I see all of the points you made had ZERO to do with her Governing ability and how it relates to the US Constitution. That is a typical ad hominem argument. Have you reviewed her philosophy on Leveraging debt vs tax revenues? What is her position on maintaining a tight budget? Have you reviewed her fiscal reports over the years as an Executive? Since you seem to be concerned about social issues, what about her philosophy on Supreme Court Justices? I know that to people like you, snowmobile racing is very important along with MTV, but I am a LITTLE more concerned about making sure the size of Government is being reduced, and moving more towards the Republic as outlined in the US Constitution. For an executive in the US Govt, that is paramount over your social concerns.  The Great parents and clergy of this country will take care of those social issues as you mentioned, NOT VP Palin.

I'm sorry but you are not correct in describing Gov. Palin as the quintessential feminist. A true feminist has no children because they were all aborted. When did it become wrong for a man to love his family and support his wife in her success? This is the first I have heard of them getting tattoos. Where did that information come from? Her church does not embrace homosexuality  nor does her family wear gangsta clothes. Your post does not display humility or selflessness. Should Gov. Palin give up all of her accomplishments, go home and stay barefoot to please you?

Sounds to me like you are looking for ABSOLUTE PERFECTION.  You are not going to get it. 

 First off, Sarah is the quintessential product of the feminist movement. It seems to me that she puts more importance on her ambitions and career than on her family.  Really?  Reports are that she goes way out of her way to do both.  What do you suggest she do?  I see no problem with a woman who tries to do both.  She tries to "have it all".  We ALL do.  What is your point? This is always impossible, and something always has to give. This family blurs the line between a Man's and a woman's roll in family and life.  When have the roles of men and women been fixed?  This isn't an agrarian society...well, at least, not anymore. The images of her husband holding their infant in his arms at the RNC was unsettling.  Oh, HORRORS!!!  The husband holding the baby!!!  HOW DARE HE!!!  They were going out of their way to put the child on display in a way that made Sarah's husband look like a "MR. Mom".  Again, what's wrong with that?  Does being a father somehow horrify you?  Most normal people would not expose an infant to such a loud  place as the RNC convention.  For all we know he had cotton in his ears.  Besides, I have seen infants in all manner of noisy places. 

Also, Sarah's husband likes being called: "the first dude". I find the term "dude" to be condescending and ridiculously too informal for his title. I object to being called "dude" myself, I take it as an insult because it likens one to a party animal without responsibility.  Well, you are Todd Palin all of a sudden?  I'm still referred to as "dude" on occasion.  I'm not going to get my panties in a bunch over that.  I have more pressing matters.  I don't know the man but I am willing to bet Todd Palin feels the same way.

Also, Sarah's husband takes pride in the attention seeking and thrill seeking activity of competition snow machine races.  My one regret in AK was never doing any snow machining.  My schedule always worked against that, sadly.  I find that loud, risky attention seeking and thrill seeking behavior is the exact opposite of humility.  Huh?  Humility, modesty and selflessness are three spiritual principles that I hold in high regard.  I'd be interested in knowing what your definitions of all three are.  I suspect you'd be horrified at my going to some half-marathons this fall.  Not to compete and win (for I know I can't do that quite yet!) but as an endurance test and a way to keep myself in shape. Unfortunately, today's popular culture puts attention seeking, popularity, thrills and pleasures above spiritual principles.  I know it is heartbreaking, but we don't live in a Puritan theocracy where people are forced only to work and go to church.  Some of us really like to enjoy ourselves and manage to accomplish working and going to church (some of us anyways.)  By the way...should the United States even have an Olympic Committee for that matter?  Should those who medaled in Beijing an month ago be condemned for not having "humility" and "modesty"?

Also, Sarah and her husband are planning to get small "meaningful' tattoos. This is just another example of how they have fallen into the mindset of today's popular culture that celebrates anything that is different, because the see diversity, in and of itself, as a virtue. Today's popular culture opposes all forms of restraint and judgment.  So what?  If you don't want one, don't get one.  And by the way, there really isn't anything "diverse" about getting a tattoo anymore.  If anything, I'm the oddball for having none.

Also, their Church is non-denominational and embraces open homosexuality. This is another example of how the Palin's are opposed to moral restraint and judgment.  So, enlighten us, since it seems that non-denominational churches horrify you, what denomination should they attend?  You seem a very nosy busybody who leads a completely perfect life with all the answers, so that should be very simple.  As for the charge that the church embraces open homosexuality, this is the opposite of what has been charged in the media. 

It seems that the Palin's typify all that is wrong with the attitude of today's society.  Hardly.  For one thing they have been married over two decades.  Not many people can make that claim, no?  They seem to place "being cool" above being righteous. I think you are enraged they aren't Puritans.  The reason why we see today's MTV youth emulating gangsters in dress, attitude and language, is because it is deemed to be cool and popular.  Shocking, no, that teenagers do that?  Even better...when I was growing up the only MTV I ever saw or wanted to see was Headbanger's Ball.  So how positively EVIL am I for doing that?  Hmmmmm?  Sarah and her family also have lives that revolve around being cool and popular, the only difference is that they run in different circles.  I am sure that if they read your screed they would immediately apologize to you for not leading 100% austere lives where they only work and go to church.  They run in the same circles as the parents who are bringing up the MTV generation.  Look, I think MTV sucks and has for decades, but I can hardly run around blaming them for everything under the sun.   The result will inevitably be, the degradation of our society.   Society will degrade unless we follow your perfect shining example, eh?  Oh, I don't know...they've been married for over 20 years and have had five children who have been raised by both parents.  I'd posit that society would be uplifted if more people did this.

It is apparent to anyone who reads your posts that you are an elitist, and that is NOT a conservative value. First you claim that Sarah bothers you because she a woman who's running for office. Then you complain that the "title" of "dude" bothers you. This is followed by your claim that tattoos bother you. And let's not forget that you don't like the that fact that the Palin family is "blurring the lines" between a man and a woman and even that a snowmobile competition is the exact opposite of humility even though it is the ability to win or lose gracefully (without rancor or petulance) which defines humility. All these are just a few of the indications as to your elitist attitude

Still, my whole point with these stories is that the family should not be a focus on matters political. Did you claim that Al Gore was suddenly unqualified to be VP when his son was arrested for drunk driving and drugs?

So, if my whole point has been to say that the kids lives are not part of the political debate, WHY would I suddenly start talking about Track's life???
