On Gov. Palin All the Lies Fit to Print

  • Bookmark and Share

It seems that Froma Harrop of Creator's Syndicate news service was on vacation from just about five days before the general election until today and she's just catching up on all the Palin hatin' she must have missed. Unfortunately for Harrop, she still hasn't caught up with the truth yet because her latest is filled with every lie about Governor Palin she could jam into one column, quite despite that for weeks her digs have been proven lies.

In hers headlined, "Palin should move to TV talk show," Harrop proves that she should move from Creator’s Syndiacte to the National Enquirer... unless Creator's Syndicate is trying to unseat the supermarket tabloid in hack writing. If that is the case, then Harrop is on the right track.

Story Continues Below Ad ↓

Harrop starts with the canard that Palin was the one that bought the $150,000 wardrobe during the campaign. This is an outright lie as not one single reputable report laid the spending on Palin herself. Whether it was wrong to do or not, others did this spending like campaign staffers and the Republican National Committee. Also the clothes ended up being given to charities after the campaign was done. There is not a single shred of proof that Palin was the one that either requested the spending or did any of this shopping herself. In fact, it appears that a single GOP donor initially paid for the clothing with his donation to the RNC.

Obviously, Harrop hadn't a single fact at her command from the start.

Harrop then unleashes a line that is amusing for its disconnect from simple logic. She claims that Republicans were asked on the Sunday talk shows how they could defend the choice of Gov. Palin for the vp slot? "They gallantly withheld overt criticism," she wrote, "but offered enough faint praise to sink any of her lingering ambitions for 2012."

So, now NOT criticizing is really criticizing? In other words, no matter what these unnamed Republicans that Harrop is citing said about Palin it was damning, even when they didn't actually criticize her at all? It seems more like she heard inside her head what she wanted to hear. She hated Palin so every word anyone said of her was twisted inside of Harrop's ample grey matter to mean Palin was rotten to the core. "Sarah is great," became "Sarrah is the worst in the world and everyone knows it," as far as Harrop is concerned. Talk about refusing to see reality for what it is!

Next Harrop decided to let every governor of the nation know that they don't have a high office.

So what is next for Palin? She's clearly got native smarts, but not the intellectual heft required to hold high office.

I guess governor isn't a "high office"? That would be news to America's governors, wouldn't it? And the fact that many of our presidents have come from the ranks of our governors, well that might make the lie to Harrop's little fantasy world, there. Wouldn't you say?

Then we get the next straight out lie promulgated by Harrop's hate-filled rant.

The depth of that deficit became clear in the "reports" of a John McCain adviser complaining that she didn't know Africa was a continent. Though obviously no Palin fan, even I question such an extraordinary charge, especially attached to unnamed sources.

This fake charge was originally made by one Martin Eisenstadt, a supposed Republican strategist. But by November 12, it was revealed that Martin Eisenstadt doesn't even exist and that it was a made up persona meant to hoax the newsertainment industry.

I suppose that Harrop is trying to be clever by adding, "Palin says it is not true," as if this inclusion of the denial absolves Harrop of furthering the lie. But it absolutely does not do so. One need not continue to have to refute a story when the story has been flat out proven to be a lie.

Harrop is either wholly uninformed about the truth here, or she is purposefully promulgating a story that she knows has been proven untrue. In either case she makes herself either look like a fool or a liar. (And I use the word liar specifically, not just pejoratively. If she knows it is untrue but used the jab anyway she is simply lying to her readers. Period.)

Then we get Harrop using the false authority of her Old Media colleague’s determinations as a way to ding Palin. Harrop says "Her divisive remarks during the campaign…," but this determination of "divisiveness" was one made by the news media. There was no hate or divisiveness in Palin's speeches as far as her voters were concerned. There were facts and characterizations used by Palin during the campaign, and they were themes that the largest number of Republicans fully agreed with. The only people that thought she was "divisive" were media types and Obamatons, neither of whom would have voted for Palin regardless.

Then Harrop goes on to prove she has no clue what she's talking about reading political futures.

Her hope of staying in the big game was to become a U.S. senator. The preferred path would have been through Alaska's Sen. Ted Stevens' downfall.

So, Harrop thinks she has the crystal ball to determine that this was Palin's only "hope of staying in the game"? Says who? One can go back and look at dozens and dozens of politicians whose careers were determined to be over because of the loss of an election, not the least of which was Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln ran for an Illinois Senate seat in 1854, lost to Stephen Douglas, "the Little Giant," and retired to his law offices afterward. All the nattering Harrops of his day said he was finished as a politician. But, there was that other little episode where he later became president to confuse those crystal ball reading Harrops of the 1860s.

Froma Harrop committed journalistic malpractice of a gross nature with this lie-filled, uniformed rant. But, where Governor Sarah Palin is concerned, Harrop's slobbering is wholly unoriginal. She, like many of her hate addled colleagues, are so consumed with vitriol for Sarah Palin that any manner of lies and false charges are fair game and are to be considered "facts" in their world of venomous malignity. As far as Palin is concerned it’s attack now, worry about truth later… or not at all. And in Harrop’s case it is not at all because she regurgitates lies here that have been thoroughly debunked weeks ago.

Like those of the rest of her profession, Froma Harrop has a visceral hatred of Palin and a nearly pathological need to destroy her. Facts don't matter. Truth is unnecessary. Decorum and objectivity are disdained.

They just want Palin destroyed and they will do anything to get that job done.

In either case she makes

In either case she makes herself either look like a fool or a liar.

How about both?

A vicious liar who, even at this late date, feels the need to get in on the Palin-hating; and a fool for thinking people would swallow it.

I feel her name is

I feel her name is misspelled. Shouldn't it be Frumpy Harrumph?

Works for me!

Works for me!

Harrop is no late-comer to the Palin-hating scene.  She started way back in September, with a vicious column in which she wrote:

A 44-year-old who parades her dysfunctional family as a poster-child for conservative values.

Palin returned to the job three days after giving birth to a special needs child, all the while her 17-year-old is entertaining a lover.

But all she [an unnamed friend, who just before had asked "Don't they have birth control up in Alaska?"] could now see was that picture of Palin's pregnant 17-year-old looking defiant and stupid as she held mom's fifth baby.

Froma

I dont usually get personal because when you do you lose the debate.  But I've had the notion ever since Froma showed up in our local paper that her momma put one strike against her by naming her Froma.  Froma what?  Froma long way off?

Anyway,..,.

More like...

I think it's more like "Froma state of mental instability."

My first thought

was harlot...

the saga continues

To me, if they are still beating on Sarah that is an indication of how frightfully effective she was in this race.

Sarah is coming to Perry, Ga. tomorrow to give a hand to Saxby C in the run-off Tuesday. We have a HUGE agricultural center and National Fairground here, and I'll bet any money the grounds will be slam full of people wanting to see her!

This red state L-O-V-E loves her!

Frumpy H. indeed.

Best wishes

Best wishes to Saxby Chambliss on Tuesday.  Will keep a watch on this.  Sure wish I could be in Perry to see Sarah Palin, but can't make it. Will be there in spirit.

Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh air.  She never had a silver spoon in her mouth.  These continuous attacks only prove the media is very fearful of her and will take every opportunity to try to destroy her.

"If we conservatives moved to those seven non-existent States, the government couldn’t find us and tax us to death!"

I think Sarah will be back

I think Sarah will be back and better than ever. It's just we can't be like the Obamatons and hoping for one person to change everything. We gotta pave the ground for better leaders as a whole country. I've noticed that there's this cynicsm that we can't do anything, but if you don't do anything there won't be anything done.

Basically, we must tend the ground to ensure that people like Sarah and her ilk can come back. We can still make the politicians do what we want by contacting them and giving them feedback. Also, we can hurt the media by not buying their stuff. As Rush said earlier, we have our work cut out for us either way, and I think he's right.

nominee?

a nominee for the Jason Blair Award?

(why let the facts get in the way of a good story)

Or perhaps

The Amy Goodman lack of journalistic integrity award.  That's my name for any female leftist fascist reporter who hates America!

For the record, I am NOT RECOGNIZING BARRACK HUSSEIN OBAMA ODINGA AS
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!  I would like to become part of a
secession front!

I can't help but wonder...

What is driving this obsessive media hate for Palin. The Gov never did anything to deserve this constant bashing. It's ridiculous!

Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

Yes, there are at least two

Yes, there are at least two villains in this childish ploy:

1: Some group or interest is certainly keeping the hate-Palin pot boiling (The left? George Soros? The bow-tied, tassled shoe Republicans old timers? International groups? Who knows? But there's lots of time, energy and money being invested in this.

2: The MSM, who gleefully run every accusation against Gov Palin they can generate.

One thing for sure: somebody wants her out of the national picture, and will do anything to prevent her from getting the spotlight again. They are very afraid of Sarah Palin. And that says a lot about them.

Lies about Sarah.

This is beginning to be a dangerous trend. After awhile truth and fact won't matter. I refuse to watch TV anymore. It is nothing but a liberal propaganda tool for the anti-American Democrat party. OMG I still can not believe that Obama won. These vicious ongoing attacks on Gov. Palin are very, very disturbing. Is there no law to prevent such libel?

Truth and Fact?

And refusing to watch doesn't mean that the ignorant masses have stopped.  The propaganda flows whether we watch or not.  More's the pity.  I've stopped watching long ago.  The combined (and orchestrated) attacks on Sarah Palin will continue until she is dead or no longer a viable candidate for anything.  Even Mayor of a town of 3000 people.  The Left has made it their job to make sure she is destroyed.

The medias are merely one weapon the Left uses.  They got Hussein elected.

It must drive them crazy

that in spite of continued bashing the MSM has not been able to break Gov Palin down.  It appears that there is a contest to see who can be the one to humiliate Palin enough to teach her to stay in her place.  However Palin appears to let all the snot and vitrolic snipes roll off her back - she is indeed a woman who knows herself and is comfortable in her own skin.

Palin/2012 Signage

Go to my personal account and check out the redone '08 sign that has lasted two weeks in the circle in downtown Waterville, Maine, George Mitchell's home town, Colby College, etc.

Norto

Went to your personal account but I couldn't enlarge the picture.  Don't know what it says.

"If we conservatives moved to those seven non-existent States, the government couldn’t find us and tax us to death!"

Sorry, Norto

The picture is too small.  I can make out that it has 'Palin' on it but cannot read anything else.

To see how successful these

To see how successful these attacks on Sarah have been please view www.howobamagotelected.com

The propaganda machine is still in full swing!  As far as this video goes, I contend that 98% of the nincompoops interviewed for it would never have voted for McCain/Palin anyway.

I also contend there ought to be a test administered at the polls in order to vote.  Else we get stuck with the current president-elect again.

Prostitutes All!!!

It should be obvious to everybody by now that the MSM are nothing but prostitutes for the Democratic Party and Barack Obama himself.

With her smooth bore mouth and pistol grip ears, Froma Harrop should be Obama's favorite choice when he needs relief from the truth.

Warner

If the actual article lied and said she bought the clothes I would agree with you, but I'm sorry, I do not see where the author said that Palin bought the clothes, only that she should have kept them which are two totally different things no?

"Sarah Palin should have run up the white flag of surrender and kept the
clothes. They were gorgeous, and there really was no reason to give up
the $150,000 wardrobe unless she planned to run again under the
Wal-Mart Mom persona. Surely she knows that's over".

Warner I don't deny Palins rockstar persona and she inspired a base that was only lukewarm tom McCain. She can command huge crowds thats for sure.

The thing is the base loves her, she can tell them to go out and buy Amway and they would do it, however the 60 minute interviews, the Charlie Gibson interviews, and the fake prank call did not help her much among moderate republicans,   and independents and these voters are the ones that decide election.

He had my vote

Harrop the hag---------

The people who dislike Palin can't allow her to succeed, if she does she sets a whole new standard for women politicians. Just look at most all current women involved in election politics, they're for the most part hard to look at. Sarah Palin is easy on the eyes and no matter what this Harrop hag says she is smart and I would say more prepared for the job of president than Obama. It would be instructive to hear a debate on the extraction of petroleum and accompanied infrastructure between Palin and any democrat, she would mop the floor with them.

"What's this bug me business and don't call me baby."

Am I missing somthing?

What’s a Froma Harrop?

What’s a Froma Harrop?

When you have to really go take a dump for a while and by the time you get to the John and pull down your pants, you might see a small Hershey Squirt in your underwear.  That's a Froma Harrop.

Team Sarah

Hey, if any of you guys want to get involved, join up over at Team Sarah. this is the group Jeri Thompson and Janine Turner started.

Hi Gary... I have hard

Hi Gary...

I have hard about this before, in fact on Fox from Janine Turner herself (who I really like)... plus, I also saw Jerri's interview, I also like her, what the msm did to her was despicable...anyway, it is too far down the road for me before I back anybody at all yet.

Unless John Bolton announced he was running...   ;-)

Glad you have it here for others though who do want to join now.

"America isn't the problem...America is the solution." ~ Rush Limbaugh

Yeah, it's a nice deal.

Yeah, it's a nice deal. There are blogs and a forum, which is pretty busy. Obviously it's all about Sarah, but there are some general politic forums as well.

There are some great possibilities for 2010 and 2012, if we can run the RINOs off, or at least get them out of leadership roles. They keep wanting to be democrat lite, and that is disastrous!

I can envision Palin/Jindal, or even Palin/Sanford. But you are right, it's very early. Also gotta see what BoBo does, and how big of a mess he leaves us.

Sarah motivates the conservative GOP base

The only thing positive I can say about the McCain 2008 campaign was the introduction of Governor Palin to the MSM.

And the bonus: Both the unhinged left and County Club RINOs equally hate Palin. Conservativism might make a come back the GOP in 2010.

PLEASE!

Please, please, oh PLEASE!!!

Obama's overwhelming victory was more than I could have asked for.  Keeping Sarah Palin on the scene is the icing on the cake. I am personally committed to making the maximum financial contribution to her 2012 primary campaign.  Please make her the face of the Republican party.  She will do nothing but guarantee Obama's second term (YWC!) and even perhaps bring in a 70(?!?) person majority in the Senate.

Keep those Palin sound bites coming. Keep her on TV.  Keep her pardoning turkeys.  Keep her being herself and making 2012 the easiest re-election ever...
