To be fair, the divide in the nation pre-dates Bush; it started with the right's hatred towards the previous President (notice I leave out your words "ignorant" and "irrational" when describing the right's anti-Clinton views?).  The right had more basis on which to base their hatred, IMHO, as Slick was, well, SLICK.

As well, the media was responsible for getting Clinton elected in 1992, which they did by totally ignoring the economic recovery that began in March of 1991. And as others here have noted, they went totally around the bend in 2000 when Bush was "appointed", and decided then and there to bash him non-stop. They tried their best to get Kerry elected in 2004, and almost succeeded.

It is because this President is a liar! He deserves every critical remark that comes his way. He has done everything in his power to drive the wedge in this country, all because "god" told him to. His fault and his followers problem.

I anticipate President and Mrs. Bush leaving the White House after his 8 years of service with his head held high and for good reason.  To perform for that length of time while being relentlessly attacked by the likes of you while simultaneously leading the fight of our collective lives takes an especially strong man.  That is something that is way beyond your comprehension.

I wonder how those who stood in bread lines during the Great Depression would feel about that or the thousands who left the Plains states going West during the same time due to the Dust Bowl?
