahliatraversGood article, Guy. Excerpt which supports the Building 7 conspiracy ( ... no, wait, it does the opposite. Darn.):
Tower 7 housed the city’s emergency command center, so there were a number of fuel tanks located throughout the building—including two 6000-gal. tanks in the basement that fed some generators in the building by pressurized lines. “Our working hypothesis is that this pressurized line was supplying fuel [to the fire] for a long period of time,” according to Sunder. Steel melts at about 2,750 degrees Fahrenheit—but it loses strength at temperatures as low as 400 F. When temperatures break 1000 degrees F, steel loses nearly 50 percent of its strength. It is unknown what temperatures were reached inside WTC7, but fires in the building raged for seven hours before the collapse.
