Having gotten myself and others into a spot of bother when I wondered awhile ago whether there might have been some "trickeration" involved in an image appearing on Hillary's campaign website, far be it from me to suggest that there's anything altered in the photo displayed here. It turned up today in a Clinton fundraising email I received. Yes, I'm a duly member-registered member at HillaryClinton.com.But I do believe the photo raises another issue. Chris Matthews recently and repeatedly raised concerns that Bill's failure to "behave" could cause problems for Hillary's campaign. Hillary has now chosen an image making an implicit statement about the nature of her relationship with Bill. Since she has put the matter on the table, will the MSM do anything to verify -- or debunk -- the photo's unstated but unmistakable suggestion?

February 21, 2007 - 13:44 ET by sarcasmoOh, my goodness, thank YOU. (It's political admission-time, "Yes, I've already voted for Dr. Paul for president once, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat" but again, the important thing to me & my fave-journalist Mr. Balko is the quality of the debate this time!) And it's heartening to me, as a Libertarian American patriot, to see that Republicans who may disagree with some/many of Dr. Paul's views care enough about their party to want him in the "debate" anyway. If only the TV news media felt the same way...If I'm making a good-enough case here, maybe the NB blog can shame 'em (or at least Fox News, hell, you guys hired Radley!) into a bit of remedial-coverage to make up for all the Kucinich-airtime? (Yeah, I know, and I have fantasies about Pam Anderson & the rest of the female cast of "Baywatch," too!) But maybe, just maybe, five minutes spent on Dr. Paul instead of Anna Nicole's corpse won't kill them in the ratings-wars...

February 21, 2007 - 13:37 ET by midnight cowboyMy guess is that the picture was photoshopped. I suspect that Bill had his arms around either Monica, Kathleen, Juanita, Jennifer, Paula, and so on, but definatley not Hillary. What red blooded American male would dare embrace her. Bill may be swine, but he has standards. The last time they embraced like that they were probably alot younger. Sometime around 1969.

We all know what pleasures Bill can dream up with inanimate objects. In the contexct of this post lets stay with the female sex, I never said Bill had high standards. If the Hildebeast and Lewinski were the last two females on earth (and of course your required pay and contribution of alcohol had no limit) who would you reluctantly pick. February 24, 2007 - 23:25 ET by emjem24Darn, I missed that one, Dyne. I used to watch a lot of that show when I was in college. Me and a couple buddies would be in the dorm lounge laughin' our asses off. You can apply a lot of what dems and this couple in particular do with MST 3000 quips and zingers. The good old days...sniff, sniff. Is the SciFi Channel showing MST 3000 or any of its other reincarnations anymore? I've got to just suck it up and get 'em on DVD where I can laugh myself silly and my husband can look at me like I've finally lost my marbles. Maybe I have.

February 21, 2007 - 13:51 ET by zhombreJust what the country needs: another Clinton co-Presidency. Which will enable Bill to make a mockery of the 22nd Amendment just as he made a mockery of Presidential pardons by granting one to Marc Rich, and made a mockery of the truth in his grand jury testimony, just as he made a mockery of cigar-smoking, well you know that one. Need I go on? I'm sure other NB'ers could provide other examples. I'd vote for Giuliani or Romney or McCain or Brownback or anybody else the GOP fields against a Hillary nomination. Not Very Convincing
February 24, 2007 - 23:03 ET by emjem24This whole pose isn't very convincing. Are they really trying to convince people they're the height of marital harmony? Look at the body language of these two. Hillary is stiff as a piece of dried up toast with sunglasses on, thinking to herself, "if I have to be embraced by this buffoon one more minute I think my head will explode." What about Bill? Either this is a real photo with Bill looking like he's gonna swallow poor, stiff Shrillary up or he's been photoshopped in. I vote for the photoshop thing. They don't look the least bit happy. Bill O'Reilly and his body language expert would have a field day with this one.

This is a fundraising mailer for Hillary, right? No one is better at raising Democrat money than Bill, which is presumably why they wanted to work him into the picture. But it comes across as quite odd not only because of how stiff Hillary is but also because of the widely known nature of their relationship/"marriage".
