CBS’ Rodriguez ‘Proud’ of Jackson Coverage

  • Bookmark and Share

Maggie Rodriguez wants us to know that she's a real journalist. "If I were to program a show for my viewing pleasure, I would make it all news," she told Howard Kurtz of the Washington Post in a July 13 article. But the host of CBS's "Early Show" also insisted, "I'm not a journalistic snob."

Good thing too, because when you work for a network that dedicated 37 percent of its nightly news coverage to the death of Michael Jackson, you can't scruple at getting down with the hoi polloi.

To the contrary, Kurtz praised Rodriguez's assigned coverage of Jackson and how she "...embraced the story, interviewing, among others, the Jackson family attorney, his former publicist, the nurse who worked for Jackson in his final months and a producer who was with him the night before he died. She says she's ‘proud' of the two weeks of heavy coverage."

Perhaps Rodriguez does believe that Jackson's death is real news for 14 days. After all, someone has to report that Michael Jackson still is dead.

Yikes!

Proud of the Michael Jackson coverage?  Yet, she wants an "all news show" for her "viewing pleasure"?  Just another fine example of the complete intellectual dishonesty of our friends on the left.  Totally disgusting that she doesn't even realize the contradictory nature of her comments.  As Hannity has said, 2008 was the year journalism died in this country.

That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends,
it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to

Cult of personality

It's airweena's like her who elected Obeyme. No matter what, don't confuse these people with facts and reality. They're too busy worshiping the idols of their worldview.

Maggie!

Of course Maggie Rodriguez is lying!  She is easily a journalistic snob!

and from this remark of

and from this remark of her's, alone, you can see she doesn't have a reason to be any kind of snob, her crap can only be dreck if she thinks the wall to wall coverage something to be proud of.

CBS can show whatever they want. I never watch it anymore.                                                   P.S. M. Jackson is still dead.

So she's "proud" of their

So she's "proud" of their coverage of an entertainer who led a questionable life.  Well, my cat can be pretty darn proud when she kills a lizard on the back porch, but it doesn't make it any more pleasant to witness.

Yet You Apparently Can't Leave The Dead Alone As Well...

I don't even want to think about Michael Jackson tight now because it's over. The poor man died, the media vultures covered him as a form of penance, and now he is most likely haunting the dentist that brought ruin to him. Maybe you should just ignore these passing observations and just get to the real issues that exist. I'm certainly more interested in what the economy is doing now than I am beating a brain-damaged horse, if you get the reference.

You're engaging in self-flagellation?

Will he break James Brown's record for remaining unburied for longer than 75 days?

That guy even beat out Anna Nicole Smith.

Then maybe you can

Then maybe you can appreciate the angst that Wacko Jacko brought to at least one young boy.  Jackson did not pay that one kid $22M in damages for nothing.   He may not have been convicted, be he was guilty as hell, and now he is the prime entertainment in Hell.
