That's how he does it huh?  Just throws out these little gems with enough context that the guy answering never gets around to addressing the silly 'ethnic cleansing' comment?

I'm not watching '24' tonight, and probably never will.  But I've stopped watching Matthews' show long ago because of absurd statements like his 'ethnic cleansing' label. 

This guy looks and sounds like he is about to have an on air meltdown. He doesn't look very well.

American troops will be shooting at Sunnis, not American troops will be shooting back

at Sunnis. We are the ones starting all the conflicts over there! Those poor Sunnis, such victims.

That is the line for me that put this comment into a special place reserved for the highest scorn. When your natural mind-set is to portray the Sunnis as the victims simply trying to protect themselves from Americans who are helping Shiites ethnically cleanse your neighborhood - you have reached depths that require a swift punch in the face.

In his desperation to face reality, Chris chooses to point accusing fingers at American soldiers for crimes they haven't even committed in a place that they (the troops of the surge) haven't even fully arrived in yet, for missions that don't even exist.

Hmmmm, let's try and define what speculation really means:

If "X" goes to "Y" and does "Z" then since Z is a crime against humanity, and Y should never have happened in the court of MSNBC National Security decision-making, then X are what? They are criminals.

Let's just ignore the fact that just about every Dem in Congress has said the US needs to send in enough resources (read troops) to do the job once set upon into war, that most of the leadership demanded a surge, that most of the leadership has said they'll support it before they were against it...nah, let's just ignore all checking of that power and the lies they told so....what? So MSNBC can blame American troops for crimes against humanity?

Ya know, the "I was following orders" gig doesn't work for such things.

Either Droolboy Matthews thinks the American soldiers are committing crimes against humanity

(is an execusable crime to do so)

Or Droolboy Matthews owes a serious apology to men and women of the armed forces who are committed to success in Iraq, who have not accepted defeat, and who are not committing crimes as Matthews says they will.

Easier to speculate on the criminality of American forces than it is to accept that he was lied to and played as the political pawn (doesn't even rate TOOL level) that he is.

Man, even other Dems are realizing now that they never had a plan, that the "New Direction In Iraq" pledge was a fullout lie-one that Matthews in particular bought hook, line, and sinker.
