Don't you love it when the Old Media dredges up some partisan hack Democrat supporter and presents them as an "expect" that is never identified as a partisan political hack? Well, you may not love it, but it sure seems to happen an awful lot. And here we see another example of that lame bias by our old friend Anne Sutton, an AP writer that is renown for her hit pieces on Governor Palin and her family.
This AP piece is supposedly describing "Sarah Palin's Bad Week," in which mountains are made of molehills over and over again. Little of this "report" is of note but one thing does stand out. That would be the quoting by writer Sutton of Ross Baker. Baker is described as a "political science professor " from Rutgers University (New Jersey) and is featured saying how bad things are for Palin these days.
Political experts agree that if Ms. Palin does want to succeed nationally, she's got to do a good job at home. But Rutgers University political science professor Ross Baker said it's been a rocky road so far.
“I think she's still ill at ease as a national figure. She just hasn't been very good at juggling her state responsibilities versus her new national image.”
Boy, sounds bad for Mrs. Palin, eh? That wonderful "expert" is saying so, right? I mean, he's GOT to know what he's talking about, doesn't he? Why, he's a "professor" and all. A smart, informed, unbiased, academic type of fella, don'tcha know?
Well, maybe not so unbiased. A little ten seconds of Google research reveals that Baker is a long-time Democrat Party activist as his biography page from Rutgers reveals.
Professor Baker served on the staffs of Senators Walter F. Mondale, Birch Bayh, and Frank Church, and as a consultant to the Democratic Caucus of the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2000, he served as a senior adviser to Senator Chuck Hagel (R-Nebraska) and Patrick J. Leahy (D-Vermont).
Wow, a Democrat activist that goes back at least 40 years is now serving as the APs unbiased "expert"?
Way to go AP!
Unfortunately, this decades-long political hack is also involved in a program that influences young Americans as they intern in D.C. in various political offices and concerns. So, I am sure he is being “unbiased” with our impressionable young people in Washington D.C., too, right? Great, huh?

Let's have a closer look at
April 4, 2009 - 06:38 ET by ThisnThatLet's have a closer look at some of the "problems" cited in this full-of-crap article:
Sen. John McCain said he wouldn't commit to supporting her for president if she ran in 2012. Hmmmm. Palin is rejecting most of the Stimulus. McCain ran on a platform of "No Pork". The stimulus is pork. What's McCain's problem, here? The problem is McCain -- he's just discovered Palin isn't Democrat Party enough, I think.
“Legislators hold the purse strings,” she wrote in an e-mail without acknowledging that she holds the veto power. Wow! That stings. Didn't Palin know that she has to include the phrase "I hold the veto power" in every pronouncement? You're right, AP -- that, by itself, would make any politition reel.
On Thursday the state's largest native organization released a scathing critique of her choice of Anchorage attorney Wayne Anthony Ross for attorney general. He's been an outspoken opponent of the U.S. federal law giving rural Alaskans a preference in subsistence hunting and fishing in the state, arguing it's unconstitutional. Well, there you go. Trying to hire someone who thinks it's unconstitutional to keep giving special preferences to people who don't need them. Fire Palin -- that's all I've got to say. No more defense of the constitution, PLEASE.
If she loses re-election or has an unexpectedly difficult re-election, that could damage any prospects for other jobs down the line. Anybody ever hear of Reagan? He lost the Primary to Ford in '76. He also lost to Nixon in '68. I guess there weren't as many liberal-biased "experts" around at that time, eh?
This article is one of the most biased hit-pieces I've seen. Portrayed as news, of course, by dolts and idiots.

Re McCain
April 4, 2009 - 09:40 ET by slickwillie2001I saw the whole McCain segment on the TV box, which you really have to do to avoid liberal media misquoting and splicing. I saw nothing wrong with what he said. I am not going to commit to voting for someone without knowing who else is running, as long as they are all Republicans. Why would McCain make a commitment now that would be played back against him in the future? And isn't this a big hint that McCain might run again in 2012?
Has Palin changed? Or is
April 4, 2009 - 13:01 ET by ThisnThatHas Palin changed? Or is she the same as she was when selected by McCain? I think she's the same. The big difference is the way the MSM has treated her, and that, unfortunately, is what is swaying McCain away from her. McCain -- when he selected Palin -- already said "I've evaluated all the Republicans, and Palin is the best". He needs to stick with that assessment unless he can prove that she's changed.
Her refusal to change is also what's driving the MSM wild. Their trademark is the following: "We don't like you. Therefore, you must change. And if you don't, we'll write things against you that you simply won't believe."
And that's what they've done. Read the AP article. "Sitting in the hallway outside her Juneau office in clogs and a puffy down vest, Ms. Palin chatted with lawmakers, looking more like the small town mayor she once was than the self-proclaimed “pit bull” in the glamorous garb who electrified rallies last fall." I have to ask the AP -- what part of that statement is news, and what part of it is the insanely jealous and angry ravings of a lunatic AP writer? None of it is news. It's simply another way to try to demean a very successful polititian. The problem with McCain is that he caves into this type of daily pressure, afraid that the liberal stench might wipe off on him.

Sarah Palin's clothing
April 4, 2009 - 18:53 ET by merlin61Oh, when she wore glamorous clothing, she was
over-spending money and they practically accused
her of treason for looking good. Put on a puffy
vest and clogs and she's a nobody. With all the
media proclaiming Michelle Obama a fashion
guru and princess and a second Jacqueline
Kennedy from Camelot,nobody's asking what
the cost of her clothes are, and who's paying for
them. I can't stand the adulation for Michelle and
the downright hatred for Sarah Palin. Its almost
as bad as BDS.
I find it remarkable that
April 4, 2009 - 06:46 ET by mostlymoderateI find it remarkable that Gov. Palin scares the left-wing-nuts this much. Democrats break every rule of common decency when it comes to Mrs. Palin. They lie about her, twist the truth, call her names, make sexist remarks, attack her family, attack Alaska etc. When Mrs. Palin is attacked by the left, I feel attacked. I can't say that about too many other public figures.
It's one thing to oppose Palin on her policies,
April 4, 2009 - 08:28 ET by thebutlerdiditbut I actually saw somewhere that Todd Palin's father's second wife's daughter, whom Todd didn't even grow up with, or really know, was arrested for stealing at someone's house. They were saying she shouldn't be a Governor because her family is too chaotic. WHAT??? These people forgot who the Kennedy's are? LOL. I love how other people's actions are somehow the person they are related to, however tenuously, fault. I guess by that logic, I am horrible, because my ex-husband's half brother knocked over a Quikshop when he was in his early 20's. Oh! I forgot! My daughter got pregnant as a teen, too. Someone come shoot me now.
All a Democrat needs is the upper-story window of public attention and the chamber pot of rhetoric. How else to explain the rise of Joe Biden? P.J. O' Rourke

April 4, 2009 - 08:53 ET by nadadhimmiThe dems and MSM are scared of Palin. She connects on an elemental level with most middle class people. Except the ones who hate whom they are told to hate. If you ask most people that dislike Palin why they dislike her, they will just look at you with an idiotic expression, and a general tone of: don't you know you're SUPPOSSED to??????These are the sheep of Orwells "Animal Farm". Of course, the demicans are the Pigs.
Sarah Palin and “Joe” the “Plumber” in 2012!
April 4, 2009 - 11:17 ET by Flying_DutchmanPoor Sarah Palin. For everything she does or tries to do, she comes off looking like a fool. I wonder why that is?
Even her own Republican party is distancing themselves from her now. Have they all forgotten the dear Sarah has brought us all fresh, new and dare I say positive perspectives on pit bulls with lipstick, hackee mams, high school dropouts, unwed teenage motherhood, and drill baby, drill? You betcha’ she has, and to an ungrateful nation I say; I hope Sarah Palin is like the Energizer bunny and keeps going, and going and going ...
