Mayor Gary Becker of Racine, Wisconsin, received some unwanted attention from the Old Media and the local police today because of his arrest for using a computer to solicit sex from a child. According to the Associated Press, Becker is "tentatively charged with attempted second-degree sexual assault of a child, child enticement, possession of child pornography, exposing a child to harmful materials, using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and misconduct in public office."
The AP spends several paragraphs detailing the world of Mayor Becker. It describes his election, his marriage and kids. It describes his accused crime and where and how he was snapped up by the police. But there is one little thing the AP can't seem to find any information on... his party.
That's right, once again the Old Media gives us an alleged criminal sexual pervert politician and somehow forgets to mention the accused is a Democrat.
The Madison Paper was able to recall his party, thankfully, but few of the other reports bother to mention it.
Of course, we know he's not a Republican because the headline doesn't say "Republican Mayor Arrested for Attempted Child Sex Assault."

January 15, 2009 - 02:00 ET by bigtimerThis is getting far beyond infuriating now with the no news is good news when it comes to the leftist party...in unison the msm could not wait to report about the Mayor of Spokane, the gay groups leading the way along with Soros group MM, until he was either dead or unseated, named his party constantly, part of the Culture of Corruption era...they made it a huge effort because he dare not vote for gay rights somewhere...I could look up the link, too tired now, but you get my point....(he died from cancer not long ago)
But ....Nary a word about this.
I am really getting tired of this "mums the word"...let alone party affiliation when it comes to just how many 'D's that are and have been in serious trouble, indicted, stepped down or are in jail now?
Thank goodness for the internet...but when is something going to be done about this msm wise?

I did find the mayor is a member of an anti-gun ownership group and with the pervert arrest figured definetly a Dem. Thanks for clarifying!

I recall particularly that in the days leading up to 9/11, Brit Hume apparently thought the most important issue facing the Free World was the alleged omission of Condit's party designation by the media, and he made frequent reference to this egregious oversight in his Fox "news"casts.
My curiosity piqued, I began paying close attention to whether my admittedly liberal-oriented Atlanta Journal-Constitution was part of the conspiracy. Nope. Practically every edition which I examined during that time period contained prominent stories about the Condit/Levy scandal, and in each and every one of those editions it was noted that Rep. Gary Condit was indeed a Democrat. And he was routinely identified as such by the rest of the MSM--maybe not in every single news item even remotely relating to Condit [they numbered in the thousands] but certainly with sufficient regularity that no one should have been confused about his party affiliation.
