AP story: Man Accused of Helping Terrorists Donated Thousands to Republicans
WASHINGTON — A New York man accused of trying to help terrorists in Afghanistan has donated some $15,000 to the House Republicans' campaign committee over three years.
Abdul Tawala Ibn Ali Alishtari pleaded not guilty Friday in U.S. District Court in Manhattan to charges that include terrorism financing, material support of terrorism and money laundering.
From April 2002 until August 2004, the man also known as "Michael Mixon" gave donations ranging from $500 to $5,000 to the National Republican Congressional Committee, according to Federal Election Commission reports and two campaign donor tracking Web sites, www.politicalmoneyli... and www.opensecrets.org.
Sorry, but this is just too funny for words. These are the same people who can't identify the party affiliation of state senators accused of corruption, or mention that rampaging killers are Muslim. Yet, the headline, the central feature of this accused terrorist is that he contributed to Republican candidates. Might one infer that this is the first such terrorist for whom that is true, and that many other accused and convicted terrorists supported Democrats? Which party did Sami al Arian, CAIR, or Lynne Stewart align themselves with?
I have asked before whether FoxNews posts AP copy without reading it, or if they are joining the so-called MSM. Perhaps FoxNews needs to listen and respond to that question.

AP story on FoxNews
CHICAGO — Two cousins were arrested Wednesday on federal charges of conspiring to wage holy war against Americans overseas, including U.S. military forces in Iraq.
Zubair A. Ahmed, 27, of suburban North Chicago, and Khaleel Ahmed, 26, of Chicago, were indicted by a grand jury in Cleveland. The indictment also brought additional charges against three other men already named in the case.
All three pleaded not guilty. Amawi was also charged with verbally threatening the president...
So, I take it these would be Democrat supporters. I would also guess from the names mentioned that they were all "Irish Catholics" as well. Their etnicity or religious affiliation isn't mentioned in the article.
