The AP had a short newsbreak story on Lorain County Common Pleas Judge James Burge who ruled that the state must stop the method of executions in the state, saying that the "lethal injection procedure doesn't provide the quick and painless death required by Ohio law." Accompanying the short story is the picture we post here showing the judge in his office where he proudly displays two posters, one with murderer, insurrectionist and communist Che Guevara upon it and the other is the famous "Hope" poster put out by the Barack Obama campaign.
This makes one wonder about the lack of reaction to this photo seen today from the media. Let us imagine if this judge happened to be considered a conservative. Supposing this judge had a poster of a right-wing dictator -- maybe even Hitler -- displayed side-by-side with a John McCain for president poster or a George W. Bush poster. So, what would the media be doing today should such a picture coupling McCain with a murderous, oppressor on the right be making the rounds? Who can doubt that the media would be completely out of it's mind (and rightfully so, by the way) about a judge that would seem to be celebrating a right-wing dictator?
Yet, here we have a judge, a public official, proudly showing fealty to a monster of the left, Che Guevara, a man that despised the U.S. and everything it stands for, without the media raising even a whimper! In fact, they publish it as if this judge deserved to be given respect.
My comparison between Che and Hitler is exact, too, even as Che wasn't quite up to the criminal totality of Adolf Hitler, it wasn't because he didn't want to be, it was just because he didn't have the power to be a Hitler redux.
If you need any other proof that the media is blind to the anti-Americanism that is leftism, this is it.
**Update**
I want to clarify a point here. I have had someone question what I mean about Hitler being a "right-wing dictator." My use of Hitler was in response to how the media would see an opposite of a Che Guevara type. I am not implying that Hitler was a conservative, or right-wing. Hitler's ideology is clearly the perfect example of the ultimate destination of leftist thought. He was a socialist, and the quintessential left-winger, not a conservative.

Because of this judge's admiration of such an evil man as Che, every single thing he does as a judge should be suspect.

Convert them one at a time
June 17, 2008 - 08:31 ET by kevinm13Angry White Dude:
Thanks for taking the time with the young guy who was obviously clueless on what he was wearing. Most of the time, it is a lifetime of education. We have to teach the kids who have had years of liberal brainwashing in the schools. Teach each of them about conservative points of view and why we want our politicians and judges to follow them and over time they convert. We need to neuter the leftist media like the AP, the networks, most newspapers. Write letters to the editor, take kids aside to teach them about what they are representing, speak loudly against lies.
Impeach judges who obviously aren't neutral. Any judge with an Obama poster next to a Che Guevera poster needs to be impeached. Convert them one at a time.

June 16, 2008 - 20:02 ET by ConservativeRexWhy has Burge not been run out of his county? Why in hell are we allowing this kind of crap to continue in our country? If this joker displays this kind of crap in his court room he has given up any and all pretense of impartiality.

And this is how these Commies get their hooks into American culture. I reckon it's time to put a stop to this kind of nonsense.

"Abstain from McCain"
It's Simple
June 16, 2008 - 20:52 ET by geoff.galeCR, it's really quite simple - ignorance and sloth.
The ignorance part is easy - most people don't think twice about seeing Che - hell, he's been a staple on tee-shirts for close to half a century. If you showed Che's picture to a representative sample of Americans, I think that more of them than not would say something like "hey, that's that dude from the tee-shirts." They don't know who Che is, or if they do, they don't know the details of his life and actions. Truth is that most people don't like to think that deeply about their world - it disturbs them.
The sloth part comes in when it comes time to vote. A majority of people don't put much effort into our political process. Voter turnouts of ~35% don't bode well for a democracy, my friend. Even worse, how many of the voters who have the chance to vote on Burge don't know who he is and what he represents because they couldn't be arsed to do their homework before voting? They couldn't even read the voting guide from the League of Women Voters that came in the paper a couple of weeks before the election because they were in a hurry to get to the sports section. They vote based on the number of lawn signs they've seen or maybe on the TV ads.
Democracy is a cruel mistress - she demands our attention and effort in order to keep her focused on loving us. If we turn our backs on her, don't pay her enough attention, and don't put enough energy into our relationship, she'll start cheating on us big time! If we keep ignoring her, eventually one day we'll find a "Dear John" on the mantle, our Playstation will be missing and she's split with next month's rent and our best friend and maybe our favourite CD.

Also known as Partial-birth Abortion, this procedure takes three days. During the first two days, the cervix is dilated and medication is given for cramping. On the third day, the woman receives medication to start labor. After labor begins, the abortion doctor uses ultrasound to locate the baby's legs. Grasping a leg with forceps, the doctor delivers the baby up to the baby's head. Next, scissors are inserted into the base of the skull to create an opening. A suction catheter is placed into the opening to remove the skull contents. The skull collapses and the baby is removed.

Painless is the easy part
June 16, 2008 - 21:07 ET by geoff.galePersonally, I'd like to see the condemned farmed out for body parts. We have the opportunity to do all the tissue typing and physical examination of the tissues ahead of time, so it should be a trivial matter to arrange for the appropriate recipients to be prepped and waiting at the time of execution. Put the condemed under a good general anaesthetic, harvest the organs one at a time in some order that makes good clinical sense, then turn the condemned's empty carcass over to his next-of-kin.
It's a win-win-win. The painless hurdle has been satisfied, the condemned never felt a thing after the saline drip line was placed in his arm; social good is being done, numerous recipients are helped and the cost of another prisoner eliminated; capital punishment is meted out as dictated by the court. You'll have trouble finding doctors to participate, what with the Hippocratic Oath and all, but since it's a one way trip, not a surgery in which you expect recovery, maybe you don't need a doctor, just a skilled technician. You only need the doctors for the organ recipients - you want them to live long and prosper.

Sometimes you have to pull the liberals a little slack, too many lightening strikes on the tin foil, you know.

Why Would They Be Outraged?
June 16, 2008 - 20:46 ET by ChasvsHey,
Why would the Marxist/socialist loving MSM be outraged at this sort of thing? This is what they want for America! You know, TAKE from those who have and GIVE to those who want to sit on their asses all day!
Libs are the most evil people on this plant! Heck, the biggest thing the barbarian islamofacists hate about america are the things that the liberals hold most dear!
disagree on one point
June 17, 2008 - 09:34 ET by mbuelThe biggest thing that Islamofascists hate about us is our freedom.
The biggest thing the Marxist/libs hate about us is our responsibility.
Freedom without responsibility is anarchy. That's the direction the libs are going, for it is easier to rule a divided class of people than to rule strong individuals united in love for their country. Hence they create classes, and class warfare, and sexual warfare, etc.
