ABC Scores Interview With Omar, Yawns at Her History of Anti-Semitism

Good Morning America on Tuesday scored an exclusive interview with Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, allowing the Democrat to hype her new book. Not mentioned at all in the interview? Her history of anti-Semitic remarks as well as other controversies. Shockingly, however, co-host Amy Robach pressed Omar (twice) on the woman accusing Joe Biden of sexual assault.

CNN's John King on Memorial Day: Trump 'Full of Hate,' Biden Is Great

CNN anchor John King demonstrated his network's dramatic double standard toward the current president and his Democratic opponent within a half hour on Memorial Day. President Trump has a Twitter feed "full of hate and spite," and Joe Biden properly wore a mask and has a "strong tie to military families."

NYT Spreads Election Conspiracy: ‘How Far Would Trump Go to Keep Job?'

The feverish conspiracy theories (will Trump cancel the November elections? Will he refuse to accept a loss?) have spread from late-night “comedians” to the august pages of the New York Times, in the form of the lead National section story on Memorial Day. Reporter Reid Epstein began by spouting resistance fan-fiction in “How Far Would Trump Go to Keep Job? Foes Brainstorm Options – Anxiety…

Mitchell Contrasts Trump's 'Awful' Record on Race Issues With Biden's

Appearing as a panelist on Sunday’s edition of Meet the Press, MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell acted more as a Democratic strategist than a journalist. She did her best to do damage control for beleaguered presidential candidate Joe Biden, who stepped in it by telling radio host Charlamagne tha God that “you ain’t black” if you consider voting for President Trump. Mitchell quickly changed the subject by…

Joy Reid Claims Trump Promised to 'Get Rid of These Brown Immigrants'

On Sunday's AM Joy, during a discussion of what presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden should offer to black voters in exchange for their support, race-obsessed MSNBC host Joy Reid twice claimed that President Donald Trump promised white Americans that he would take actions against "brown immigrants." She also suggested that Italy has done a better job of handling the…

Politico Compares Trump Memorial Day Tweets to Patriotic Newspapers

One favorite pastime of the national media is mocking President Trump's tweets as gauche and inappropriate. The people who make the Politico Playbook newsletter played this game on Memorial Day with the president, suggesting all of his tweets should have been respectful tributes to our war dead. Politico contrasted Trump tweeting about Obamagate and "Make America Great Again" with our apparently…

Nasty HBO Comedy: 'F** Donald Trump,’ ‘White People Want to Divide Us’

HBO’s dramedy Insecure has long been known for its focus on race and racism. You’re likely to hear the words “white people” several times per episode, and never in a good way. But Sunday’s episode “Lowkey Trippin’” turned things up a notch by claiming that “white people want to divide us.” And, just for kicks, they also threw in a profane jab at President Trump.

MSNBC Excludes Republicans from Reacting to Biden Race Gaffe

As MSNBC's weekend shows devoted a number of segments to Joe Biden's declaration that "you ain't black" if you're considering voting for Donald Trump over him, the liberal news network lived up to its reputation of being DNCTV as a number of Democrats, but not Republicans, were included in discussions of the presumptive Democratic nominee's gaffe. In particular, the hours hosted by anchor…

Mitchell Trashes Trump 'Endangering Troops' on Memorial Day

On her show Monday, MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell and her Democrat panel used the Memorial Day holiday to attack President Trump “endangering troops” by not wearing a mask, while simultaneously fawning over Joe Biden and daydreaming that he was president instead.

MSNBC Warns: Second Wave Is Coming for ‘Red America’ ‘Trump Voters'

It doesn’t seem that the media has learned anything after they completely mangled their predictions that red states like Florida and Georgia would see catastrophic consequences for opening up early. On MSNBC this afternoon, “conservative” analyst Rick Tyler was ready to make more hyperbolic predictions about red states getting “hit hard” by the coronavirus in coming months. Tyler even used the…

CNN Averaged 4 Minutes Per Day on Biden's Gaffe, Then Stopped Covering

As Fox News noted on Friday, it took CNN 12 hours to cover Biden’s latest gaffe: asserting on a radio show Friday morning that if you aren’t a Biden supporter, “You ain’t black.” That disinterest continued into the weeked; after spending average of less than four minutes per day on the controversy, CNN stopped covering it entirely as of noon EST on Monday, May 25.

FLASHBACK: Using Memorial Day to Trash Trump and Question 'Heroes'

This Memorial Day weekend, the MRC’s FLASHBACK series has already reminded you of MSNBC's Chris Hayes admitting he was “uncomfortable” referring to fallen military members as heroes. But there are other examples of the media using this holiday for their own purposes. On the 2019 Memorial Day edition of Morning Joe, co-host Mika Brzezinski tried (and failed) to get guests to use the day to trash…

Stelter Insists Media Acts in 'Good Faith,' As He Proves He Doesn't

CNN Reliable Sources host Brian Stelter said something fascinating on his show Sunday. He complained to New York Times media columnist Ben Smith that "I don't know how to show folk that journalists are mostly acting in good faith. Here's how a show allegedly focused on journalism fails to show good faith. Stelter had on a writer from The Atlantic to discuss the coronavirus and never whispered a…

CNN Brands President Trump a Hypocrite for Not Attending Church

A president can be an ardent defender of religious freedom without being overtly devout himself. But that didn't stop CNN from branding President Trump a hypocrite for having not attended church this weekend while having recently promoted the re-opening of houses of worship.
