The co-hosts of "The View" again discussed the Iranian British hostage situation on the March 29 edition. Rosie O’Donnell trusted the Iranians more than the British and Americans, and the discussion evolved into more Rosie rants against alleged Bush administration tyranny and for the first time on "The View," Rosie ranted on her September 11 conspiracy theories. Rosie’s rants were too much even for fringe liberal Joy Behar. Token non-liberal Elisabeth Hasselbeck was far more assertive than the previous day. In the teaser at the end of the first segment, Rosie and Joy made light of the upcoming discussion.
ROSIE O’DONNELL: Alright we’re going to take a break and come back and talk about the situation in Iran with the soldiers, the British soldiers who were in international waters. The British say they were in the right waters and the Iranians say no they were in our waters, and so it begins.
JOY BEHAR: Do you think people are now clicking us off because you promoed that?
O’DONNELL: Well, I don’t know, but we're going to talk about it and I'm sure it will make the news.
Rosie exclaimed what is certainly news to Iran, that the entire world is siding with Iran as opposed to Britain and the United States.
O’DONNELL: Here’s the problem with what you just said, "us," because it's now Britain and the United States pretty much against the rest of the world. How did this happen?
Rosie, always concerned about the humanity of terrorists, brought that up again.
O’DONNELL: It's just it’s very hard in America when anyone from the mid-east has been so demonized that no matter what, it's impossible for some people to believe that the Iranians in any way could ever do anything ethical in any capacity. They are not people. They have somehow been dehumanized to the point where they’re not people who they’re just the enemy, the terrorists.
With the aide of guest co-host Marcia Gay Harden, Rosie continued on that theme, but that was too much even for her ideological ally, Joy Behar.
MARCIA GAY HARDEN: That digresses from what the real issues are. You worded a war on terror, personally that is propaganda.
O’DONNELL: Exactly, Marcia. Thank you.
HARDEN: I don't like the wording of it.
O’DONNELL: Right, because it makes people into evil and good.
BEHAR: This guy Amanidajaja (sic), whatever his name is. He is a bad guy, he is a very bad guy. He stated explicitly he wants to wipe Israel off the map. This guy is a bad guy.
O’DONNELL: I'm not saying he's a good guy and I want him over for breakfast. No I’m not. I’m saying that in America we are fed propaganda and if you want to know what's happening in the world go outside of the U.S. media because it's owned by four corporations one of them is this one. And you know what, go outside of the country to find out what's going on in our country because it's frightening. It’s frightening.
HASSELBECK: So you think we're being brainwashed as a whole country? I think not. I think it’s a media
O’DONNELL: Democracy is threatened in a way it hasn't been in 200 years and if America doesn't stand up we're in big trouble.
Rosie should do some research on U.S. history. She is apparently unaware of the Alien and Sedition Acts, President Abraham Lincoln suspending Habeas Corpus, the Red Scare immediately after World War I, and the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II.
Rosie for the first time mentioned her September 11 conspiracy theories on "The View." Note that she has "no idea" who attacked us on that tragic day.
HASSELBECK: Do you believe that the government had anything to do with the attack of 9/11? Do you believe in a conspiracy in terms of the attack of 9/11?
O’DONNELL: No. But I do believe the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel. I do believe that it defies physics for the World Trade Center Tower Seven, building seven, which collapsed in on itself, it is impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved, World Trade Center Seven. World Trade Center one and Two got hit by planes. Seven, miraculously, for the first time in history, steel was melted by fire. It is physically impossible.
HASSELBECK: And who do you think is responsible for that?
O’DONNELL: I have no idea. But to say that we don't know it was imploded, that there was implosion in the demolition, is beyond ignorant. Look at the film. Get a physics expert here from Yale, from Harvard. Pick the school. It defies reason.

It goes without saying that Rosie is a buffoon of the highest (or lowest) order, that, we all agree, is a given. She and Joy are like a matching pair of stereo speakers, and Elisabeth's opinions are drowned out routinely. What this show needs is an equal dose of opposing viewpoints for balance, i.e. a fat, obnoxious, overbearing, loudmouthed conservative voice, but these seem to be strictly liberal traits.

But Rosie, shut up about it! If our gov't was involved, then I'm sure they had a very good reason. They probably figured 3000 dead now is better than 30,000,000 later right? But for pete's sake, keep quiet! Americans are gullible and easily led people, but if these "truthers" keep rattling off what really happened, they are putting us at risk! Don't you think our administration knows whats best? Isn't that why we elected them? Look, if WTC7 was really important, PM would have done a more thorough job talking about it, but we all know it's not necessary. Any explanation will do. We just need to support official story a bit. I am proud of PM. That propaganda is going to help our gov't BIG TIME in the war on terror.

Add that to emplacing the demolitions, then sandbagging them for the appropriate directional effect would also we viewed by every hotdog vendor on the street.
Also, in order to get a maximum collapse with minimal explosive force, you have to peel back the supports to bare metal and clear them. Did anyone in the days leading up to 9/11 witness guys carving away walling, concrete, and other outer wall constuction on all support beams?

So what if our eyes, our ears, tell us it appears to be exactly like a controlled demolition. So what if that's the only plausible explanation. We get it already. Tons of evidence, even a caveman can understand it.
So what if the 9/11 Commission report completely ignores it. I mean, look, we can't achieve our goals if people think of WTC7, can we? Of course not.

Okay, let me try this one on
March 29, 2007 - 18:25 ET by BDOkay, let me try this one on you.
In order to make the controlled detonation of such a building, you will need hundreds of yards of Detcord, hundreds of pounds of explosives, and a accurate way to control this detonation. I will fiat for this argument that the nightime Explosives elves rigged the building the nightbefore the attack, then posted "Do not enter" signs on the doors which were obviously followed since no one reported the explosives, nor the walling being removed to allow direct access to the steel members of the building.
Then, you will need to crash a jetliner into the building at the exact same floor in such a way as to not disconnect any of the detcord from the explosives, nor damage the detonation system with the impact, nor detonate the explosives attached to the steel members prematurely.
Then I let the jet fuel burn for fifteen minutes hoping against hope that it does not cause a secondary explosiion, or allow the explosives to burn off at high temperature like C4 and other such exploives will at temperature.
Then, I simply detonate all of it on demand. Boy, them ELVES were busy to keep all that on track.
What can I say, the conspiros have a great deal of "The power of make believe."

March 29, 2007 - 18:28 ET by BDOh, that is right, I forgot the next obvious way to do this in Conspiro minds. When the building was first constructed in 1970, the detcord was prewired and all explosives were cleverly laid in place to LOOK like walling and furniture by George Bush and his cousins because they knew they would need this attack in 2001...
Nope, that does not take into account that the plane directly hit the correct floor and that the resulting fires did not predetonate or secondary burn.

March 29, 2007 - 18:43 ET by FastEdBD, you forget the rest of that conspiricy - Bush isn't smart enough to do this, yet he's smart enough to "hire" the best to pull this off - Chaney and Rove masterminds of black helicopters, CIA hit squads, tax exemptions, etc. And, the first bombing was a test that the detcord didn't predetonate.

He knows 9/11 was an inside job. We know 9/11 was an inside job. But he doesn't know we know 9/11 was an inside job. And if he doesn't know, we know not to tell him we know. But Rosie doesn't know that. She doesn't know that not everyone knows. But those who know have the responsibility to pretend we DON'T know. As an american, if you know it was an inside job, pretend you DON'T know, this way Bush, who knows, can think we don't know, even though we do know. Then his policies will be based on what he thinks we don't know, but we do, but that's ok, because we know he knows best. You know?

March 30, 2007 - 09:33 ET by Sua Sponte 75Failure eh? Obvious you're not here. Our missions our being carried out and very well, and by the way, didn't you handwringers have your panties all in a twist because U.S. personnel were being killed and you were crying how the Iraqis need to take over, NOW you're crying about them taking over and being the targets.......what is it with you clowns? The military and police are finally able to lean forward in the foxhole and take responsiblity in THEIR country and you have an issue with that? You are a complete assclown. And as far as the "failure" part.......kindly POUND SAND.

In all the LIC classes I have ever had, the key to dispersing this type of situation is time and presence.
Naturally, the left is not willing to allow either to occur because they fear militry success.

March 30, 2007 - 09:48 ET by Sua Sponte 75Absolutely, it's the basics, I'd love to know when anything has happened overnight. This guy is an absolute clown and I'm not going to let the "failure" thing pass. The left is always talking smack (notice the 100hrs have passed) and they're still yapping. This one has no clue and just as you stated, fears that we'll be successful, of which we are.

THEN FOLLOW HIM BLINDLY. I
March 29, 2007 - 21:29 ET by BlameTheMediaTHEN FOLLOW HIM BLINDLY. It's your duty as an American Citizen to obey. Stop questioning him, communist liberal traitors.
Okay, this is the thinking that will be the demise of this country. You may have been sarcastic here, but many people believe it. After all, if this country always thought that way, instead of questioning it's government, then we'd be having tea and biscuits instead of lattes.
Questioning the government is how this country began... duh.
You're being played for fools by the terrorists, Blamer
March 29, 2007 - 21:34 ET by RJThe problem is not the President, Blamer. The problem is that you and your comrades are the allies of the terrorists and they know it. They realize that you're invested in the failure of America in this war and they play you like the fools you are.

March 29, 2007 - 21:46 ET by BlameTheMediaYes, that's right RJ, and when Bush bungles things up badly enough you'll need more than the liberals as your scapegoats.
And, give me break with the allies of the terorists crap. You know better. But, after all, what else would you say as a follower and not a thinker?
Losers on the left (that's you blamer) are trying to repeat
March 29, 2007 - 21:54 ET by RJThe only reason we're at the present status is that from the beginning the left in America (that's you, blamer) has been encouraging the terrorists to stick in there. North Viet Nam admitted that they could not have won without the American left and the media. Now, you losers are trying to repeat your "triumph" over victory.
What? That is so ridiculou
March 29, 2007 - 21:59 ET by BlameTheMediaWhat? That is so ridiculous. The war on terror is different than the war in Iraq, no matter how you want justify things. And I'd like to see something that documents that North Viet Nam said that.
Terrorists and Iraqis are two different groups... well, they used to be before we invaded them and left the afgans to the taliban again.

Really Troll, you make this too easy for us sometimes. And did you notice we still have troops in Afghanistan? Obviously not. As far as us creating terrorists in Iraq, Saddam already had plenty of ties as seen below:
Terrorists have been found in Iraq & there were numerous associations between Iraq & terrorists
Bui Tin a former NVA colonel said the antiwar helped NVA
March 29, 2007 - 23:06 ET by Carl KolchakHere is an interview with Bui Tin from the Wall Street Journal conducted by a human right's attorney.
Here is a brief description of him from the link as well as a specific question from the link about the Wall Stree Journal interview.
"Bui Tin, a former colonel in the North Vietnamese army, answers these questions in the following excerpts from an interview conducted by Stephen Young, a Minnesota attorney and human-rights activist. Bui Tin, who served on the general staff of North Vietnam's army, received the unconditional surrender of South Vietnam on April 30, 1975. He later became editor of the People's Daily, the official newspaper of Vietnam. He now lives in Paris, where he immigrated after becoming disillusioned with the fruits of Vietnamese communism.
Q: Was the American antiwar movement important to Hanoi's victory?
A: It was essential to our strategy. Support of the war from our rear was completely secure while the American rear was vulnerable. Every day our leadership would listen to world news over the radio at 9 a.m. to follow the growth of the American antiwar movement. Visits to Hanoi by people like Jane Fonda, and former Attorney General Ramsey Clark and ministers gave us confidence that we should hold on in the face of battlefield reverses. We were elated when Jane Fonda, wearing a red Vietnamese dress, said at a press conference that she was ashamed of American actions in the war and that she would struggle along with us."

GOP kool aid stand
March 29, 2007 - 21:34 ET by BillAdkins"After all, if this country always thought that way, instead of questioning it's government, then we'd be having tea and biscuits instead of lattes" Exactly - and if the Republican Party had been around in 1776 we'd be wearing wigs in court today, too. Never so many kool aid drinkers in one place than at a GOP convention.
I used to think Jimmy Carter was the worst president in history - then along came George W. Bush.
Why the glee, comrade Billy?
March 29, 2007 - 21:45 ET by RJIn spite of your gleeful death list, the surge is showing early signs of working, Billy. But why are you and your comrades so delighted over your belief that it isn't working? I'm sure your delight pleases the terrorists, too.
I used to think we had hit the bottom of the barrel in stupid liberal posters. Then Bill Adkins showed up.
RJ, your stupidity is exceeded only by your stupidity
March 29, 2007 - 21:49 ET by BillAdkinsYou see 'glee' in that list? You are a sick puppy, RJ. It's the stupidity, stupid, of the stuck on stupid president Bush. It's not glee - any more than sounding the alert to another attack might be 'glee.' George W. Bush isn't part of the solution, he's the problem.
